This is way the heck out of my way, but the website said that this location had something that I wanted that was out of stock at my local warehouse, so I made the journey. This location is easy to find and has plenty of parking, so getting in and out was a snap. A very helpful employee found me wandering around in the tech department and asked if he could help me find anything. He knew exactly what I was looking for and took me there right away (thanks, Kyle!). Bonus, it was on sale. Easy as pie and I got my portable monitor. The best times to go to avoid crowds are Tuesday- Thursday from 10am - 2pm. Shelves are always stocked and can always find what I'm looking for. Everything is easy to reach. Costco is a place to go for organic food product. I noticed the difference after becoming a Sam's Club member too. You have a staff member who check their membership upon entry. I wish Costco had a scan and go option on their app. Depending on the time and day, their check out lane may be long. The retail cost on the product between Sam's and Costco are exact - maybe off by 2-3 pennies. On days when I go, the place seems cleaned. The staff is mostly friendly. I felt pressured once to upgrade my membership to executive because I spent over $300 within that day to date. Overall, it is a good place to go to purchase items in bulk like paper towels, toilet paper, pop, etc. As a family of 2, we don't need a lot from Costco. read more

Our go to neighborhood Coon Rapids MN- CostCo Always busy. So its nutz at CostCo on a friday afternoon-Expected we are patient. A lovely lady helped us out at the membership renewal desk. Thank you!!!! No issues avoiding collisions by people with their heads in the clouds, on their phones, or from England pushing their carts against the traffic! Hello right side left side .....So common sense is Not a gift. (If you dont understand what I just said- you Dont have the gift talk to a social worker you need it!) We are in great spirits as we found our favorite DCC coffee! Time to check out- ooh open pod for self check out. We just fit our cart in as theyre gi-normous). And some crazed sandy haired 50+ year old white lady blue eyes approaches me "GET YOUR CARD OUT NOW!!!!!" Aw excuse me hormonal witch, I looked at her and replied "Why are you yelling at me I just got here and my husband has his card in his hand...?" Her crazed look was now a woman looking at a child. (Im a cool relaxed pretty 50+ year old woman ) she then yelled "If you want me to leave I will! And this is not yelling!!!" I looked at her with a furrowed eye brow calmly but now concerned for my safety, "I will leave this entire cart for you to put away and make your CostCo career known as a crazed lunatic if you dont get out of my face, who the heck are you & why are you Still yelling at me ? I hope you dont have children or a husband...." My husband got into her face held up his card " we were looking for a handheld scanner -but I see you have it ma'am. More please lower your voice and put your eyes back into your head. Do you need medical attention?" People were watching her because she obviously was bat-crap crazy. This is NOT a good person working with anyone! CostCo your Coon Rapids location has a lot of people working there who need help or should be loading shelves not attacking paying customers. This could be a legal issue if someone wanted to push it. Here's what I didn't know about Costco Pharmacy: you don't have to be a member to the warehouse & online services! You can use Good Rx at Costco, but the membership price might* be better. I had to ask for the prescriptions that I had filled here-both were less expensive than Good Rx or my insurance (news to me!). You DO have to inform the cashier that you are a member & have them scan your card. It was well worth it to me to drive a little further & reap the substantial savings. While I was checking out, the next customer was buying dog & cat medicine for his pets! Plus, you can always stop at the snack spot on the way out & have a frozen treat! read more

The gas attendant asked my friend and I 3x if we needed help pumping our gas and then asked if we were sure. It felt like they were telling us we were stupid and had never pumped gas in our lives. Visited on a Tuesday at 5-6pm: Everything was stocked! everything was clean! I thought they had a good variety of produce (helloooo spring) and I was able to pick up my miscellaneous staple items too. I usually get overwhelmed here on weekend trips, so maybe weekdays are the way to go? Also - I noticed they have fresh sushi makki rolls now. We love costco. This one is the one closest to where I grew up, so I'm biased, but I love it there. Sometimes the cashier lines can get pretty long though, especially on weekends. I'd recommend going during the week if you can. I've never had an issue with anything from their bakery, everything is delicious. read more

I've been a Costco member for since 2011 I had worse experience in this location and to top it off it she was a supervisor according to her name tag . She was very unprofessional. Never had I ever dealt with this at Costco She started charging me for something that's not mine and gave me a attitude with I told her that's not mine . She was under the impression I was not paying attention when she told the cashier "that's annoying " . As if I'm not in front of her . When I asked her "what did you say " she ignored me . Costco is costco is costco. The thing with this one is that they cannot sell liquor at the liquor store - only beer and wine. This means no jumbo bottles of Kirkland vodka, but they do have more beer selection than some other stores. A plus I guess. I do wish they'd sell more of the "malt beverage" stuff though. If you can avoid going on a weekend, do it. Its always SO BUSY. Most Costcos probably are, I would guess. Though, you miss out on samples that way! I also HATE the way Costco has designed their entrance/parking lots. So maddening trying to cross or drive through that corner entrance. Ugh. As always, you enter this iconic capitalist store planning to purchase what's only on your list. Today it was Kirkland diapers and Cameron's organic velvet moon coffee. However, I have yet to master not spending at least $100 during each trip. So here's what I bought today (notice the first two items are "the list" items and how everything else came to be) * Size 2 Kirkland diapers for $29 because you get the same number as the Huggies size 2 diapers but Huggies cost $8 more. (Awesome buy) * Cameron's organic velvet moon coffee is delicious! * English cucumbers because my son loves them * Baby portobellos because how can you not * Copper River Sockeye Salmon because it's seasonal and my sons godfather is coming over to help assemble the swing set so this would be great * The Ultimate Grill Brush, because I've been eyeing this wooden device for the last 4 trips I've made to this store so now I'm buying it * Probiotic gummies because I've been wanting to give them a try Checkout = $129... Son,"momma, PIZZA!!!" Me,"ok because it's only $1.79 or whatever it is" Leaving... I better get some beer because I'm already here. The Costco stores my wife and I have used prior to moving to MN have been our go to stores. The Puyallup WA location has always been customer-oriented, and the employees appear happy. It has been an adjustment moving to MN. The Coon Rapids store appears to have good products and produce overall. The store setup is not desirable traffic wise. You have to pull your cart from the exit side of the store crossing paths with those leaving the store to get to the entrance. Making this simple for the customer might pay off for this store. The self-checkout in the WA stores have always been a preference. The Coon Rapids store seems to be slower with response times and doesn't have a handheld device to scan larger bulk items like water requiring assistance. Tonight, on a slower Halloween night about an hour before close, I witnessed one associate assist someone and then head for the small counter/desk behind the check-out to talk shop with another associate. I did ask if someone could assist maybe too loud, directing my voice towards the two holding up the desk and fortunately a nice young lady came from another self-checkout where she had been assisting someone else. I didn't think it took two people to supervise one person as these two never acknowledged me. I did hear one of the two say to the other "is this night almost over?" as I left the checkout. I guess it's best to use the regular checkout lanes at this store. This isn't the first-time buying bulk items this store hasn't responded efficiently at the self-check-out. I do like Costco but have reduced my visits to this store. I would love to see a Costco opened in Blaine MN for the approximate 70,000 population that has a lot of spending power. read more

I love Costco. Their deli selection left me in awe. They have an entire pre-thanksgiving meal that you can buy if you are not big on cooking from scratch like me. They carry really good, high quality brands. Sometimes I think I go crazy when I am at Costco, literally I am like a kid at the candy aisle, tempted to get everything I see. I never want to go there with a hungry stomach. I always stock up on their Kirkland toothpaste, toilet paper and paper towels. Their rotisserie chicken is the best priced in town, big and juicy. Their fruits are great too. I got persimmons that were big and sweet and very fairly priced compared to Walmart. Costco keep up the good work! read more

Costco is only good at one thing: selling what you see sitting on their shelves. They suck at everything else. Forget special orders, forget installations, forget ever calling them on the phone for anything (corporate OR local), forget any eye exams, and forget any customer service. They suck, suck suck! Costco is how our family survives. It's the only place we get birthday cakes (that aren't homemade). People complain about the membership costs but we make it back every year in the savings on milk alone. Great food choices, excellent selection of products, and generous return policy. We shop this location periodically & other than the fact that parking can be kind of a nightmare, we've always had pleasant experiences there. Last week we went there to purchase a 55" TV and do a little Christmas shopping. I was showing my husband the TV I had picked out when a sales associate approached & showed us another TV of the same brand and almost identical specs. However, it was $200 less than what we'd selected. He told us to continue shopping & our TV would be waiting for us up front. When we finished our shopping the TV was there as promised & two friendly female cashiers helped us with with our purchases. As we were leaving the store another gentleman insisted on helping push our carts and load the TV. Every employee that we encountered that day was extremely friendly & helpful despite the fact that the store was extremely busy. We are members of both Costco & Sam's Club & find the prices are relatively similar, but the service is ALWAYS better at Costco and on this particular day I was the benefactor of some of the best customer service I've experienced anywhere! read more

I will never possess a membership at this Costco or any Costco store after the treatment I received tonite. Bought a rather expensive car battery with a 100 month warranty a year ago. But they wouldnt honor their own warranty unless you have a current membership. All they did was push me to buy a membership which I would never do after today's fiasco. This is a great place!! I'm not huge on the membership fee but with gas prices that are lower than everyone else you make up for it in no time. Very clean store, the staff is super helpful and the lights are bright! They have samples of just about everything. This place isn't for everyone as you need to buy in bulk. What I like: - Quality products - certain foods are cheaper in bulk - multiple cashiers for quicker shopping trips - their take out, pizza to order - clean stores, well lit, spacious parking - discount gas - unlike Sam's Club, I usually enjoy looking around a bit and am not trying to get out as fast as possible What I don't: - Being hustled by outside vendors for shit like Direct TV and supplements like Co Q 10 - prices- including bulk items- aren't always cheaper than smaller, closer, and more numerous stores like Aldi - when I make a special trip just to find products have been discontinued (Boca Burgers, bulgur wheat), prices have been jacked up (quinoa), or have been replaced with an inferior product (bean burgers) - Sam's often has better prices on same and similar products (chicken breasts, for example, are a full dollar a pound cheaper- $1.99 vs $2.99) read more

I really like Costco and I would give it 5 stars but they need to STOP THE HIGH PRESSURE SALES trying to sell exective membership while your customers are trying to pay for their merchandise!!! It is so OBNOXIOUS and it seem like the cashiers are being paid bonuses for signing up people because if you say no, you get ALL KINDS OF ATTITUDE from them. It happens a lot and its really bad right now, the 1st of the year. If there were a reason to noT be a member it would be this one thing. Coffee Grinder is down and there was no sign posted by the whole been coffee to alert customers. Had to return the coffee at the service desk and all they could say was yeah it's down and it costs 6k to fix..... I would definitely recommend buying a membership it more than pays for itself! Only complaint is that they turn a lot of the lights off, at about 10 minutes before they close. At least they always had! I had concerns about someone getting injured while shopping! Love the Costco in Coon Rapids. They always have what I am looking for. Everything is easy to locate. Friendly staff ready to help. Four starts is for the sometimes bad fruit that happens, they are always willing to return if it is. Which is awesome if we get a bad batch. The parking is difficult. It has more to do with the shopping center more then Costco. Only down real complaint is the city won't let them sell booze. read more

I was THRILLED when Costco came to my neighborhood. I have shopped there for about 10 years and the employees have always been wonderful. I have had to return a few items and they have made it extremely painless. Every product that has the brand of Kirkland is above standards in quality. There are those that complain about bulk buying, but I have been single until recently and have always been able to use what I purchase. Toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, clothing, and items you can freeze don't go bad. I save tons of money vs shopping other grocery stores. I am able to purchase my favorite wines at much lower prices than the discount liquor stores. I have only wonderful things to say about Costco! Love Costco! read more
