I bought a set of the magic bullet here like two days ago. From the packaging box, there should be a recipe book that comes with the set, but when I first open it I found the book is missing so I brought back Costco today with the receipt for a return. The staff Carolina is ridiculous, she said unless she see that book otherwise she cant refund me because the packaging box said it comes with the book. SERIOUSLY??? This is a review for the Costco pharmacy and specifically for one of the pharmacists named Marilyn (not sure if I spelt that correctly) that works there. She is an older woman and by far the friendliest pharmacist I have ever met! She is extremely kind, compassionate and always smiling. I'm not sure how to contact corporate Costco and leave positive feedback about her- so I figured yelp is my best bet for now. This costco is like any other costco in the NOVA area. You have the people who run to every sample station like their life depends on getting as many samples without being cut off. Next you will see the people who walk around in a dazed and confused look like they never seen a big warehouse store before and need to walk super slow in the middle of the aisles to look at everything. You will also have be aware of random kids that run around while their parents have no control over them. Outside you will have the longest gas station long. Just hope you get in the line where people move up if the first person moves and not wait until both car move. I have been in that line before :( Be forewarned that parking sucks here and once you find a spot take it & grab a cart as soon as you find one. Good luck and god speed. read more

The other thing I can't stand is that you have to walk in front of all the people exiting just to get a cart.. makes no sense.. you are basically swimming upstream trying to get inside.... Costco will always be one of my favorite places in the world with their amazing tasting food and merchandise for great prices. This Costco was very well organized and clean. The staff here as well were also noticeably friendly, which I appreciated. I'm pretty sure that it's most guaranteed that there will be the samples during the weekends, so make sure that you come during those times and not full! I never had a bad sample. The only thing that I'd change if I could is the opening of more registers for check out. I mean, they have like 10 registers but usually only use 5. I don't get why you can't just use majority of them to shorten the super long lines. Either way, my love for Costco will never end. read more

OK, I'm DONE with Costco's horrific customer service in Manassas. Uncaring front end staff and employees standing around in the isles while there are no boxes up front. Today, again, we were told that if WE went down to the end of the front end WE might find some boxes. Last time I checked I was the customer! The front end Supervisor told me that they were "too busy today to have boxes available". WHAT!? The culture in this store just screams "We DON'T CARE about you customers!". I have previously, on at least 3 occasions, complained loudly to the local store manager and Costco Corporate with poor results. Who shops at Sam's Club and how does it compare to Crapco in Manassas. One rude woman working in the self checkout lines kept me from going to the next register and kept telling me she already had others waiting, although I was first on line. This review is about Costco concierge service, this is who you are referred to when your Costco-purchased MS Surface Pro goes belly up within the 2 year warranty period. Worthless! Have contacted Costco and referred here. Called a week ago, explained the problem, ran thru all their questions and pushed all the buttons, they said someone would call within 48 hours. Didn't happen. Called back, gave them the id number, said someone would call back within 4 hours. Never did. So called back, gave them id, told them no one had called and told them we needed to talk to someone today. They said "John" is reviewing case and would call back in 2-3 days. Moral to story BUY at BEST BUY. I am beyond poed I have to go to BEST BUY for service!!!! read more

This is probably the most busy Costco I have every been too. Costco it's self is great, their Kirkland (store brand) products are good, and you can usually get lots of good deals here - it's all great. But the lay out for their check out here is hectic and doesn't provide people with a clear way to line up. Often times people are cramped against the products since the lines are so long. The parking lot is also small and a rather terrible layout leading to traffic jams and really is just an accident waiting to happen. Try to come right when they open and in the middle of the week. I avoid this place like the plague Friday and Saturday. read more

Costco is an endurance sport for the weekend warrior. Dodging carts and people, sprinting from food sampling station to station, lifting huge packages of everything from pasta to toilet paper and hoisting triple-packed jars of tomato sauce. In the spirit of the Olympics, I think it's quite an event. My gripe, if there is one, would be that you often cannot find the same thing twice. A few months ago I was introduced to these wonderful pretzel rolls. Yesterday they were nowhere to be found. Not even a clue that they were ever there. It can be frustrating. Excellent prices on certain things, especially electronics, furniture and housewares. Average prices on things like soda. Of course, everything comes in large quantities so be prepared to want six cans of beans and four jars of relish at a time. Love the food stations where you get free samples. Most of the folks at the Manassas location are pretty friendly. Some other locations I've been to, they won't even look at you. I enjoy being introduced to new products, and I try not to just nosh my way through, but rather go with the intent of possibly finding something new to take home. They have a fantastic crab dip -- look for the nice lady giving out samples of lobster dip and crab dip on a cracker. I made sure to pick up a tub of that because it was delicious! Little known secret: Costco currently has a special going for Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. $62.99 gets you a 7-day pass for both the water park and the amusement park. Costco accepts both debit cards and American Express credit cards. There is also a very convenient gas station at this location. Cheapest gas in town! read more

I do a lot of shopping here. The selection is fairly good, and they sell the large, cheap quantities of things I use a lot of. The staff is generally friendly and speedy (especially at check out). That said, I hate going here. The aisles get easily crammed, the parking lot is a death trap, and it can take forever to get in and out. All those, however, are mainly complaints about the people there, not the store itself. Just the same, considering that it is ALWAYS like that, I have to knock it down a couple stars. read more

My wife talked me into checking out COSTCO and getting a membership recently - her family lived very close to a BJ's and I guess she was missing buying cheese 4 pounds at a time. But seriously, I am glad she did. Unfortunately COSTCO does not offer one-day trial passes, and I was not quite sold on our initial walkthrough. Many of my go to items were reasonably priced, but I felt that I could get better deals when hitting a big sale at my grocery store of choice. (Harris Teeter) But happy wife = happy life, and she felt some of her must-have products were a great value so we signed up. We didn't have any time to do shopping that night, and put it off until the weekend. And as others have noted, this place is ALWAYS packed, especially on the weekend. They open at 10AM on Sundays, so imagine our surprise when we pull up at 10:05AM to a full parking lot. And yes, the parking lot is a bit of a show here. Be warned that it's insane in the membrane ... even the support agent who signed us up admitted as much. But I was happy that we found some GREAT deals here and we stocked up on a lot of necessities for a great price. Unfortunately, the only credit card they take here is AMEX - and with that partnership, they try to push an AMEX card on you when you register. They do take debit card payment, but that means you have to budget to make sure that you have enough in your account to cover it. I was working on a budget of $300-$350, and if you haven't shopped at warehouse stores, you'll be amazed at how fast you can blow through that amount. (I used to be a Sam's Club member, so this was no surprise. But I do like Costco better) Also big ups for their food concession, which offered a HUGE chicken caesar salad for $4, a perfect way to end a shopping trip while staying within our low-carb diet. My only complaint about what I bought were the steaks - while beautiful face up, one of them had a HUGE hunk of fat on the flip-side. Still, after a bit of additional trimming, it provided a tasty dinner. But that, the insane parking lot, and especially the lack of ability to use credit cards is what keeps them from being a 5-star awardee in my book. read more

After shopping here for three years now, I am glad to say that this store has been very consistent with everything, and I mean that in a good way. Stock never seems to be the problem, even when shopping with the coupon book. Their baked goods and fresh cakes/pies are of great quality. The meat and cheese department...well, anyone who likes either will have a tough time walking by without drooling or purchasing something. I get beef tenderloin here regularly. How can you beat $7 per pound in exchange for a little hands on trimming? The lines can be long during peak times, and the parking lot packed. One would be a fool to think otherwise. However, not nearly as bad as everyone says it is. Exit and enter through the side or rear, not off Sudley Manor and it's smooth sailing. There is plenty of parking and a little walk never hurt anybody. Gas is normally, not always, cheaper than the competition and nowhere, I mean nowhere, can you get a Hebrew National hot dog and soda for $1.50. Beat that! read more

I usually get a 1/4-pound hot dog and drink for $1.50 (it's Hebrew National), or a slice of pizza and drink when I go here. The broiled chicken at $4.99 can't be beat for a quick meal with the Grand Parisian Salad (mix). Other than that, there's not much that brings me here. You really need to know your prices, because not everything is a deal. I just bought a Magellan GPS unit (AAA edition) for $169.99 at Best Buy yesterday, and the same unit was $10 more at Costco. They have much less selection than other stores on single items. On food items, you have to buy big, which doesn't work for my household of two. I had a membership and dropped it. My daughter has one, and gave me and "associate" membership card on her membership, so we have privileges, but otherwise, I wouldn't bother. It's 5 miles from my residence, so it's not worth going there for gas unless I am in the area anyway and driving by. Gas prices are low, but don't beat other discounters. They only accept COSTO AMEX and debit cards. read more

I love the Costco concept of buying in bulk. I've bought everything from pots and pans for my first apartment to various large candy assortments to stock the food cart at work. The parking lot can get a little crazy during weekend peak hours, but the lines always move quickly and the value of their food court is hard to beat. read more

This review is strictly for the tire certain sales and service. I have never had such poor customer service or seen such a lazy workers in my entire life. We were told to come for 9 o'clock drop off to install new tires. It took over an hour for them just to get the keys. Let's face it. Everyone love shopping at Costco. I had decided to upgrade my membership to Executive Membership last year. My renew came up last week and forgot about it. I shop there weekly at Manassas, Chantilly and Fairfax locations most of the time. My renew came up few days ago when I was there. They told me I MUST pay my renew yearly fee in order for me to check out. I understand the policy completely. Sometime people don't have enough money to pay at the time due to personal reason or budget issue at the moment. Costco seems don't care whatsoever, they just want your renew membership fee before you can check out your grocery even if you are executive membership. They cant even show empathy and allow customer to check out for that day and come back to pay for their fee. I don't get any reminder that my renew is coming up. Costco should go above and beyond by reminding customer at the cashier check out if their renew is coming soon. I am sure Costco can see that when they scan customer card. They can see if you are regular and executive member. They only look for regular membership to ask for upgrade to Executive membership. This is such a terrible customer service. I decided to downgrade my membership to have enough money for check out. They just lost my business as executive member. That is very terrible how Costco treat their members. Costco can do better than that. read more

I have been using this Costco since it opened and it is my favorite. Their gas is high grade and the line are short and move quickly. Great service and no problem with returns. People are friendly. There is a shortage of disabled parking spaces and they do not serve coffee like the Costco stores in Washington. They do not have express lanes like the Costco stores in Florida. The store manager, Jermey E*******, is unbelievably rude and should be removed from store front responsibilities and his title. My membership expired a few weeks ago and he was unwilling to work with me to gain a guest pass on my families account (which I've done countless times at other Costco's) so I could proceed checking out with my goods. The store was extra crowded today, when I say extra I mean fire hazard extra. The store needs to be redesigned to help with congested areas of popular items. Also I feel they need to figure out how to make the two main isle less congested by shoppers trying to get in line. We ordered a couch, which was $100 more on Costco.com that in the store. The ad on Costco.com, stated that the couch would be delivered to the room of my choice. The company that delivered it said only to the threshold of the door and not to the room. That is not what this 75 yr old man bargained for. Costco has the best prices, unfortunately customer service in Manassas store is lower than 1 star. My wife has signed up for Costco well over a year as an executive member and we spend thousands of $$$$, well not anymore. I was at the store on Thursday 9/5/2019 around 1:30 checking out at the register with a few items and provided the cashier the membership card as I have done several times in the past with no issue because the card happens to be under my wife's name when she opened the account I was serving overseas. cashier denied because card is under my name (probably correct) after I explained the head cashier came in a very sad face and terrible tone made a statement Costco is like a gym everyone has to have their own card and we don't go by household, I asked for his name and he referred me to a manager Jessie or Jennifer and she was just as rude. I thought to myself if these 2 individuals at manager level don't realize we the consumers paying their salaries why should I even bother how the cashiers conduct themselves and I left. I will have my wife cancel the membership and we will go to a nice BJs in Gainesville. Love this Costco! Coming from Pentagon City Costco this Costco Parking lot is a breeze. Costco gas station is a plus which we never had back in Alexandria/Arlington Area. So far all of the staff we encountered are friendly and approachable. Store is in tip top shape. Very clean, organized, and easy to find. Lines can be long SOMETIMES but it goes by so fast. You can be in and out. The restaurant area is small though, not something to complain about but if you are more than 3 people with a cart, I'd skip eating here esp on weekends. & oh the new ACAI BOWL DO NOT GET IT. Too sweet with no flavor. This is a fail costco what the heck. read more

The CITICARD financial services offered by Costco Wholesale to its customers, is questionable. Fraud attempts are common (I had 2 replacemenets so far), and it implies a headache, notifying vendors with recurring chargers about new ccard number, while Citicard misinforms customers NOT to worry to do so, because their system does it automatically, which is WRONG. AOL just discontinued abruptly my services, and all this affects me. I have an excellent credit record and will not tolerate Citicard, AOL or any other institution to ruin it, because of their inefficiency. What difference it was dealing with American Express, but surely Costco has to keep its cost as low as possible with this kind of cheap service. Extremely disappointed! read more

I like this Costco better than Fairfax and Woodbridge. Even when it's crowded, it still runs smoothly. Many of the employees have worked there since it was Price Club and you know they love their job if they've been there that long. Really, the quality on their food items is great. Customer service is great. The bathrooms are usually really clean and their prices of course, are terrific. read more

I love COSTCO, just not this one. Let's face it, costco has the best return policy in existence. I didn't write their return policy, I just live by it. I read an article in Fortune magazine from their CEO where he states that he knows costco shareholders continuously ask him to dump the policy, but he firmly believes in it so it stays. I love returning things and getting looks from other customers. For those that feel I'm doing costco a disservice, show up early on Saturday mornings before it opens. There you'll see the wholesalers who buy costcos returns by the pallet. Anyway, this particular costco doesn't seem to want to abide by that return policy. They grill you on every return. A manager even came up and told me that most people "misunderstand" the policy and that he doesn't actually have to take anything back. I pulled out the Fortune magazine article and had him read it. He then agreed and took the return. The Chantilly costco is much better, and often has better items. Not all costcos are stocked the same. The Fairfax costco is even better. The higher the clientele, the higher the items inside. read more

The worst Costco experience I ever had to date! My girlfriend and I went this morning to purchase some groceries, mind you we had a cart full of groceries. We get up to the register and hand the cashier the card and she says who is this, we stated that it was my girlfriends dad, she says you all have to have a membership card of your own to shop and purchase here. This has never happen to us before. Okay well we didn't know because it's never happen to us before, so instead of her saying I will let you all go this time and just know for now on you are not allowed to use your fathers card, she didn't let us go at all. Not only was it poor costumer service, but a waste of time. What's the point of having people at the door checking cards. We could have fixed the situation there! Tire center has horrible customer service. First order disappeared. Wasn't notified when second order arrived. They won't pick up direct phone number. When you get transferred from main warehouse number, you're placed on hold for 28 minutes and then disconnected. They are obviously understaffed, Costco mgmt wake up and hire more people already. read more

Prices are decent but the parking at this store is terrible. Then once you get inside it can be so packed you cannot get through the isles. The lines to checkout always seem to be terrible no matter when you go. I stopped bothering trying to get gas there because the line can be so long. read more
