I have reviewed the produce at this location before, it got better. So I am hoping that this review will encourage a change in the Costco eatery or food court. The lady that serves the food normally during the week wears a mask, which is totally her prerogative BUT, when she is constantly touching the saliva and bacteria filled rag attached to her face and touching the food, Houston we have a problem! I always greet her and try to engage in at least trying to get a greeting from her. I'm not sure why she has no eye contact and no greeting usually. When we thank her there is a mumble. I can never understand her when she does talk, the mask is usually impeding her mouth like a slight gag. I hope that this review is constructive, she is off putting when my kids and I need to grab a quick chemical filled snack just to fill us up enough for a real meal. I had been researching covid booster vaccines and it seemed everything was online and booking in January and Feb in the metro area. I checked Costco online yesterday for Rochester and tons of openings. I was in Harmony today for work and got gas at $2.99 a gallon and looked on their website for covid openings and nothing appeared. I went inside and everything is flipped around, such as you go to the right. Every other Costco you walk to the left. This got me completely not in my element. I reached the not busy pharmacy and they had Moderna booster. There wasn't much of a wait and the vaccine was done in 10 seconds. I also bought a few other things and renewed my membership for $1.16. I spent enough last year to get the 2% back of the $120 membership fee. I think I'll stick to my regular Costco. read more

Recently I visited Costco to look for something that wasn't available at my Twin Cities Costco. They didn't have it either but they do have a wider selection on several items (cheese, plants, frozen). They are enforcing their mask policy but they do not clean the carts. I had to bring my own supplies to wipe down my cart. It also seems to be a bit roomier than my usual store but is laid out backwards in comparison. I would have given an extra star if they had wiped the carts. read more

Everyone working at the Rochester Costco is friendly and helpful. I have gotten some bad produce a couple times but Costco made things right which was nice. The lines can be pretty long sometimes but they do go fast. Hopefully they add scan-and-go at some point. I have had good luck at their tire center over the years too. read more

YEA, Rochester has a Costco's!!! It's what you would expect from your standard store with samples throughout the aisles, lots of items for a great price and enough kitty litter for 10 cats. After living in California for a couple of years, I shopped at Costco every few weeks for groceries as they have great produce, it is good to see these standards have been maintained when visiting a store in the Midwest. You can buy organic veggies fresh, granted in large sizes, at a great price. I also love the ability to use the website since I live about an hour from this store. The selection store is slightly different from online and you get the food so we make a trip to Rochester every month of so. Take a trip to Costco's, it's MUCH, MUCH better than Sam's Club!!! read more

After 5 years of membership I managed to meet one of Costco's Jr Executives running the till today,, He was harassing his helper constantly as the line finally got to me.. I guess his helper must have been in training.. There was no way this fella was going to get me checked out. I had to go to the membership desk right now because my picture was too worn.. They were 6 deep at the membership desk so I replied that Walmart is getting my business. Felt sorry that the helper/ probably had to put all those groceries back. Always clean and fully stocked. There is always a line, BUT the cashiers are so fast that the wait is minimal. They have some Gluten Free items that are awesome...like the pizza. I'm done with Costco online, and they don't care. First they delivered a bed that I canceled, despite hours on the phone with customer service. Then they delivered the right bed to the wrong city and made promises of expediting the replacement but did nothing. Hours of wasted time and I have to scramble to find a replacement bed before the holidays for my 92-year-old in-laws to sleep on. Costco is like an uncle that is familiar that can live in another city, but you can visit because you know what to expect. I'm a Costco member ($60/year "Gold Star", $60/year "Business", $120/year "Executive") so when I need gas, I can swing thru any local Costco & fuel up for less that the local rate. This is based solely on a 2 minute visit to Costco! We are here in Rochester for my fathers Cancer treatment at Mayo. We walked into Costco to grab a few times since we'd be here all week. First-off, what Costco or any grocery store for that matter wouldn't have sanitizing wipes for the cart? The carts were filthy with dried dirt from the snow and not only that, it's flu season. It's shocking that Mayo Clinic is just a few miles away and cancer patients come in and out of here while getting treatment and nothing is done to help keep the germs away. The older lady at the entrance seemed clueless like I was an inconvenience to her by asking for such wipes. It's one thing if you don't have them- perhaps apologize and rid the attitude! Come on Costco, you pride yourself with certain standards and this experience was such a disappointment. Rochester Costco you should be utterly disappointed with yourselves! read more

Love Costco! This one is actually one of the betters that I've been to. We stop at Costcos all around the country because, why not? Customer service is pretty decent here although one of the sample ladies (Sandy) is super rude and mean, like literally yells at my kid mean. I like the organic selection but I wish they would have more and keep it more consistent. They get a good product in and I feel like it sells well and they replace it with another cheaper brand. The return policy is top notch. That's one plus about Costco, they will stand by their products! The gas station is big, so the wait is usually non existent or maybe one or two cars ahead. read more

I usually spend around $300 per visit usually once every two months, usually get Kirkland coffee, and Kirkland protein bars are good too. The only problem is after you stand in line to pay then you need to stand in an even longer line so the person at the door can double check everyone's cart and receipt. So if you dont mind feeling like a criminal in a store that no one trusts you then go ahead and pay to shop. I do because I have done the math and I save enough to break even on the cost of the membership. read more

Considering you have to pay a membership to shop here most of the employees are rude AF! You can never find an employee handy to ask where something is without going all the way up front. Most of the cashiers are rude with a few exceptions, like hot Brock! The door guardians are so unpleasant, coming in and leaving. They treat every customer like a thief. read more

Since I tend to hit up a Costco whenever I am near one I decided to stop in to the fairly new Costco in Rochester. I had a prescription that I needed filled and walked up to the pharmacy window. The guy takes the script and punched a few things into his computer and realized they did not have enough of the medication to fill the whole prescription. The pharmacist offered to fill with what they had and to get the rest by the next day but I opted to just take the script up to the SLP Costco when I got home. As for the rest of the store, it is very well lit and the merchandise appears equivalent to what you would find at any other midwest Costco. I was able to find two pairs of shorts in a style that I had not seen at the SLP location, so I scored those. Checkout was fast and efficient and I was on my way. FYI - this location does have a gas station but no liquor store. read more

Callaway Golf Balls, 2-dozen for $29.00 (compare at $45.00 elsewhere), lots of good prices on produce, meat and fish. Milk and Eggs are very good deals also. Tires!! Great deals on tires!! Costco is great everywhere. However, this one is different. You start on the left side and make your way to the right (this is opposite of all other locations I've been to in the states and Canada). I have been having Costco change the tires on my car from my summer tires to my winter tires for three years. I switched my membership to Costco from Sams Club for this reason. Today, I was told that Costco will no longer service my car/tires because I did not purchase the tires there. I have been paying for this service for three years. Now they no longer want my business. Seems like a messed up business model. What would compel me to purchase my future tires there if this is how they treat their membership customers.
