Still a fan of Sam's Club. In the retail & wholesale customer space. In fairness I can only contrast the things I like better than the other store that does the same thing in town. Here the experience starts in the parking lot with full size spaces that can fit any size cars, and in a town where it seems 50 percent of the drivers have full sized trucks or large SUV's that makes a huge difference. The entrance way is similar but with less of a TSA feel than the other club store. The merchandise mix and rotations are similar. There are less big "promo" brands here at Sam's Club. They don't seem to attract the "Chipotle Chicken, Hexclad, or Junk Removal partnerships". The house brand is a bit hit and miss in some categories but still offer a good alternative. By the time you get up to check out and don't want to wait in line for 20- or 30-minutes Sam's Club has a quicker check out ALWAYS. The food courts are neck in neck in price and (value?). The scanner that checks your cart and only flags about one in ten customers for receipt review is also way easier. The exit onto surface streets and eventually to the freeway is a bit easier at Sam's as well since you don't have to compete with gas lines, school zones, and dealership test drives. read more

Cola icee! I can't remember the last time I had one of these. It was easily twenty to forty years ago. The product now is much different from what I had way back when. The consistency is much more mixed in the ice now, I could remember how much ice slush was left after sucking the liquid in the bottom. The product now is much improved. The ice was a lot less larger grains that what was served way back the years. Great stuff. read more

Never had issues with Mobil pick up until today. My order was micromanaged by the delivery person. She said her manager said if the name on the order doesn't match the person. Ok I get that. But when your name is on the account as a user and you have all the account info as well as the order info. Shouldn't that be an indicator it's your order? So at 60 yrs old I got denied a pack of beer by a 20 something. Makes sense I guess I'm not capable of shopping for food and beer at my age. Total fail Sam's Club. read more

If you get the credit card extra points on purchases and if you shop here a lot that is probably worth it. Team members always helpful from customer service to location of products. If I could give zero stars--or no stars at all--I would. This store put an item on the shelf with a sale price, and yet when I got to the register, they couldn't process it. The cashier told me it might be a "liquidation issue" which I don't buy for a second. The manager I spoke to on the same day 4/6/2025 at around 5 PM gave me the "recall" as an excuse. If it's a recall, why is it on the floor with a markdown? So which is it? Either way, don't advertise and display something you won't let customers purchase. That's misleading and frustrating. This is the second time I've experienced this here. The first time, the excuse was that the item was no longer for sale. If you can't sell it, don't display it. Not even sure what the third time's reason will be. I might not be coming back to this store for a while after this kind of bad experience. read more

Sam's Club quality of service has taken a serious nose-dive. The two items (pet bed & pre-mixed margaritas) we were shopping for were not priced. We checked for the price on their website & the Sam's Club app. Both said, "see the Club for current pricing".. We ended up having to take both items to the check out supervisor just to find the cost. Her comment was, "those are 2 of our best sellers. What you've experienced is not right".. NO KIDDING !!! First time using curbside pick up and my experience wasn't great. My curbside attendant was rude and unprofessional. Not only was I not greeted, she tossed my items in the back and slammed my door on the way out. Didn't even realize my order was complete until she was half way gone, I had look out of the window. I don't know what kind of service this is but clearly they are not hiring people with communication skills. Not sure if I want to use this service again. read more

OK, I love the other bigger store but I also like Sam's Club too. I couldn't find as many gluten-free things as I wanted, but maybe I'm not used to buying them so I don't know what I'm looking for. I have been looking for a friend. But I love love, love the shop and go feature on the app and I now love the Check out where it scams your cart and what's in your cart or your receipt or whatever it is at the scan when you walk through before you get out the door. That is an awesome feature now if some of the other stores could do that that would be nice, but that will bring me back to Sam's Club over and over again. Also to mention that you at Sam's Club, use the machine to push the carts, so I was not a strain on your employees. I bet that really keeps down on the injuries. So yes, I have those memberships but convenience definitely Sam's Club that's traffic which I love convenience of getting in and out the store at an earlier time for business members 7:30 AM. Well I have time to write this while in line to pay. Prices are good and of course lots of stuff. For cash buyers it kinda sucks that they insist on having only one line open. To be honest the crappy part is. While you are waiting for the one check line to see 5 ladies just standing next to the very long line all just joking around and BSing with each other. I have been in line for close to 10 mins and these ladies have not moved, have not helped a guest have not even acknowledged that they have guests in the building. And when someone does talk to them they looked genuinely upset that they have to degrade them selves to talk to them. Smug attitudes all the way around. You can tell that they are supervisors and low level managers hanging out with there choosing friends. read more

It's a pretty standard Sam's Club, but the T-Mobile kiosk inside has the friendliest associates I have worked with so far! I believe Nate is who helped me, but everyone who was there was super friendly, personable, and worked with me until we solved a pretty niche issue. I didn't realize this T-Mobile was inside of a Sam's Club when I searched for one on Maps, but I'm glad I decided to go in anyway instead of looking for a smaller store, because it was hands down the most pleasant experience I have had with any mobile carrier. read more

My family and I visited store #4768 on 12/19/25, about 6pm. We had a flat cart, and walked through entrance. We were looking at items to the left of entrance. We got to the section before the registers. There was bakery items, and there were two ladies in front of us also looking at same items. We were finished looking and one of the ladies mumbles, "go around us". It was in a snarky tone when she said it. So I got upset and repeatedly asked her if she had a problem with me, to say it to my face. She stayed quiet, she obviously had something to say before so I was upset. I went off on her and let her know, to not speak to me like that. I admit, I went a little over board, but I won't let anyone talk to me like that, especially since we are in a store where there are people with carts everywhere. The lady then proceeded to go to an employee. We walked away to continue our shopping. We were in the back of the store grabbing water bottle, we saw an employee with a radio. Obviously she was following us so I approached her and told her , "I don't like being followed, how can I help you". She proceeded to say "I'm not following you, but I was told that you had an issue with another member". After a long drawn out discussion with Liz she mentioned she was a team lead. She accused me of being a "problem customer". She got word from another employee and told me directly, "that they have always had issues with me and my wife at this store". Also she claims that the member I had an issue with, claims I hit her with the cart. Another lie, because there would have been police involved. I got belligerent, because I have never had issues at this Sam's Club nor any. I let her know that I don't even live in Reno. I live in Battle Mountain, NV. We come to Sam's once a month if even that. She then continued to stand on her fake allegation of us being "problem customers". I asked her for proof, of this allegation. Could she provide me with any formal complaints, pictures of me, video or even my name since I've apparently been a "problem customer". She stood on saying that she doesn't have anything, it was only verbal. That means there has never been any complaints about me and she is just lying about her accusation or she is confusing me with some other members. She then proceeds to say she needs my member id. I told her I would not give her that, then threatens to kick me out of the store. I ask for a store manager, as she is not being helpful. She was enjoying the arguing though, and has no deescalation skills. She was smiling and laughing the entire time. She takes us to the front, to meet with assistant store manager. I believe her name was Joann. As I was speaking to Joann, Liz was standing behind Joann interrupting our conversation, smiling and grinning. Joann then proceeds to send Liz away in order to assist me. A few minutes later, Liz comes back. This is after she was told to leave. Joann then proceeds to tell her to leave again. As I was talking to Joann, my wife looks over to Liz. Liz is then pointing at us, and talking to another employee. Obviously gossiping about the situation. Joann and I finally have a good conversation, I admit I was frustrated but she deescalated the situation. I understood her point of view and I even told her I would apologize to that member if she was there. My problem now was with Liz. 1. She lied about me hitting the customer with the cart. 2. She accused me of being a "problem customer" with no evidence. 3. She threatened to "86" if I don't give her my id. 4. She mocked me and kept instigating even after Joann (ASM) told her to leave as she was handling it. Joann let us to continue our shopping. After we left the store, we walked out to our car. Liz was in front of us as we left the front doors. She proceeded to walk back and forth between the front door and sitting area on the right side of building. She was staring at us as I was loading our vehicle. My wife even pointed out, "feels like she is waiting for a reaction". We felt uncomfortable as if she wanted me to tell her something to continue her plot of getting us kicked out. Liz handled this very poorly and has tainted our image in that store. As we were shopping, I would catch employees looking at us. I told my wife, that Liz has now made us out to look like bad people. Joann admitted that she has never even seen us and never had complaints about us. Liz has now labeled us that, and we are considering canceling our membership due to Liz's poor customer service. Joann assured me that she was going to handle Liz . I don't know if that's going to happen, it I wrote this review to make aware of this situation and ensure that Liz never lies about members again. I will escalate this any way I can. Thank you Joann for your professionalism. I hope we can continue to shop there. Also, my wife is 9 months pregnant, she wasn't feeling well after this altercation. Liz needs to be more mindful because she could hurt somebody. read more

We bought six new phones here about six months ago. 4 were Iphones. The lady who helped us was Marianne. I am not sure of the spelling of her name. This small Kiosk is just inside Sam's Club towards the front of the store with TVs, Computers, and technology. Marianne stopped us and asked who our carrier was and if we were looking for new phones. We indeed were looking for new phones. She informed us of this smoking deal and we just couldn't pass it up. Marianne was cordial, polite, kind, funny, professional, and knowledgeable. I won't lie it did take a lot of time to pick out six phones. Her manager was there too and I can't remember his name. But he too was friendly and knowledgeable. He was from Sacramento if I remember right and just visiting. We are more than happy with our phones and appreciate being able to save money on our bills. Any time I can upgrade and still save money is a win. The Kiosk is an independent contractor inside the Sam's Club warehouse. I noticed customers being rude to the AT&T employees who are simply asking what carrier you have, whether or not you are happy with their service, or if you are looking to upgrade your cell phone. Please note that this is their job. Oftentimes like today, I watched adults be obnoxiously rude. IF you are not interested you can simply say, "Not interested." There is no need to be rude. I for one am very happy with my phone and so are all my family members. I am also thrilled to be saving more money with an additional phone. From 5 to 6 phones. Thanks, Marianne for being so kind. We got a soda at the food court while we did some figuring on some merchandise. When we were ready to leave, I went to get some lids for our sodas. They said they don't have lids for the sodas. I have only been to Sam's Club here once before years ago and I hardly remember it. I decided to get a membership today as they were half off and I have heard good things about the store. The staff I talked with were pleasant and helpful as I got set up. The store is laid out much like Costco and some of the prices were pretty comparable. It was clean and easy to move around in. Also, not busy at all which made for a nice experience to browse. They do have a nice selection of items at good prices - the meat seemed to be better priced, so I'm looking forward to that for my future shopping. read more

I enjoy ordering online. It's usually fast easy and quite efficient but today was the exception. When I arrived at Sam's, there were two employees standing in the middle of the aisle chatting and oblivious to the fact that a car was approaching them. I couldn't drive up to the empty number one through three spots so I had to park down in the #4 space for pick up. I sent the information that I was there and I waited and I waited and I waited and I waited around 20 minutes for my order to finally be delivered to my car. While waiting, I observe the same associates outside the door where the pick up carts usually come and they must've been on break together because for 15 minutes, they stood outside chitchatting while I waited for my order. Seems rather inefficient to schedule two employees for the same break time when they're basically the only employees scheduled to pick and deliver orders to folks waiting. A disappointing and time-consuming pick up at Sam's today. read more

I've never had a bad experience here. Thing I like about Sam's club is the fact that you could get membership at a fraction of the cost. Membership goes on sale around the holidays on apps such as Groupon. They are usually well stocked here, but they have been out of IAMS mini chunks a couple of times, but I blame that on the pandemic. Bakery has a nice selection of breads and sweets. I always enjoy the croissants. Can always find some deals after the holidays too. Picked up a box of pumpkin shaped Reese's for $6 today, that's 36 pieces. If you go early you can score some deals on meats too. I work close, so it's always easy for me to stop by and pick up a few things. read more

Love getting gas when it's early in the morning. Dropped hubby off at work, and then stopped here. Gas $2.55 with the member discount. Some of the attendants (retired ones), are always helpful and conversational. Wish they had the soap and water to go with the window brush. Pays to have a membership here. read more

Matthew at this pharmacy was a godsend. I had been to multiple pharmacies and no one in the city carried the prescription that the Northern Nevada emergency room prescribed. He called multiple pharmacies for me to check. When they didn't have it, he called the emergency room and got them to change it to a prescription they carry! (After the ER had sent the wrong prescription AGAIN) He also stayed well past when his shift was over to ensure i got my prescription. He went above and beyond and should be commended. I jumped ship from Costco to here. And Costco was my first wholesale club experience. So I can't help but compare the two. Upon walking in, the first thought came to my head was "Omg, what is this place?" No customers on a Friday afternoon. Employee pulling very loud pallet jack back and forth around the tire center. And the entrance floor is very empty, unlike at Costco you'll see tons of things the first step you take after the entrance. I'm getting a bad Walmart-after-midnight-vibe already. Headed to the customer counter to get my physical card, and just one employee there, there are a family in front of me arguing something with the employee, and It must have taken about 10-15 mins because while standing there I thought about maybe when it's my turn I should just tell her I want to cancel my membership and ask for a refund. Got my card, got a cart, and walked further into the store. It has a sad run-down vibe to it, but I think mostly because I didn't see many people and the floor is too empty..... Comparisons to Costco: Gas Station: SO MUCH better than Costco, you just need to scan your phone and refuel. Because it was my first time using it, so I got confused, I walked around trying to find the attendant, nowhere to be found in sight. Then as I was pulling out of the gas station I passed by a little booth and I finally saw the gas attendant, who's a female, sitting down, playing on her phone with a big smile. At Costco, the attendant actually walks around, when Costco changed the card reader from swipe to chip reader I was confused, and the attendant saw me struggling before I even get the chance to look him around. (1) I didn't see as many computer and TV selections as Costco. No Apple products like iMac, Macbook Pro etc. No Microsoft Surface. (2) Sam's does have single pack of things unlike Costco which usually comes in 2 or 3 even 4, like milk, and if you live by yourself, you'll have to hurry up and eat them before they go bad, and also gain 30lbs of weight too. LOL. So with Sam's, although not a lot, at least they do have smaller sized products. (3) Costco has more Asian frozen food like multiple styles of pot stickers and dumplings; whereas Sam's only has one. (4) Sam's has cheap and AYCE-quality sushi!!!( yummy!) I also really LOVE their Italian herbs grilled chicken breasts, it's healthy! Costco doesn't have those items. Another thing is that Sam's there are no fancy brands of skincare products; whereas Costco offers tons of fancy skincare brands like SK-11, Kose雪肌精, and such. So I think Costco and Sam's are really apple and pear, they both have something the other doesn't offer. read more

I was looking for some alcohol filled chocolate bottles to give out for Christmas. I found online they had VSC liquor filled chocolate bottles 40 of them for $9.98. Compared to online at $24 for 40, I decided to join as this would save me $30 for two boxes. (A special note: these bottles are pretty small-about the size of my middle finger... LOL not giving the middle finger to someone) i'm not sure if the higher-priced ones online or the larger chocolate bottles. They are however gifts for some local workers that always are friendly and helpful. Anything should be a nice surprise LOL. Joining online was easy, ordering and paying online was standard also. Picking them up was a bit more time-consuming. There was one girl working the membership counter. The line was not small, however it did seem that she spent a long time on the customer in front of me. She was however very nice and helpful. I saw the gas was $2.80 a gallon, and asked her since I joined the night before online, could I get a card to insert in the machine at the gas pump. She was very friendly and said absolutely no problem. After picking up my goods, I decided to look around and Sam's Club as I usually shop at Costco. I do all the shopping for our family, so I wanted to compare prices. The first thing I could say, is they have some great deals on meat. I found some chicken thighs for $.80 a pound, 90% lean ground beef for three dollars a pound. And boneless skinless chicken thighs for $1.78 a pound. The beef had and lamb some great prices too. I bought Lame T-bones for around seven dollars a pound, some round steak for about three dollars a pound. I would have bought much more meat, but my freezer and refrigerator are sitting full with 220 pound hams for the Christmas season. I bought those at Smith's for $.97 a pound. The Caesar salad kits as well as plums were definitely cheaper than Costco, so I bought some of that. A huge container of chopped garlic was $3.98 and a huge bottle of mixed Italian seasoning had a dollar off special. I've ventured through the self check out and it was really simple. They have a hand scanner and I scanned my card I scanned everything in my basket and then finish the transaction with the pay now button. I waited for my receipt to print, however it did not print. A guy walking by adjusted the scanner as apparently I hung it up incorrectly. Then the receipt printed. As I was leaving, I checked out the food court. And they have the same deal for a hotdog and soda value $1.50. It is an all beef hot dog, I will bring the kids back to try this later this month. Just to see how the hotdogs compared to Costco. Overall it was a pleasant experience, would've gotten five stars, however the delay at the membership counter as well as when I was checking out I asked one of the workers for a box and she pointed them out quite a few aisles away. There were three or four workers just standing there. Would've been nice if they just grab me one as I had a really full cart. I have a year to keep trying this to see if I want to renew it or not. I had been away from Sam's club for a few years. I improved my credit report and reapplied for Sam's and I was accepted for in store credit. The member services rep showed me how to the smartphone app to buy gas. I looked up the price for Costco gas and with my Sam's discount today both locations were the same ... except that Costco by the airport had a line of about 50 people waiting for gas. I noticed a cover photo taken by Keith Ladzinski on the magazine rack at 30% or more off. List price was $14.99 ... today's price was $10.49. read more

I was done with Sam's but then I got a bargain membership price from Sam's. There is a lot of Sam's membership bargains online. We only shop there when we're in Reno. They've improved a bit and now have scan and go. The parking is still ridiculous with all the close spaces either handicapped or curb pick up. The issue I have is after getting my membership, I haven't been able to get a real card. I had to go online and get one on my phone, which works, however, Now I constantly get ads from Sam's on my phone. It is irritating and something I did not ask for. I delete it and report it as spam/junk but it just keeps coming. For me, more than anything else, these ads will be a deal breaker come renewal time. Love the cupcakes the Bakery makes for kids with one exception: the flimsy container. Ordered the 30 pack for my granddaughter's birthday party. The container held 2 separate trays of 15-count cupcakes. One tray is chocolate, the other vanilla. When I picked up the container to put in the car the top started pulling off the bottom tray. Once home I used packing tape at each corner and the middle of the container to prevent the container from separating. Made it to the birthday party in one piece but the story soon changes. Once the candles on the cupcakes were lit my granddaughter's mother picked up the tray of cupcakes and SPLAT the chocolate cupcakes landed on the floor!!! The five-second rule did not apply. Not sure what exactly happened other than the tray giving way. The only saving grace was there were 15 kids at the party and 15 cupcakes survived so only the adults missed out on the sugary goodness that is cake. So if anyone from Sam's Club reads this, PLEASE reinforce the bottom of the container so this doesn't happen at another child's party. Things to keep in mind when ordering from the Bakery: Allow at least 24 hours to place an order. Cakes and cupcakes arrive at the store frozen. So you may lose out by not giving them sufficient time to order the item requested. Most importantly check the bottom of the tray! Overall, the SamsClub employees are wonderful and very helpful. read more
