After my first visit to CostCo, I learned that I have a European mindset of grocery shopping: go once a week, buy only what you need for 7 days. Although I'm an avid coupon clipper and known to stockpile non-perishables, the bulk quantities of goods available at CostCo overwhelmed me. The shopping carts were double wide and deep. Some people were even pushing around pallets of groceries! In contrast to a standard grocery store, CostCo doesn't offer seventeen different kinds of ketchup. You get one giant three-pack of Heinz. There's just not enough shelf space to store jumbo containers of seventeen kinds of ketchup. If you like the original variations of food and goods, you'll like CostCo. I really enjoyed "tasting time," in which there were free sample booths set up at the end of each aisle. The deli section was eye catching too, with shrimp plates, gourmet pasta salads, and other delectable creations. Then I reached the check out. The queue was massive, and long lines of oversized carts didn't help. At the till, I was informed CostCo only takes American Express credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Who only takes American Express? What about Visa? Isn't it "everywhere you want to be?" Well, except CostCo, I guess. CostCo is no man's land for Visa. read more

We love Costco and lucky it is close. My kids favorite part ... THE SAMPLES! Each day starting around noon you Costco offers samples of various items. Best deal in the place ... the chicken ... only $4.99. It is hot and cooked perfect every time. I pick at least one up a week. Costco has a generous return policy ... so for electronics, clothes or food, you can buy knowing it is an easy return if necessary. read more

Not to sound like an alcoholic, but I like that this Costco sells alcohol. This isn't a feature in all the Costcos around the country due to local laws and whatnot, so I always take note when I find one that does. Another thing that makes this particular Costco stand out to me is the fact that they have a really helpful guy who works part time in the jewelry department. He comes from a family of jewelers, if I recall correctly, so he gives great advice and feedback that I didn't expect out of a store like Costco. read more

Who doesn't love Costco?! Hands down, best place on earth when it comes to grocery and household shopping. They have the best satisfaction policy, anything you don't like you can bring it back (excluding major electronics, those have a different return policy). I prefer this Costco location over the Springdale one. This Costco tends to carry a more variety of items. They have a Kosher section, and they also have couscous salad and seaweed salad that I never see at the Springdale Costco. I love Costco's own brand (Kirkland). Kirkland's quality is on par with other major name brands and it's more price friendly. They should just make a Kirkland version of everything! read more

I love Costco. I love the fact that there are so many things to look at. They seem to have things you absolutely need, but didn't know it until you saw them at Costco. I love to buy my organic frozen veggies at Costco...a ginormous bag of organic broccoli for $5.99...thank you very much! They have lots of fresh produce, fresh prepared foods, big bags of organic brown rice...I like that they have a number of organic products (just not enough, especially in the produce.) They have office supplies, clothing, furniture, electronics, books, DVDs, and more. From time-to-time, they have "roadshows" special products for a limited time. One of the recent roadshow items was solar panels powering small electronics. Totally cool items and the price was discounted for Costco members. One of the best things about Costco, though, is that it's the cheapest lunch around. You can get a soda and hot dog (if you eat that kind of stuff) for $1.50. I get the pizza and a soda...not $1.50, but it's still pretty darn cheap. They've added a Caesar chicken salad to their selections, but I would prefer a salad with no meat (since I don't eat it.) They also have great frozen yogurt and the portion is so huge and very cheap. If the food that you can buy at their cafe isn't satisfying enough, there's almost always some samples going on in the food area...tons of free food samples...all kinds of foods. Costco also has a pharmacy, a photo center, and an optician. I've been buying my glasses at Costco since Costco has been in town. Excellent quality, warranty, and best of all, price! Costco also has other special services for members, so don't forget to check the kiosks on your way out of the store. I recently booked a car rental reservation using the Costco discount and believe me, it's a HUGE savings. I have an executive membership, which costs more than a basic membership, but you earn a percentage back of your purchases...I always get more back than I spend on the extra membership cost. Also, if you're not satisfied with your membership, Costco will refund it at any time. They also have a great return policy, concierge service on electronics purchases, and excellent customer service. The only thing I don't love about Costco is that I always spend too much money. read more

This Costco is great. It's fairly uncrowded (for a Costco) because I think a lot of people still have memberships with Sam's Club and I think a lot of people avoid the Hamburg area if they don't live on this end of town. But it's right off the Interstate, making it super easy to get to. Their gas is at least $.15 cheaper than anywhere else (not counting Sam's Club) but I wish they'd put a sign out on the street showing their prices. If you're going to Costco just for gas, they don't even have a sign out at the pumps. You don't know the gas price until you actually get to the pump itself. That would be my only gripe about Costco. Make the gas prices more obvious to those driving by. I think membership is worth it just for the savings on gas. Oh, and their wine/liquor store has great selections too. read more

We are big fans of Costco. We are here a lot.... a lot, either shopping or getting gas. We have been members since about 2002. We have the Executive Membership, and we get a check back every year. We do a lot of "staple" shopping here, even for two of us, it truly is cheaper.......paper towels, toilet paper, soap, dish washing soap, mouthwash, toothpaste, etc. We watch for the sales and they are usually when we are running out, so it is good timing for us. As far as food products we think their meat selection is really good, along with the Kirkland frozen chicken breasts, and Kirkland Breakfast Blend Coffee K-cups. It doesn't hurt that there are always different samplings going on to encourage you to try new things, which has inspired me to purchase items, I might not have otherwise. But really we buy soooo many different products here! We really like this store and typically have great service! I have only had one instance where the service was sub par and I followed up with Customer Service and it was addressed. I must say that there is one cashier Priscilla, who is wonderful! Stop in for lunch for a quick bite, grab a slice of yummy pizza and a drink or a hot dog and drink, under $3.00! The gas is always cheaper than anywhere else around the area too, so that is a bonus! So my advice, grab a membership and start shopping! read more

I am an employeee of Kia motors and use our deal on membership and have shopped with Costco for years but I will not be renewing my membership and unfortunately have to shop with Sam's club. When my family and I got to the self checkout line tonight, my membership has not expired yet and asked me to renew which I was not ready to do for the price it showed. Then after asking one lady to fix it and getting rude remarks and looks she comes back and argues with my fiancé about the membership and then the blonde hair lady Kelly who is standing there begins to murmur rude comments and laugh and also proceeds to become hostile towards my fiancé. Absolutely unacceptable behavior of someone there to help you with your checkout. This location is usually dirtier than the West Chester location. So if there is any chance of return to Costco it will be there where our experience has always been top notch. read more

I am such a fan of this store, I am there almost every week, if not for shopping, I get their gas, usually the best price around, I have found a couple times gas near by for equal or cheaper than Costco, with the traffic around the area, you may not what to go for gas only. I have never figured out how to leave the store for less than 100 dollars and I never go in expecting to purchase as much as I do. I agree with Kenny S, get the hotdog and soda for $1.50, such a deal. read more

Costco is great! There are so many neat things to see and try. It's especially helpful for large purchases that won't go bad... such as paper goods, trash bags, and the like. The Kirkland (house) brand tends to be very good, and products are added periodically. It's also nice that they offer samples for foods, so you can get a taste before you commit to buying a 60 serving portion or similar of it! Gas is also a good option here, as are the tasty rotisserie chickens. read more

We ordered a freezer from Costco Online on May 28, 2020.. It was delivered today, June 2, 2020. The UPS driver wore no madk, no gloves. We directed him, through the glass door to leave it in the garage. We went out shortly after to unpack the freezer, wearing gloves. The box was pristine- unfortunately the freezer was not. In removing the packaging we noticed large, very visible dents in the freezer. We decided that was fine as long as it was only cosmetic. It was not, the top of the freezer does not shut- therefore it does not function as a freezer. I went inside and immediately called Costco online and after a 3 HOUR WAIT ON HOLD, i took a pic w my cell of my home phone , i was told there are no freezers anywhere...and they'll refund us and someone will be picking up the freezer. I said they will need to call a pick up, so we're home and was told they don't do that. So essentially Costco's customer services are nonexistent. I pointed out that I knew, for a fact that there are freezers because a friend in Poway, Ca saw them in the store. I then called Corporate CS in Seattle where a DJ told me essentially sorry- i asked for a supervisor to contact us. Because we watched tracking saw our freezer was out for delivery, we ordered a substantial amount of meat to be delivered Friday. Now, i have no freezer and spent the entire afternoon on hold with Costco's so called CS. And I'm supposed to home some unknown day and time for UPS to pick up said freezer. Since some stores have freezers, I do not understand why Costco CS cannot have one shipped to us? This is ridiculous and further, 3 HOURS ON HOLD! This needs to be made right, further, since the box is absolutely pristine WHY IS THE FREEZER so damaged? Whomever boxed this up knew it was damaged. I am appalled at Costco's treatment of us and inability to even attempt to make this right. We literally waited until the freezer was on the truck and had a tracking number before we ordered all that meat. Now, we are to be inconvenienced again by a UPS driver picking up the damaged freezer they shipped. I have filed a complaint w the OHIO Attorney General office and will go to BBB next. Just like everyone else... We LOVE Costco! I have to exercise every ounce of self-restraint I have when I walk out of this place so that I don't buy the froyo... They always have an abundance and a great variety of food samples here! Today they had some veggie chips, breakfast biscuits, protein bars, blended fruit juice, and some other munchies to keep you energized while you do your shopping! I'm assuming every Costco does this but they also have a great 10% off a case of wine deal (12 bottles), and a great selection of red wines! Their whites selection is a bit less extensive... They post published wine ratings (if available) as well, which we have found to be pretty consistent with the quality of the vino. It's great to have a Costco in the area. read more

I like this location better than the Tri county location (better selection). Costco carries better quality products and food compared to the other membership store. You can return almost anything anytime (no tv or computer, but most things no time constraints). I bought a mattress and didn't like it and returned it with no problem. My friend had a recliner for 7 years that broke and they gave him his $$$ back. Yes, I know 7 years is ridiculous but if your going to buy quality products they should last and if not Costco will hold the manufacture accountable for you read more

I think Costco is a great place to shop when you are looking to buy a lot of food! I typically shop here weekly or biweekly and never walk out for less than $100. But, I feel like I get pretty good amounts of food for that price. The bottled water price is a steal! We regularly buy water, cheese sticks, fabric softener and detergent. I think the meats are reasonably priced and good quality. I have noticed a drop in the produce here though. I've found that some items after a day or two are wilted or too soft for use. I have taken tomatoes back twice because they were moldy. It can be frustrating because the location we shop at isn't 5 minutes down the road so returns can be hard. However, returning items is pretty simple and easy. One of our other favorite things here, besides the samples, is grabbing lunch on the way out. The hot dog and drink combo fills up everyone! The hot dog is huge, and there are topping options available! We also like the pizza choices as well. Recently, my girls asked for the frozen yogurt and loved it-also a great price! This Costco has been noticeably busier lately since the local Sam's Club closed so be prepared for long lines and people that forget how to drive in the parking lot. Costco discriminates against people that have a disability. I was at Costco on Saturday, November 21,2020. I have a medical condition prohibiting me from wearing a mask. The man at the front door was rude, I went and talked to the manager. He gave me a face shield. I wear glasses, so when I ran into a wall, I took them off and finished my shopping. After I checked out I was surrounded by 6 employees. 5 of which were burly men, one clenching his fist. I felt threatened and feared for my well being. They stood in front of my cart not allowing me to leave the store. I would never recommend Costco to anyone. read more

Just had to share a positive review! I purchased an LG dryer from Costco online. The delivery service deserves an A+. They called when they were leaving the Dayton area with their ETA. When the two men arrived they introduced themselves and explained what they needed to do. They removed my back door, the old dryer and brought in the new dryer all very carefully. The new dryer was installed in a very short time and they demonstrated how to run it. They were friendly, polite and very competent. read more

Customer service here is one of the worst I've seen for a Costco, reminds me of Walmart. The worst being my current visit. Seems my 300$ checkout was a inconvenience to the cashier and bagger who were in the middle of a discussion. Not greeted or acknowledged in anyway. Where to start on the reason why Costco rocks... First they have a clean store, frequent samples for tasting, coupons and great service. If you have never been to a Costco you need to check it out. As a single person it may seem extreme but I can just buy one bundle of toilet paper and be set for 1/2 the year! Seriously some of my friends have questioned but there are some great deals and ways to save. Costco has some great deals on clothing (and have additional items clothing and more available on their website with shipping included). If you are planning a party it is a great place to get cakes, desserts, food etc. As others have mentioned, Costco does have stellar return policy so there is no hesitation to try new products/items. read more

This is a review for the tire center at Costco. I ordered my tires online and received a call as promised when they arrived to the warehouse. I really liked the ease of ordering online- that I was given the final price before I ever stepped food in the warehouse, and that I could track the tires to the store. When I called to book my appointment I asked how long it would take to put on my new tires, and if they recommend waiting onsite or coming back. They said they could do it within and hour and it would be fine to wait. I arrived for my 2pm appointment and waited 15 or so minutes to be checked in. They said they would call when everything was all set. About 15 min later they called to let me know that I needed some service packs replaced and it would be $3 per tire additional, which was fine. Again, they said they would call when everything was all set... An hour and a half later, at 4pm, I called over to the tire center from the food court within the Costo warehouse to check on the progress. The man who answered the phone seemed confused and asked if my car was the mazda, to which I said no, it was a civic. He asked when I brought in the car and I said 2pm. He said "it should be done but let me check..." and put me on hold. When he came back he said it was all done. So, who knows how long my car had been done while I was just sitting in Costco waiting, and no one called me to say it was completed! I did notice when I went over to check out that my paperwork and keys were on a file cabinet behind the service desk, not on the desk with a couple other pairs of keys, so I wonder if my stuff got misplaced? Regardless, I was pretty frustrated with the lack of follow up when my car was done and annoyed at the wasted time. Very disappointing from a company that I've previously known to have great customer service. read more

I like that they send the coupon books out in the mail so that you can see what their specials are before going to the store. Their prices are great, and their homemade items are delicious (chicken noodle soup made from their roasted chickens). I love Costco. Love to go every week. My family likes to get the huge $10 pizzas, I love the selection of ready-to-go salads and meals. The meat is cut well and is nice and lean. The staff is always friendly and a lot of the people have been there for years which is always a good sign. I love their seasonal selections and have recently discovered their Nature's Domain dog food which is grain-free, high quality and only $35 for 30 lbs which is about half the cost of premium brands. And my dog's skin and overall health has improved dramatically in just a few weeks. read more

THIS Costco is TOPS in my book. We have lived on the East side of town most of our lives, so I guess I took it for granted. But when we moved to the other side of town, I missed it so much that I drive - at least once or twice a month - to come to THIS Costco even though the drive is now more than an hour. I trust any thing that they sell. We bought some blinds through them once and the installer told us that, unless they could bring their quality and prices up to the expectations of Costco, they couldn't use them as a vendor. This Costco ALL about quality. One slightly disturbing thing that I just read yesterday is that they were among the retailers who were taking advantage of truck drivers. I hope this is not true; it would lower the very high expectations I have of them. But, "innocent until proven guilty" is certainly the motto I wish to live by; may it continue! read more

The Wearhouse wholesale is easily my favorite place to shop, the yearly fee is very reasonable ($55). You will save that just by getting gas, it is usually twenty cents cheaper then everywhere else. It is just my girlfriend and I in our home (and three dogs) so we don't purchase a ton but we do spend a good amount of money and we definitely save especially on things like paper towels and toilet paper. We buy almost everything from Costco besides the meat, it is great meat and fairly priced it is just sold in such high quantity that the price is more than we are willing to pay. They have a lot of pre-made meals that are delicious, I recommend the stuffed pepper and chicken alfredo. They are all of great quality and you can beat the price ($9-$15). They only accept Visa as far as credit cards go, you can pay in cash or check. The cafe at the end of the cash registers is amazing, the pizza and pulled pork sandwich is delicious. Beware of falling in love with items not of Kirkland signature (Costco brand) they have a bad habit of randomly pulling things. Besides the food, they have a great selection of Electronics and other goodies, it is definitely a great place to check out and they will allow a day pass so you don't have to jump right into a membership. read more
