I'm not really sure what can be said about this COSTCO that makes it much different than all of the others. Employees are always friendly and the checkouts go quick. The parking lot is pretty brutal on the weekends but that is a factor of the people driving. Definitely need to be careful around the gas station exit, people do not seem to care about the giant arrows telling them which way to turn out of the gas station area - very annoying. read more

Not as big selection as other COSTCOs. This goes for pretty much every category. It is a little less packed than other locations, but probably because they just don't carry all the brands that our found else where. Parking is tight. Watch your six and try not to get hit by a car while walking to the store. read more

I have been shopping at Costco since it was The Price Club in Fairfax. I usually shop the one in Manassas and find it good overall. Having said that, I agree that the one in Chantilly is better. My biggest complaint with Costco Manassas is the number of employees who can't speak English. Are they even legal? With as many people looking for jobs in this economy, I would like to see Costco upgrade their hiring standards. read more

A great cheap place to stop by for a quick lunch. But it is also a seller of things in large bulk. The things you buy there come in large quantities, but is much cheaper that way. There are so many samples, that it can legit fill you up. The only bad experience I had here were the people who work here. Some of them don't respect their customers. read more

This is the easiest Costco to go in and of in the area! I can't believe I parked closed by, had choices, only one person in front of me at check out. No lines for gasoline.. wish Fairfax and Sterling was this fast! Clean, nice employees.. found items here that the other two things me they didn't have. read more

It seems a little strange to review a wholesale club, but what the hey. The one in Manassas seems smaller than the one in Chantilly or Springfield, VA. But it's got all the usual products. I often hit the pizza stand for lunch, very cheap and actually pretty darn good. Don't think they've put in self-service check-outs yet, but that might be a good thing as a lot of people don't seem to be able to manage it. I just bought a ton of meat this afternoon, steaks, chicken, pork shoulder, pork tenderloins, hamburger - all for $140. It can't be beat. read more

I went to buy printer ink for work and was unsure about the price when it rang up since the sign I saw right above it said something different, when I tried to explain at the register the woman seemed very irritated by me and after double checking it was correct (I guess the sign was pushed to the wrong location) she didn't say a single word to me and just glared at me. I felt terrible, I don't understand how a supervisor could be so rude to a customer over something so simple. I did not disrespect her in any way all I did was tell her I saw a sign with a different price, she did not have to treat me so poorly about the whole thing. Costco has great stuff! If you don't have a membership, i suggest you get one. The only thing about the one in Manassas is that it is always super busy! The best time to go shopping there is Wednesday nights, because it isn't as crowded as usual. read more

I wasn't sure if I needed new tires or not, so I went to Costco and asked to borrow a tread depth indicator. As I've never used one before, the representative (Greg) showed me how to operate the device. I went outside and measured my tire depth accordingly and came back with my findings. Greg advised me that I still had about 50% tread left on the front tires and 25% on the back. He recommended that I wait a little bit longer to change them as there was still some life left on them. To top it off, he mentioned a sale coming up next month, which would save me some money. This is top notch service and this Costco located is lucky to have Greg as an employee. My favorite store! Lots of yummy goodies in bulk. Beware of the crowds on the weekends and buying large quantities of perishables.

I only go to the Manassas store when it's convenient. I don't quite like the layout and the parking lot is always congested. Still, it's a Costco so very easy to find your way around. I prefer the Chantilly store where the layout is easier to navigate (probably because I go there more often) and the parking is better (still bad on peak days like Friday through Sunday). Like most Costco's, you can expect consistency in products with the same lackluster, figure-out-your-own-way-to-get-your-goods-to-your-car, customer service. read more

I was there yesterday and was so exited because I found a great deal for puma mens shoes from $24.99 to $9.99 so I took 4 pairs of them to give to my family in Xmas but when I went to pay they were not in disct so I ask the cashier to send someone to check the price that I was not lying so one guy went and sure enough there was a sign for $9.99.tbey call the manager and told him he left with the sign for like 5 minutes and came back asking the cashier how many I was taking and he said 4 he looked a me like he was doing me a favor and told me I can give you 1 at $9.99 but no 4!!I told him that I wasn't taking any! I understand that sometimes mistakes can be make but regulary good stores honor the signs and if not there are ways to explain to the customers.... the hole incident was uncomfortable like if it was me who was trying to rip them off. Overall Costco is my preferable store among all available in this area. I like Costco from any prospective. However they are different warehouses exists. To compare Woodbridge, Chantilly and Manassas -Manassas is failing miserably in all items in regard of customer - supplier relationship. Main Attitude is- hate customers, Returns - not welcome, Computer knowledge to do search/research/find something - almost zero. Many times I found Items that available in Chantilly - in Manassas they never heard about them. Fruits and vegetables are spoiled and local stuff is keeping low inventory outside, waiting when customers finally will buy bad leftovers and then bring new stuff. Certainly this warehouse needs urgent fix!!! read more

Five stars for the hearing aide section, which has excellent staff and good selection. Four stars for the store because parking is not great and the place is crowded. They have improved traffic flow though. Selection is good and prices low in bulk. As always, a great bakery and excellent warranty on electronics. Tire shop is fast too. read more

Five stars as the best in the wholesale club market. I have been a member of both Sams and Costco and walked through BJs and have to say that I think Costco is far superior because they have more of the items that we buy. We love a lot of the Kirkland branded items including paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, bakery items, milk, cleaning supplies, and more importantly beer and wine. The Kirkland Cabernet Sauvigion and Chardonnay are my favorites. The tres leches cake from the bakery is excellent but they do not always have it. Costco also has some of the best quality meats at great prices. Unfortunately Costco has also been affected by the nationwide increase in beef prices so their large packs of steaks are out of my range right now. Another one of our favorite things is the Costco cafe'. I have not gotten anything from there that I disliked. The fruit smoothie, ice cream sundae, and the sandwiches are all good. The best thing is already baked supreme pizza. The whole pizza is really good quality, size, and is only $10. We will continue to shop at Costco for the items that we use and finish off at Walmart what we can not get there. read more

It's Costco. Big warehouse store with a large variety of items. Good prices. However, I recently ordered two thermostats and asked and paid for Express Shipping. I didn't have any AC downstairs because my thermostat had gone bad. I noticed they had been shipped regular mail so I called and complained. They cancelled that order, refunded my fee and reordered the items with Express Shipping. Once again, they were shipped regular mail! So we went through the process again. The items were ordered again and supposed to be be sent Express. They were not. At this point, I gave up since every time I tried to get them sent Express, the arrival date got later. Once I received the items, I called to complain about the shipping department. Costco kindly refunded some of my money to make up for the hassle. So, bottom line, is Costco's prices are very good, but don't try to get anything delivered in a timely manner! read more

Parking lot is a messy and dysfunctional. Gas is street price and considerably more than the Potomac Mills store. Never know from visit to visit that the previously stocked food item is on the shelf. Very disorganized. Better to go to Potomac Mills Store. read more

My experience at this Costco was bad. I was in a rush to cook meal for my family on Sunday lunch. In order to expedite the payment, I put everything on my shopping cart without putting on the belt (I had less than 10 items). I put all my items so that the cashier (her name is Mercy), can scan quick. She takes some of the items from the cart and puts them on the belt, but then she takes my clothing on the cart, and starts messing with them, places on one spot of the cart, then take it from there and puts it in another location, then for the third time she then puts the same sweater material in another spots on the cart, and I noticed she was messing the sweater up purposely, and doing all this nasty behavior because I didn't put anything on the belt. She completely wrinkled the shirt and messed up the folding, as she switched and tumbled location 3 times already. I asked her to gently fold them, and her response was "these don't get wrinkled up due to material". Your job is to scan not tumble and crumble sweater and then say these don't get wrinkle. At least fold it back the way it was on the cart!!!!! No apology was given by her, but what a attitude she gave me. Simply, nasty attitude! read more

I go to Costco most frequently for gas; their prices are the cheapest in the Manassas area and there are virtually always lineups at the pumps. My main suggestion for improvement would be that Costco should designate a checkout lane for people who have only a few items, because it can get pretty exasperating to have only 2 or 3 items in hand and wait in line behind several people who have their carts loaded up. That being said, I buy quite a few things at Costco; hearing aid batteries ($8.49 currently for a 48-unit pack), coffee for my office, and also things like roasts (I buy one of those big 9-pound hunks of round tip, cut it up and freeze it) and racks of ribs, sometimes clothes, and occasionally DVD's (Costco at Manassas doesn't have as big a stock as it used to but it's a great place to buy Acorn DVD's - Acorn being the label that releases most British miniseries). I bought my Samsung Galaxy Tab A at Costco this past Christmas; Costco is the only place that has the 32GB version (twice as much internal storage as you can get anywhere else), at a price lower than most other places ask for the 16GB version; I might buy my next laptop there once I get in a position to afford a new one. If you want a quick snack, the $1.50 quarter-pound hot dog (Hebrew National, I understand - some Costco stores also offer Italian sausage for the same price) and soda can't be beat. read more
