What is not to love about the US Foods Chef Store? I had never been here before, so I was not sure what to expect. I was in the area and I asked Gemini where the closest place to where I was that I could get an ice/food scoop. It told me US Foods Chef Store was the closest place to get one, so I made the trip! I was impressed at the selection and quality of the food items here, as I made my way to the ice/food scoops. While I was impressed at the food selection, I was not as impressed. They only had two sizes in stock, one was way bigger than I needed, and the other was too small to be useful to me, so I had to go back to Gemini to go get help finding my right size scoop! Discovered this amazing membership free warehouse otw to another errand yesterday. We just walked through and were amazed with all the epic prices and the store was super clean!!!! It was 30 minutes before closing but will definitely return to shop on another day. read more

This is my go to when I'm through a party that consist of a large group. When you enter the store the first thing you will see is the large freezer. Pre- COVID they would provide you these complimentary jackets to keep you warm while you shop for your produce and meats in the freezer. Outside of the freezer you will find all of your party needs . I like this place but make sure you have room in your freezer or deep freeze stashed on the garage. It's like a costco for food stuff in my opinion..and if you're like me, and don't live down the street, you will over buy and then get home and start manipulating things you already have to accommodate what you just purchased...I know, madness...but I have 4 kids under 7 that already eat like teenagers...lol. Spots basically buying in bulk and to me it depends on what you're buying and when you're buying it, if it's worth it. For instance, I used to hate cauliflower, the smell the look, the everything and since falling in love with Fadi's roasted cauliflower, that is the ONLY way I'll eat it. So they have a large bag, really cheap that I can use to experiment with and feel no where near I'm breaking the bank to achieve nearnest to perfection. But, like on their wings, I used Flipped and maybe it was that week or something, but Flipped showed me other wings at different stores for thr same price and I didnt have to buy 40 lbs worth. So, it is what it is and you shop with those crazy dollies buggies so of course, I'll make a run there again next month! read more

This place is like Sam's or Costco, only it's just food AND there's no membership fee. There's a gigantic walk-in fridge for all your produce and cold meats, freezers full of anything you can think of, a full-blown seasoning area. You name it, they probably have it. To top it all off, it's not very busy at all. Try even getting into and out of a regular bulk-buy store on a Saturday. It's going to be madness. This place is like a dream come true, selection and quality and price all align for a great shopping experience. I did a huge reconnaissance trip because I couldn't believe the selections and prices if you have room for the bulk items, I took pictures of almost everything to show friends and family. Meats and seafood all looked very good and frozen seafood had good dates on packages, they even have some exotics available. Not a true grocery store, but a restaurant supply store that is open to the general public. They have really good prices on most things, but not on some. You have to be careful. Also, many items have to be purchased in bulk, though not all. It's a nice alternative over shopping at a high end retail place. A hidden gem! I was amazed that we can go in here without a membership or a business and purchase supplies and food! The employees were super nice at checkout. We were nervous to go in because we didn't know what to expect but there were many foods in bulk that I haven't even found as Costco. (Like frozen battered mushrooms). They have a giant produce section as well. The entire store was very clean and spread out. Barely anyone was shopping during the middle of the day so there was no wait at checkout. Inconsistent quality of their catfish. 1st box was fine. 2nd box was so awful. It was the smallest size. Taste old and fishy. I do not know about any return policy for this company. The facility is clean and does not smell. Some items are much more expensive than other store I.e utensils. Not all of their items are a bargain. read more

Went there yesterday for the first time. I purchased a 3 pack of St. Louis Ribs with a expiration date of over a week away. Opened the vacuumed sealed pack of ribs today and my entire home smells like rotten pork. Even tried to rinse the meat hoping that would help, the smell remained. Wow! Caters to restaurant trade, but accessible to home shoppers. Most foods come in large sizes, but some are smaller. Food service items too are well priced. The cold room has jackets good to -60F (it's not that cold in there) and just that room is about as big as an Aldi store. You'll find it hard to beat their prices. read more
