It's been a while since I last visited Kohl's because the store is so out of my way but we happened to be in the neighborhood. When we arrived, there seemed to be a lot of cars in the lot but when we entered the store, there was only a handful of customers. The store was pretty organized and their inventory looked like it was higher quality than your standard Walmart or Target, albeit their selection was limited. We did find some good bargains but most of the inventory was a bot pricey; customer service was adequate, our cashier, Daniella (if I remembered her name tag correctly) was polite and professional, and our brief interaction was overall pleasant. read more

When the Covid pandemic was ending many businesses closed or struggled to regain their footing. Kohl's being one of them. There may have been other factors, but this location, in particular, has little product and was quite chaotic. Here on a recent Reno visit, the shelves were finally starting to look full again and the floor people were working hard to create a new, more inviting atmosphere. Mostly on a price discovery mission, we did manage a few gift purchases at very reasonable prices. We even took advantage of some great sales. Two of my nephews are making the transition to coffee pods. They received a lovely Hamilton Beach dual brewer. For Christmas, my cousin will be getting the biggest crock pot I have ever seen. All from this Kohls location. The store is very clean and easy to find most every item. The bathrooms are also clean, but were hard to locate on my own. Initially, it was difficult to find this place, tucked away off the main drag. But, once we found it, that became a moot point. Mrs. E. gets a might nervous when we pull out on to Damonte or exiting by the Roadhouse. If you do visit, be careful when leaving. After today's visit we earned serious Kohl's cash. Not sure if Sephora is completely independent from Kohls, but it was a Kohls employee, well actually the Sephora employee as well, that gave almost no Customer Service. I may as well have checked out myself as well. I went into Sephora needing help in selecting an eyeliner. The Sephora employee was busy opening boxes, so I was on my own for a few. She eventually came by, answered a few questions, pointed some items out and left again. I wasn't totally satisfied with what I was getting, but I settled and went to go pay. When I got to the counter, the Kohls employee processed my purchase, while the Sephora employee continued opening boxes. No people skills whatsoever. I asked a question about the product I was purchasing and her response was, "I don't know, I'm just covering". Couldn't she have made any effort to find out? I left very frustrated and will not come back to this Sephora. Also, this was a Kohls employee, so Kohls management, do yourself a favor and train your employees on Customer service. read more

First time using this as an Amazon return. Figured it would be best to go during the week. Called to make sure the Amazon counter was open. They should really make a separate # number for Amazon, than going thru the whole Kohls menu... Amazon counter had moved, and now between the home section and cooking.. No line!!! I just love to shop kohl's. With all the coupons and my 30 % off the entire order I saved over 350.00 dollars . Thats no joke in my wallet. All name brands, so much to choose from. The store was clean and not cluttered. Plenty of room. Little Santa helpers everywhere. I got my basket of goods and waited in line. Only 7 people in front of me. Long story short the customer in front of me forget something so she had to step out of line. I moved forward. So in about 6 minutes there's only 1 person in front of me, I saw the lady coming back and now the line was 15 deep. I said to her, I've saved your spot. This store is in a spot that is hard to get in and out of easily. And to make things harder for the customer, many times they have one of the entrances locked off so that there is only one way in and out. The store is clean and fairly well organized. I have shopped here for years, mostly for things for the grandchildren or for Holidays. I like the products they carry. I am not happy with their credit card. It is never easy to get the bill so it can be paid and the customer service desk send you away when trying to pay there. We have had so much trouble with trying to pay that we will no longer use their credit card. I do like the fact that I can take Amazon returns to this store and while there browse the racks. They offer a 20% off coupon when you make an amazon return. I just tried to use it and found out by the cashier that it was not good for the items that I was buying. I never had that problem before so they probably changed their policy. In all the small print that no one reads it specifies the items it will work on and it is mostly Kohl's brand clothes and only certain one's. Who is going to go and try to find those particular clothes just to use the discount? And who has good eyesight to see the small print, not many. I won't be using the discount coupon again. No one wants to get to the register with a bunch of stuff to find it is not good and that they changed their policy. read more

We went here for an Amazon return, located all the way in the back of the store. The line was pretty big, but the worker called for help and it took less than 3 minutes until our turn. Once we were up their the process was very fast and simple. When the return was done we got a $5 coupon to use which was cool. One thing that I did notice is that the floors are pretty dirty. Bums always in the parking lot and the parking lot itself has weeds everywhere and the asphalt is full of holes. No pride in stores appearance. Older black women at the return desk is rude and judgmental. Don't go here if you want a positive shopping experience. read more

Don't come here very often. I think it's because it's always hard for me to find someone to help me. This location has super easy parking... And is usually very clean. Staff when you can find someone is usually very eager to help, but has no idea how to help you. They do usually get on their walkie-talkies and figure out someway to get it done... I feel like a bit more training needs to be done prior to getting someone on the floor. I husband and I went into grab a gift for my nephew's that had been advertised on TV for quite some time. They had no idea what I was talking about... So I had to pull it up on the Internet go to customer service and have them see if they had in stock. They went through three different customer service people to attempt to find it on the floor. After they couldn't find it on the floor they told me that I could order it from the kiosk at no additional shipping charge. The woman who Had me follow her over to the kiosk had no idea How to use the kiosk once he got there. That's kind of the idea what I'm talking about here. The prices are pretty good and this place reminds me of an upper scale target... With no food of course. My sister-in-law loves to go here... And clips coupons and saves codes and blah blah blah which gives her a really good deal on clothes and accessories for her and her family. I guess I'm just not that kind of a girl. I'm positive note this organization does offer support for nonprofits when it comes to staffing events... So I support them because they support our community!Overall this place is clean enough and has clothes and shoes so in an emergency I could pop by and get something if I was short on time. If i could give a zero review i would. So disappointed ... my dad left his cell phone in a dressing room YESTERDAY. He realized it when he got back to work after his short lunch break. He drove back at 5pm to check and see if it was there ... and he was told it wasn't. He saw a younger gentleman with 2 phones in his pocket but he didn't want to accuse anyone. His girlfriend called and spoke with the manager and informed her we tracked the phone back to the building so someone there had it. She was extremely rude and unhelpful. His girlfriend stated she'd file a police report and press charges. I called today and Crystal answered. She was extremely helpful and stated "someone turned it in today" THANK GOD is what we thought... till we picked it up... the phone has been completely wiped clean as if someone was going to attempt to sell it, then got scared from his girlfriends call and decided to turn it in. My dad is an older gentleman and he had sentimental pictures of his grand children that will never be replaced. It saddens me this new generation has no values ... no morals... and the management has no customer service, or realization that the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT. I can only hope someone from upper management finds out who turned it in, and punishes the "finder" accordingly. Although, with todays day and age, we know they will not even receive a smack on the hand for the years of photographs that were stripped away from my father. Shame shame. Nice department store conveniently located off of Damonte Ranch and South Virginia in South Reno. LOVE their sales. Sometimes you can find women's clothes on sale for up to 80% off. This was a quick in and out, 'let's see what they've got' trip. Didn't really have anything in mind. Right now Kohls is having sales on their end of season clothes and getting ready for Fall. Kohls also has home goods. Nice bedding, kitchen appliances, and home decor. Nice all around "go to" department store for all of your clothing and household needs. Who manages this place?? I was shopping the other day and could not believe what a disaster this store was. I took few pictures, but the WHOLE store was a wreck! Clothes were all over the floor, trash on the ground, display shelves a complete mess and the women's dressing room looked like a bomb went off. Why would Kohl's corporate office allow this? Great area department store and very clean! Located on the corner of Damonte and South Virginia; they share an adjacent parking lot with Texas Roadhouse. Parking lot was well lit with lots of parking as well as a number of handicap parking spots right up front for those in need. When entering or exiting the store, they also have handicap push button door openers which is a very nice feature that every store with manual doors should have. My initial reaction when walking in to this store was "this store is very clean and looks very organized". As soon as you walk in, if you're in need of carts; they are located to your left as soon as you walk in through the second set of doors. They have just about everything you would expect them to have at a department store; everything from toys, children's clothes, shoes, kitchenware etc... The situation may change as the holidays and sales get closer but coming here mid afternoon resulted in minimal lines and allowed us to go in and out without to much hassle. While walking through the store, there seems to be quite a few sales already but I would expect that more sales will be hitting the floors in the coming week so keep your eyes peeled!! Bathrooms, drinking fountains and customer service are located in the back left corner of the store. If you have a Kohl's store card, you can also make convenient payments while you're here. Staff members seem very friendly but first, finding one within the department can be a bit tricky and you might even find yourself walking around a bit to find one. When checking out, you will be asked if you have a Kohl's store card that you would like to use in order to receive (what ever amount is being offered that day) a discount. The one thing I wasn't too fond of was how persistent the girl was when checking out our items; to use our card in order to get the discount. After several attempts by her, I made it very clear to her that I did not want to use the store card... Gotta' hand it to her though, she was persistent :) but maybe a tad too much... There's always a sale going on at Kohl's. If you don't find the item you want on sale this week, you'll find it on sale another week. Just hang on and wait. During the summer, I bought a watch at the Kohl's in Carson City. The battery never seemed to last very long, so I would go back there, they'd cheerfully replace the battery and off I'd go for another month or so. After the third battery died in as many months, I finally gave up and let the watch collect dust but recently, I thought I'd pop in the store and give a new battery one last try. Instead, the lady at the jewelry counter suggested I just grab another watch of the same brand and make (they happened to be still in stock). Five minutes later, I had a brand new watch. I had no receipt and they only had my words to go by. SWEET. read more

I love Kohls in general and this is a nice location. Maybe I have a fondness for it since it is the first Kohl's I ever went to. I like the somewhat quiet location of South Virginia and Damonte Ranch Parkway. It shares a parking lot with a bank and a Texas Roadhouse so there's generally not a lot of traffic to fight with and parking spots are plenty. I like the layout of this store as well. Kohl's is like Walmart. They're all pretty much the same but different stores have slightly different layouts (womens on the left, men's on the right, customer service in the back, whatever). This layout is the most comfortable to me personally and I never have trouble finding what I'm looking for here. Kohl's is a great place to shop for clothes for the whole family. While sometimes I've been frustrated with sizing issues, I think that goes for most women's retailers and isn't a Kohl's issue specifically. They tend to run great sales here and that is what sets this store apart. It's also a great place to go look at shoes and browse various housewares. My kids always love their Christmas section which pops up reliably every fall. If you want a super obscure Christmas ornament for your office ornament exchange? You might just find it here. They also have toys, greeting cards, and a kitchen gadget section that I could spend hours drooling over. Sometimes if we have some time to spare, we'll just stop by and browse around to kill time. My one complaint would be that the carts aren't often corralled and there's a high proportion of little old ladies that steal the ones with seats (when there's seat-less carts available) causing me to have to carry a baby through the store. Kohl's is not my cup of tea. The two times I've been here, it has been a mess. I attempted to go through the clothing section but became frustrated with the organization. A co-worker told me that a lot of times, you can only find one of everything in random places. She was right. I found one of something...but the wrong size with it nowhere it be found elsewhere. My favorite section? The kitchen stuff. They have some pretty decent deals and I ended up buying some ramekins there. They definitely promote food network items at good prices. I ended up returning something here and walked to the back of the store. I don't know if the guy hated his job but he had the dropsies. He dropped my ID. He dropped his pen. He dropped my item. What in the world? Anyhoo, I got my store credit and moved on. It hasn't been busy at all the times I've been here. Parking lot was empty. If I need any kitchen items, I'll return. Kohl's has awesome deals. No matter what time of day, day of the week - everything is on sale. This location is the better of the area locations. It always seems a tad more organized and the employees are always helpful and polite. Sections are large for men's and women's. Shoe section is nice too - dress and athletic shoes a plenty. This is the go to store for my fiance and I whenever we want a new outfit for work or play. Aside from clothes and shoes they have a great homegoods section - towels, bowls, coffee makers - they have it all. It's such a luxury to have one of these in the neighborhood! as with my review two years ago, all still remains the same......... BUT Check out, I stand off to the side waiting for whomever I am with and get to watch this process. Folks you really need to make a defined practice for folks to know what the hell they are supposed to do. I see some folks form a line in-between the open registers and wait their turn. Fine, but there is nothing that states this is what is acceptable. So for the unaware, or just stupid, or just rude folks who simply walk up to a register and stand behind the person being waited on is just annoying. I saw it today again and you get to see the physical frustration of those waiting in line. So FIX it, make it clear how one is suppose to use the check out. Set up a sign that says line starts here, or put up a sign that says go to register of choice. Why make a pleasant shopping experience suck at the end... read more

Kohl's has pretty much become my go to for work clothes. I especially love the Lauren Conrad line and the Elle line. New styles come out pretty frequently and there's always something new when I stop in. Some areas of the store could use a little more frequent straightening up and the dressing rooms could be cleared out more frequently too. Also, when I went to return something, it wasn't immediately clear to me where to go, so I stood in the checkout line. The girl kind of gave me a weird look when I said I wanted to return something and her response sort of implied "why wouldn't you know that the returns are in the back corner of the store". Anyway, the rest of the return process was painless. And finally, I've never seen more than one checkout stand open. So, lines can take an excruciatingly long time. One of my favorite parts of Kohl's - Kohl's cash, obviously. So, you have to work this the right way - don't buy everything you want all at once. Buy enough to get you some Kohl's cash, then buy the rest and use the Kohl's cash from the previous purchase. Just don't miss that narrow window when they can be used. read more

The big box stores are honestly the hardest ones for me to write reviews for. What can you say that hasn't been said already? I've been going to Kohl's since they first came to Reno, and I've been coming to this location since we moved to the south end of town about three years. I have not once ever had a problem with any of their stores. They've always been clean, the customer service has always been good, and the prices are usually clearly marked. On top of that, you can always get something on sale and if you forget your mailer or your phone, the employees usually have scratchers to give you so you get more of a discount. What I like most is their return policy. It doesn't matter at which location you bought the item (online, Sparks, California) they'll take it. No receipt? Not a problem. Did you buy it more than 30 days ago? No worries, they'll still take it. It's one of the best return/exchange programs I've ever seen. read more

Never have I been to a more unorganized Kohl's store or have sure unhelpful staff. This is also the only store I have ever shopped at that didn't give a senior discount even though it was not Wednesday. The old lady clerk was snarky and rude. Won't go back to that location ever again. read more

As I was walking around the store, their team members (I hate the word "staff") we're all so incredibly friendly and welcoming, I really appreciated it and thought the service worthy of a Yelp review, as that's fairly rare at times, especially at those dubbed "discount stores". You'll find this store to offer a cleanly relaxing shopping experience whatever day of the week. I've visited 4 Kohl's in Nevada from Henderson to Reno and can say this one is just like the rest. As you enter you'll feel two things, a cool breeze of ther air conditioned environment and a panoramic view of clothes to fit a variety of occasions. They carry a very consistent brand image and offer the same experience at any of their locations. Clean dressing rooms and clean bathrooms facilities at a modest price. My visit recently brought me to their shoe department. A young girl named Kaitlyn helped me find just what I was looking for and went out of her way to accommodate my needs. Gosh it's been a few years since I've been here. There is comfort in knowing nothing much has changed really. Same look, same outlay of product, and same emptiness of clientele as before. I haven't compared prices with their competition but I have this sad sense they are holding on by their fingernails. I hope that isn't true, honestly. They have good quality clothes which appears to be competitive and they have sale racks for days!!!! I grabbed some new towels that were about 40% off and they are promising to be soft and luxurious. I'm so upset. I bought a Fitbit exactly a month ago and it died. I went to return it just now and they tell me I can't return it after 30 days. It was a Xmas present to myself. No one ever told me I had thirty days to return electronics. That's really crappy. Three managers came out and told me there was nothing to do!! Wow! I will never shop there again!! read more
