This is a new Costco in the area. So glad they built one closer to our house in FL. The store is always clean. The selection is always good, but I wish they had more of the brands I like (creamer, yogurt, etc.). We definitely go there for specific items. The wine selection in store is good. The liquor store next door also has a good selection of spirits. Gas is the plus! Always so much cheaper than other gas stations in the area. read more

Brand-spanking new Costco in the North Port area, it's not too far from my parents new place and has everything I love about Costco. Supremely clean, large, and filled with new items, everyone is loving this (including myself). We took a trip here mid August to buy a few bulk things. Found some great deals on certain wine and golf balls. Also a lot of West Florida specifics for food/beverages in the frozen food section and produce/protein areas. It's definitely more expansive the other location in South Sarasota which is further and more of a hassle to get to for my parents. You know what you're getting at a Costco such as the food court, free samples, the warehouse deals for exclusive appliances/electronics, eye/optometry center, tire center, liquor sales, and travel offerings. And how can I forget the cheap gas! Welcome to North Port, Costco! The citizens are lucky and excited to have you! read more

customer service at the customer. Service counter remains remarkable. Big issues! !! Organic frozen chicken breast no longer available. Organic grass fed. Ground beef no longer available. The ground beef I bought in its place is like shoe leather. I'll be returning it tomorrow along with the organic brussels sprouts of which half or full of worms and unusable. Costco is following in the path of reduced quality of products in America. It's sad to see. read more

Nice, large, clean and well appointed new store to open in North Port, just south of Venice. Its opening was highly anticipated for months and this store delivers. It had become a major attraction for the area and its opening pulled people from all over the state and beyond. In the days leading up and in the early days they had membership counters outside to accommodate people signing up for memberships. I was impressed by the amount and variety of products offered at this location, it seems to have more than the location in South Sarasota. Overall a pleasant shopping experience with adequate parking. I will return. read more

Delicious new foods introduced this week. They had a sample of Kirkland smoked ribs. It was delicious and we had to buy a rack. Just throw in the oven to heat, put your favorite sauce on it and Wha-La - you got a quick and taste track of ribs!!! read more

This newly opened Costco is everything. We came here in the grand opening and not only was the membership like out the door, inside you can barely get your cart moving, lines were long, samples were flowing and so were the smiles of the workers and the patience they had. Everything in this Costco is so well organized (like the grand majority of them) but what sets this one apart is truly the staff and kindness they all have. Food shopping can be stressful but these guys make it a breeze and a pleasure to shop here. Opening day had so many awesome samples and I'm sure it won't be the last occasion with all of the great Kirkland and Costco items. New little gem for North Port and so many great deals! read more

They seem to be locked in conbat with the local Sam's to provide the least Rotisserie Chickens that they can. After all, they lose money on every one. We got in line and sunk 30 minutes into it. At $20 per hour, that chicken cost us $14.99. Also, we were "accosted" (yes, that's the right word) by four employees after they noted that the computer tipped them that we don't have a "Suoer Duper" membership and apparently didn't want to take NO for an abswer. Just went to the new Costco that opened and it's a nice facility. It's a zoo currently as could be imagined but they have a large warehouse and a pretty decent self checkout system at the food court. Service is a bit slow but it's due to the large crowds. read more

ordered online from this stores inventory, great price, horrible delivery service, would not bring to back yard which we paid extra for, had to decline order. A rep from their resolution department was supposed to get back to me that was 6 days ago had to rent table and chairs for the 4th of July party. Even if they took money off, I would never buy online with them again, they should really look into this delivery service they use rude and lazy, and I guess Costco does not care about getting back to handling a complaint read more

I bought a washing machine and was delivered this week, cost was $949.99. They could not hook it up due to a faulty water shut off valve. So I called a plumber and got that fixed, and he also helped me to connect the hoses and drain tube. Delivery was June 20, 2025, and the plumber came on June 23, 2025. After the plumber left I called Costco to set up a day for the old washer to be picked up, and to also check to make sure that the new washer was connected up ok. Both of these benefits if you want to call them that, are included in the price and are are written on the web page of the product I purchased. The person on the phone told me that because I attached the hoses and plugged it in that there responsibility for checking on the accuracy was now no longer there responsibility and would not do it. Well needless to say I was blown away with that replay. I will no longer buy any appliances, or high ticket items from Costco, and you can count me at my word. This to me was ridiculous and avoiding there commitment to the contract. read more

Brand spanking new warehouse that just opened 2 weeks ago. I'm so happy because I don't have to drive to Sarasota's Costco anymore. Big gas station with 30 fuel pumps, cheap gas too. In and out was fast and easy. Like any others Costco, facility is well organized and clean. Larger aisles so you don't have to worry about bumping your cart to other club members. Lol. Bakery department is missing one of my favorite item such as cinnamon rolls with SUGAR, not icing, croissants were not fully proofing when baking. I understand this warehouse is just open so there is a lot to adjusting and I'm looking forward to it. Hot dog and drink still have same price of $1.50, BIG rôtisserie chicken $4.99. What's not to love? Overall, I'm very happy and welcome Costco to North Port. Just looking at the line people are waiting to sign up to become a member I know Costco must do something right.
