She might not have been having a good day so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. Plus who wants to see everyone coming in, enjoying a beautiful day at the beach, while you are stuck inside. It is however, the place to go to get any gourmet food or snack you could think of: Cheese, salmon, dips, spreads, crackers, etc. At first glance, the store looks a bit small. There is also a large back room with clothing, knick knacks, souvenirs, and even more food. The owners were lovely. They helped my son who ran back and forth several tunes for snacks. Most of all we will be indebted to the owner for recommending what has become our favorite brand of pretzels, Dots. Now we buy Dots Pretzels by the pound online. So if you are looking for a little treat or souvenir when staying in Matlacha, make sure to stop at the Specialty Market.

This is quite the well stocked Circle K with the usual snacks and drinks plus gas pumps outside with Shell products. The restroom was mostly clean and accessible. The gals behind the counter were wearing their masks, mostly. The store has a large "beer cave" with more than enough of whatever it is that you're drinking while you enjoy the island.
