I usually love Costco but not today. 3 of the 5 things I was looking for could not find due to not having them. I had to get paper plates and they were in three different spots. One brand was in one spot. Another brand was in another spot and the commercial wasn't another spot. Good grief, and why weren't the paper placed by the paper products today they have moved those around. ​I had an amazing visit and walked away with some great artwork. While my artist was Jason, I was totally impressed walking around and seeing the level of talent in the shop. I seriously could have just sat there and admired the art all day. ​As I've mentioned before, Jason is worth every penny for his work. We've been expanding on an existing piece, and I love how if he's into the concept, he'll really take the idea and run with it. The attached photos are from this recent session and perfectly capture what I mean. You can see the colorful background elements I already had (like the green tree and biomechanical spine), and Jason is expertly integrating new, complex elements right next to them. ​I really appreciate his honesty throughout the process. He will tell you straight up what is going to look good and what is going to "look like 20 pounds of shit in a 2-pound bag." ​Even though this was definitely not my first tattoo, Jason and the entire staff actually educated me on parts of the tattooing process that I didn't even know. The shop is also immaculately clean, and it's obvious all the artists take a lot of pride in keeping it that way. ​Note: Please keep in mind that the photos show an unfinished tattoo. Went to Costco yesterday to return a bag of seeds for the grass that had a minor hole in it. The bag was around 70$ . I waited in line a few minutes. Let's be real. The parking lot is horrible. Small, cramped, busy, accidents happen in this parking lot all the time. But, once I get in the store I appreciate Costco. I appreciate buying certain things at good prices and in bulk. I hate the games they play often with completely moving things around. Then you have to go find and on the way find other things you "need". It's a waste of time and frustrating. I also appreciate them having pet prescriptions and I was able to fill a 6 month NextGuard Plus prescription for 30$ less than the vet would be. I also easily got my flu and covid shot while there the other day. read more

I never thought I'd be writing a bad review for Costco, but here we are. We stopped in to stock up and grab our favorite chicken bakes -- which somehow came out completely burned (I honestly didn't even know it was possible to ruin a chicken bake). On top of that, the staff was extremely rude, made no effort to organize the line, and were literally tossing food at people without a word. The whole area was chaotic -- people were cutting in line however they pleased, and I watched one woman stand around for 10 minutes just trying to get the cup she had already paid for. When customers can't behave, it's the staff's job to manage the situation properly -- not to treat people like animals and throw food at them. Costco usually means quality, but this branch was a total disappointment. Never coming back here, and I definitely don't recommend it. read more

This is a very popular Costco. The parking lot is usually full but the crowd does move in and out quickly. The sale items are placed near the front and along the ends of the main aisles. There are always plenty of checkers as well as Self checkout lanes available. The staff is friendly and helpful. read more

I love that they offer exclusive member shopping from 9-10. I had an issue with purchasing dishwasher pods that were marked for 11.99 but when I was checking out they came up as 24.99. Huge price difference and the return line was long but the lady at the front door was so kind and helpful. She had me take a picture of the wrong pricing and adjusted the price quickly. It's been a while since we shopped at Costco and now, I know why-- the place is a mad house, especially on the weekends; there's wall to wall people, you can barely walk through.We had a rebate coupon to use and only had to grab a couple of things; so, we had to line up at a cashier. Fortunately, the line was movie swiftly (I can't say the same for the clueless customers who kept blocking other customers' way). However, one worker named Tom was sooo helpful and just super well spoken and overall a great reason why i prefer costco shopping than buttfuck walmart. The good news is that I go to Carson City/South Lake Tahoe often now. Quality/Quantity - Consistent. As an overly loyal customer, I find it soothing to walk your aisles discovering new items and finding joy in finding and buying your sale items, especially beer. Atmosphere - Consistent. This location has both "regular" and business Costco merchandise. Service - Best return policies!! Also, I am a self-service person, so I use your self-service checkouts when it is available. Well I keep forgetting that your "free" delivery prices are way higher rather than picking the product up from your warehouse. But it makes sense. Most recently I hurriedly bought another safe as it was the last day of a sale of $100 off. But today, I noticed the instore price (NOT on sale price) was $50 cheaper. The good news is that it was easy to cancel the delivery safe, and I will drive to Carson City (get my gas) and pick up the other safe for less $$. I am in Costco weekly anyways. Price - Good value, even the gas prices compared to local competitors. Well, not better than your Carson City location. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 1988. I will probably add photos at a later date. Though this parking lot can be hectic, I still find it easier to deal with than the Sparks location. But this location is more crowded. It seems to have more items though, especially in prepared foods. Honestly, I have shopped numerous days, at numerous times, and there doesn't seem to be much difference. We spent just Shy of 8k on A washer Dryer sit, queen mattress set, kind mattress set and a 5 piece patio set as a huge house warming gift for out 81 year old father who just bought a house in Sparks, Nevada. The process while long was made easier with Jen's product experience and her excellent demeanor. We left ecstatic that we had been able to order so much in a one stop shopping experience. Fast Forward 24 hours and we notice the bed frames are meant to come in early the next week before we will be back in Reno. So we call the 800 Costco.Com number for deliveries that Jen gave us. We were shocked to discover the ENTIRE order was on hold and set to be canceled. Yes 8 grand worth of new stuff for dad. I spent 1 hour 15 min on the phone with Costco.Com who informed me that auto correct had changed a few letters in one part on the form and they were rejecting it all. After 2 managers they were adamant that NO CHANGES can be made to the order info. I got Eric from the store we bought from on phone at same time with my dads phone. Because it looked pretty bad. Eric a store manage at Costco in Reno tried his best BUT Costco.COM sucks for customer service and the ability to change anything on an order. Eric was leaving at 5pm but SET up John and Gail who are two other store managers to meet my husband and I at the front of Store as it was now clear everything would need to be reordered. UGH. We arrived and Eric was at Door letting staff know we were coming in. WHAT a great human as are the others mentioned in this review. BAD news as the managers and Jen started to RE ORDER the entire order we were hit with problem after problem. The managers never gave up. For example the pedestal stands for the washer and dryer were not available because well they've canceled my order but they have not returned them to stock. So we have no drawers for the washer and dryer at this time but will source them independently. The mattresses were also not available for delivery the next week at all and that is when dad moves in. It was one issue after another. ALL I can say is JOHN made it right. He and his team went above and beyond using a personal vehicle this week to make sure my 81 dad had a bed to sleep on. Tomorrow the washer and drier as well as patio furniture arrives and the beds came in today thanks to the Herculean effort by the management team of the Costco in Reno Sadly I have nothing but contempt to Costco.Com I do not recommend ordering stuff through the service as if there are any mistakes made and even if not the fault of client spending $8,000 they are unwilling to change anything on your order to help the consumer. It defies logic and my god at the bureaucracy inside of costco.com. Even the mangers manger was frustrated that her hands were tied. If it had not been for John, George and Eric our 8grand would have been spend elsewhere. Even though my dad will be living in Sparks we will continue to come back to this Costco in Reno as the Humans are extraordinary humans who give about the people in their community God Bless them read more

My adult child received a gift from someone at work and they also gave him the receipt from Costco where they had purchased it. My adult child has a membership at Costco and went in the customer service line which was quite long and tried to use the receipt to return the item and get store credit . the Costco staff wanted to know the card membership number of the person who purchased the item. Of course he did not have it and they would not take the item back.. What kind of poor customer service that is where a receipt does not work to make a return??? read more

Once again, I am disappointed in this store. I gave up my membership last year due to their lack of customer service and decline in product. This year, my friends bought me a gift card for a bottle of wine. I treated myself to a bottle over the card balance; however, gift cards don't apply to alcohol which is their policy and understandable. What wasn't expected was the berating and uncomfortable situation where the clerk grab the bottle and the Supervisor read me the riot act on what I could and could not purchase. Each and every visit is to a clean, well maintained, and courteous location. Every single online order I've ever made with Costco has arrived on time or before the time commitment. Last week I had to buy a range at last minute because a local Reno appliance store wasn't up to the task two weeks after I ordered the appliance from them. Costco came through and saved Thanksgiving. What really got me was that I saved almost $800 over the local appliance company. I also applaud Costco's suit against the illegal tariffs imposed by the executive branch. read more

This review is for the food court. The tables were disgusting. It seems nobody ever cleans them. The plastic utensil machine was empty of knives. Good luck trying to get someone to fill them unless you want to stand in line for a while. The pizza was not what it used to be. Smaller and thinner with not as many toppings as usual. This Costco is massive. Probably the biggest one I have been to because they serve so many individual and business needs. The staff have always been helpful. Like all Costcos, the selection varies and popular items may come and go quickly. They have seasonal items very early, well before the intended season, and they will sell out and be gone for good. This Reno location is very Busy! Even on weekdays. However they have enough staff to make checkout go very smooth. Good food. Good prices. The snack bar has all your favorites including big hotdogs (ask for onions). Pizza, chicken bakes and soft serve. Don't forget the churros.
