I love Redoux, as I can always find something unique to buy for myself or as a gift. Most gifts…read morethat I give come from this store. Lately I have found that the two ladies who work there are less than helpful or friendly. They act like you are bothering them. Also, Redoux always did free wrapping for you in a white bag with some tissue paper, nothing fancy. Now they charge 2.50 per gift. I totally understand that with the cost of supplies. I asked the lady with gray hair at the register if I could at least get the Redoux sticker to put on my own white gift bag and she told me it would be 2.50 for the small sticker. I explained I liked for the person to know that the store is wonderful so it might encourage them to shop there. I wasn't looking for a freebie but a way to advertise their business. Oh well, I will continue to shop there to support local, but the customer service could use some improvement.

I'd be lying if I told you I looked at any of the other things in this store but the purses, however. The smell of the leather, the way they feel, how they are just oh so pretty keeps me in the purse section of this store until I'm made to leave. Security usually gets called because I'm fondling them all weird and creepy like. Ok, not really, but I'm sure someone is looking at me on a security camera while I'm in the purse section thinking to themselves that I need a life and I need one ASAP. The merchandise here rotates so frequently that things go on clearance fairly often. That means even more of a discount for you, so if you love a bargain like I do check in often. I was then told that the item was a "final sale" and they wouldn't take it back or give a credit. The clerk told me it was written on the receipt but in fact it was not, and they hadn't marked the rack as final sale items either. Seriously awful after the money I've spent in that place over the years. I'll never go back.

It's a pharmacy where everyone knows your name :-) They have plenty of medical necessities for ourchase such as creams you find in the hospitals (calmseptine) to locally produced items such as candles and Nola apparels. I usually come here to fill a prescription that other "retail" pharmacies do not carry. Today they only had a few of my pills left in stock. They filled what they had and will call me next week to come get the rest. How nice! I really like that old town feel that we are currently missing! I hope everyone can come support their locals. I think my prescription may be a few dollars more but worth it for supporting my local pharmacy.

Then the guy behind the pharmacy counter asked me if I was picking up meds- and I said "no, thank you very much for your good customer service" and then I looked at him- a man would like to hand me medicines for my very ill husband... unmasked. Then I looked around and all 3 of the employees I saw in the store were unmasked. I understand people's desires for freedom, but I also know the burden of dealing with long term effects of viral illnesses- and I know the burden of caution for someone I love who is highly vulnerable. It isn't something I would wish on anyone- and I don't just wish- I know my actions to prevent the spread of illness matter. I'd think a pharmacy next to the hospital would do better. I've seen this at restaurants and grocery stores- but a pharmacy?? Put a sign on the outside "attention- employees at the store don't wear masks- if that's cool with you come on in. If you are visiting ting someone at the hospital with a high infection risk or have a high infection risk yourself- shop at Walgreens" I would've gone elsewhere.
