I can't remember the last time I went shopping at a TJ Maxx store. I came in looking for a new purse. I'm very picky when it comes to purses. It has to have a pouch on the outside to slip my cell phone in and I also like multiple areas sectioned off on the inside. Well, I ended up finding 2 purses that met my criteria and I love them! I found some adorable kids sunglasses that come in a little hard shelled case with handles for the grandkids- sharks for the boy and llamas and rainbows for the girls. I found things I didn't even know I needed! In housewares they had these plastic containers made to organize your freezer or refrigerator. One set of two has about 4" sides to keep everything in and it even has little wheels so it easily slides out of the shelf in the freezer. I found multiple items on clearance that were just too cute to pass up. I tried on a pair of Angels forever young jeans - a white pair of capri and a denim pair that is almost ankle length. The fit is 'heavenly'! It lifts up your rear and there is no gap at the waist. Also has a slimming tummy panel and that can't hurt! Did I need them? no Did I buy them? yes, and so glad I did. This is a good Tj maxx. Well stocked and clean. The cashiers at this location make it extra special. They are the friendliest ladies I've ever met. They are so happy and welcoming. This is my go-to T J Maxx location for 2 main reasons: 1. Friendly associates and 2. Most clean store! There was one guy associate who jokingly uses profanity with another associate, but I no longer see him whenever I go in. TJ Maxx has lots of variety of items from beauty products to gif table toys. During Christmas, I grab few toys and men and women giftable items because they carry great value products. Most of their associates like to greet you while working hard and hold convos. read more

Worst experience ever. I bought a dog food container on Monday, got home only to realize it had a large crack on it. Put it back in my car, come to return/exchange it on Thursday and they accuse me of lying and won't give me a refund. The larger woman lets me know that they would've never sold it to me in this condition and that they will not be refunding. She advised me they are perfect and would have noticed the crack before selling therefore accusing me of lying about it. Considering the condition the store is in, I doubt any of the employees are detail oriented enough to not make a mistake like this. It's crazy that they will not take accountability and will shift the blame to the customer! Is it my fault that I didn't check it was broken?? Maybe a little but who in their right mind goes into a store where they feel like they have to be sure the item they are purchasing is not damaged!! Had they gone about it a different way I would've understood, but right out pinning the blame on the customer who bought so many other things and is only asking to exchange because they accidentally bought a damaged item is absolutely crazy! I went into the Richardson TJ Maxx yesterday looking for some clothes items I needed for an important upcoming job interview. Before leaving, I asked an employee if they had this one last item. Though very nice, the employee quickly told me they did not carry the item. That was that. So, I approached the register to pay for the items I did find, knowing that I'd still have to stop somewhere else. Thank goodness for the cashier, Yesenia. She told me that, not only did they have the item, but she offered to show me where in the store they were. She also helped me find the size I needed. I ended up buying two. Went to this location 9/14 around 3pm with a friend just to shop and was racially profiled by the manager who decided to follow us around the store in every section and then made it extremely obvious when he approached us at the register taking clothes my friend was about to purchase off the hanger but didn't do this same gesture for everyone else in the store. There isn't anything inside of TJMAXX worth stealing and to be followed in 2024 is ridiculous. I don't even shop here was just accompanying a friend. Lots of things in this store, but not the best variety. Went to look for a coat and all they had were mostly sporty looking ones or Sherpa jackets. Wish there was better variety. Things were not well organized and it looked rather messy. I came here and scored an awesome chair and super cool shelf. It was reasonably priced which makes me happy. I miscalculated how big (rather, small) my car was and both wouldn't fit. So, I went back inside and asked if i could leave the chair and come back in 15 minutes. They said that was fine. I'm happy they did because I was contemplating returning the chair if they said no. I came back, the chair was still there, I waved to the employees, and left. TJMaxx is definitely hit or miss, I've been to another in Dallas (wasn't a fan) but this one was great. Rudest cashiers out of all the locations I've shopped In through out the years. They possess zero customer service skills and are blatantly rude. I'll shop elsewhere because this has happened numerous times throughout the years at this particular location. As a longtime local business owner, I recommend that you shop at any of the other locations. Miserably rude cashiers, especially the last cashier, closest to the exit next to cashier number 5 on Friday, 6/23/23 around 7:00 pm. She has the worst manners I've ever seen. They were gossiping about and making fun of one of their managers right in front of us. So unprofessional and zero respect. Cashier number 5 walked off for what seemed like an eternity as soon as the announcement said that cashier number 5 was ready. Didn't say she'll be right back, just walked off and returned minutes later, while proceeding to supplement her bags in slow motion. The cashier next to her ( same rude young girl, last cashier closest to the exit.) thought it was so funny and kept looking at us and laughing. Bizarre behavior. The management at this location must not care too much about decent customer service and professionalism. Zero stars for extremely unprofessional cashiers. read more

Walked in at opening on a Sunday to make a return. The girl Abby A. processed my return and let me tell you, she has zero personality and treated me like I was a burden. I tried to make casual small talk just to get any type of acknowledgment and nothing, just completely ignored me. People like her should not be working in retail. It doesn't matter what kind of day you're having or how much I'm returning, you don't treat customers like that. I do not recommend this location to anyone with any personality. read more

I'm not a big fan of most TJM stores, they are usually over crowded and unorganized. But this store (location) was very nice! The had really nice home decor, tons of make up, shoes and Knick knacks. Best TJ maxx out in dfw.. they have bunch of new items packed with customer service being one of the best. There store is super clean and they provide customers with sanitizer for all cart. It's hidden but it's nice to have a good TJmaxx where it's not always busy. read more

Ordered online it arrived broken. The return policy clearly says that I have a choice of bringing it to a store. I am always very nice to workers. But this time it has an Eastern European "manager" (at least she claimed to be one) literally with a loud voice told-yelled that I should "not come back here again with broken items!" She kept repeating the same thing over and over again. Yelling "don't come back! Don't come back here with broken items! Don't come back here again!" I stood there silently in shock been yelled at for the first time for no fault of my own. I explained to her that the box just now arrived. I literally opened the box in front of her. I took out the rattling broken item out of the box for the first time in front of her eyes and she still kept loudly talking down at me saying "I don't know if you did this! Maybe you did this to the box!" Who train these people? How do you get management position behaving so savage? The African-American worker standing next to her, just kept giving me dirty looks, even though she knew very well that I open the box in front of them, and calmly explained that I called the customer service telling them that I can hear the broken rattling inside the box. The customer service then advised me that I can bring it to a store for return. I've been shopping over 20 years, and have the rewards card. I'm about to cancel that and never coming to that location again absolutely unprofessional, ignorant staff. read more

I came to pick up a free things, as I went to the register to check out, the cashier who's name is Addy, has the nastiest customer service I've experienced in a while. I noticed the lid on the perfume I wanted to purchase was cracked soo I told her I didn't want it. Addy snatches it away and quickly gave the total as if she was annoyed. Upon completion of my transaction, i asked for her to hand me my receipt as opposed to the bag, she throws my receipt in the bag and walks away. I'm literally talking to her & she walks away. I was so excited to get back to the stores but must admit there was a little hesitation with everything going on during this Pandemic. Your associates in this location made me feel comfortable and confident with their entire safety process. Yes the experience was a bit different but definitely one where I felt safe. Each register was wiped down after each customer completed there transaction. The staff was so friendly and courteous it was just refreshing to experience a sense of normalcy during these tough times.i can't wait to go back and find more great finds. read more

Went there for a little Christmas shopping recently and was a little disappointed with the small men's boys section. I have 3 sons so this made for a small selection! There are a lot of good deals in this store if you can get past the sketchy parking lot then are not deterred by the yard-sale feeling inside. Most everything is in disarray plus there is some construction going on inside that adds to that feeling. In the same breath, I found a Samsonite suitcase for like $60. read more

Found what I came in looking for, but noticed at checkout that two annoyed women were talking with the store manager about some return policy they wanted to bend. Not sure what the context was, but he remained polite and cool throughout the whole conversation. I love TJmax because of their awesome designer brands that are cheaper but mainly for their work out clothes. At this location, there's a lot of selections. They have cool home goods and a pretty big selection on shoes as well. I always come out with something. I love their gift wrapping paper because it's only $2.99 for a lot of them too. Plus the quality is really good, it's thick and doesn't rip easily. read more

Maxx of Belt line Rd., Richardson July 20, 2018 Around 7:30 PM , Because I am traveling and I was shopping for my family and I found Two pajama outfits for kids and both of them they have a tag attached to each one of them , Also I got some shoes. To make The long story short at the cashier she charged before the first outfit then the second outfit she ripped the tag out and when I ask why ? she was saying by mistake we attach that price, then I ask for the management His name is Josh He asked the cashier what's going on and she told him that Doubt they have a wrong price attached by mistake then I ask him can you honor the stickers price He looked at me immediately and he goes no this is a mistake and we can't do sell it for that price I ask him Can you honor the price immediately he goes no Without no explanation he give me his back and Watk a way!!!!!! This is an average TJ Maxx. The selection is usually ok, depending on when you happen to shop. I live nearby and stop in frequently and they rarely have enough cashiers. Many times I have put down the item I was going to buy b/c it is simply not worth waiting in such a long line (often 7-8 people) to pay. Such a busy store really needs more cashiers.
