WHAT's GOING ON COSTCO?! I love Costco for many reasons... however, no matter how much love I have, I cannot ever really give them a 5-Star. My first and foremost reason, when it comes to their business model of shopping, it is well documented and known by Costco employees that the stores PURPOSEFULLY most items around. Even their very popular ones! That makes it difficult to run in, find an item or two, pay, and run out when you need to. That is a total garbage model and time waster for smaller busier families. Not everybody has the luxury of shopping with Mrs. Daisy and make a visit to Costco a wonderful family outing and be forced to explore shop, and encounter new products while looking common popular items. Secondly, on my last two trips here, the store was either out one or more of my favorite staple Costco items OR no one knows where they are at. The employees frankly come off spooked when asked where an item is. That's how bad it is. In my most recent visit, I was told by an employee that Costco no longer does premade pizzas anymore! Haha! Lame! I'll admit that I really only keep my membership to benefit from their gas prices. read more

Parking can be a bit of a maze with smaller lanes. Food court outdoors woth tables available and self serve drink station. Seasonal items for summer time are displayed. Easy to find what you're looking for. Gift cards vary by location. Great selection of items. Staff are always friendly and helpful. read more

No eggs (selection), And always a huge line at the outside hot or rainy or windy line of the food court. Only two retail associates WHY even the technology of putting in our orders if we have to wait forever to be helped? There are always 2 windows where more associates could help but to hire 2 more would be too much to ask right? Specially in an economy that needs more jobs offered. So I come obviously to Costco to shop for groceries every other week. I like shopping here usually I do the self check out, but my thing is what's the point of having self check out if I cant self check out, they have this whole thing now that they don't let you self check out unless they scan everything for you so like what's the point of self checkout and if it's certain amount of stuff they will send you to a regular register with the excuse of "it's too many items for me to scan" like to me that's ridiculous. read more

This may be the grumpiest Costco I've ever visited. This warehouse is actually really nice, but quite a few of the employees are CRANKY. I don't know what's in the air here, but I wouldn't recommend this location. There's a great selection of product to choose from, just not the best customer service. read more

Customer service was very disappointing. I have been a member for almost three years and have never had an issue paying with my husband's credit card, even though he is not a member. Today, however, it suddenly became a problem, and I was not allowed to use his card. I have used the same card at multiple Costco locations without any issues, so I was surprised by the inconsistent enforcement of the policy at this store. The experience was frustrating and left me feeling like a valued member was not being treated fairly. read more

When I visited this Costco last night, I thought it was my first time here. It was, but it wasn't. I just read my previous review that I wrote 3 years ago. I was here in their parking lot, but not inside the warehouse. I said I wouldn't come back, but I did... so here I am. So never say never because you may LOL. I came here looking for some One Day Woman +50 multi and Nature Made pre-natal vitamins and Kirkland shampoo + conditioner based on my friend's great recommendations. Thank you my friend... you know who you are. I got the vitamins and they were on sale. The latter weren't on sale, but still got them. Along the way, I saw ashwagandha and turmeric pills. They were on sale, too, so got them as well. I wanted to also get Dr. Bronner's liquid soap, but they didn't have them in the warehouse. They are out of stock online at this time. A super nice lady staff member helped me confirm. Thank you miss! It was towards closing time so check-out was very fast and easy. No long lines. My overall visit turned out to be quite smooth. Went to this costco for a few items and the lady Priscilla at the door was extremely rude. She stated that people lie about which membership they have so it has to be scanned before anyone enters the store and Teresa at the customer service desk was also very deceitful and rude. When I spoke to her on the phone earlier she gave false information about returning an item. I've been using the online service a lot lately.... So far almost everything I've ordered has been delivered with care.... Only once did I have an issue and it was with an outside company that Costco uses occasionally to deliver their product.... Recently, I ordered a LG Washer & Dryer.... I was worried & tried to call Costco prior to delivery to verify that the units came with installation kits... no one at the warehouse was completely sure... my husband is disabled so I can't leave him alone.... The drivers showed up with everything that was needed.... They were so quick & efficient....within minutes they had the old units uninstalled.. and the new ready to be in installed.... I'm not sure who these guys were but Costco you should use them ALWAYS!!! No Fuss No stress!!!! read more

Worst Costco location. They need to shut this location down immediately to save what's left of their reputation. Avoid this Costco by any means necessary. The quality of service is beyond poor compared to their other locations. I am a Costco connoisseur since 2011. I've visited several different locations from New York to Hawaii to San Francisco and this one is the worse Costco I've ever stepped foot in. It's almost as if it's not a real Costco. The location is always a mess and you'll be lucky to get help when searching for items. If you need a carry out don't even bother, no one's coming to help you. The coffee grinder is always broken or not available to use. They never have the items that are on coupon. And the returns department makes their own return policy. Costco prides itself on member service and 100% satisfaction guaranteed but not at this location (478). I recently attempted to return a gold chain I bought my son (with receipt and original box) because the chain broke. They refused to accept it because it's jewelry and it was broken. No where is this specified. When I showed them the return policy they have on their website the manager simply said "no". When I inquired to speak to the store manager "Sherri" she wouldn't even give me the time of day. Knowing they weren't following their own policy, the exact same day (see attachments), I went to the Fontana location and they completed the return according to the Costco policy "no questions asked, 100% member satisfaction guaranteed". What makes this worse is when I bought the necklace it was $220.00 and it is now $250.00. I told them I wanted the money on a Costco cash card and I was willing to eat the loss and pay the difference. The San Bernardino location (478) still said no. Below, I attached the original receipt from San Bernardino, the returned receipt from Fontana and the repurchase receipt of the necklace at the San Bernardino location because Fontana didn't have the necklace. The only reason I'd ever go back to the 478 location would be to take a dump if I need to. Other than that I have no intention on returning ever! My parents, my brothers, my in laws and my whole extended family are all Costco members and we all are boycotting this location. I plan to spread the word to everyone I encounter. I've have several bad experiences but this was the last straw. I wasted a whole day going back and forth completing a return that should've been done no problem. Customer service is horrible!! Management needs training in Customer service! Every time I go to this store I have had a negative conflict at the door as well as at check out. The personnel say this is what our store manager says. I shop for my 88 year old mom we are on the same membership sometimes I leave her in car with caregiver if it's just a few things or pickup prescriptions. I have been given a difficult time at the door and checking out even when we're both present. I understand verifying membership to a point but they are so rude take it too far. They never apologize once I prove all the memberships we have they just make it very difficult. I never get screened in this manner at any other Costco in Hawaii Washington or other California locations. CORPORATE PAY ATTENTION YOU HAVE A BIG PROBLEM !! I have been a member from the beginning in fact we have 3 executive 2 people per membership 6 people and several memberships with citi cards attached. The pharmacy is fantastic at this location! However, the greeters and cashiers treat people very rudely and I feel like I'm in a prison trying to get in and check out. There's a really problem with the mentality of the personal. We are Customers not inmates. We are spending thousands of dollars on your store and you treat us like we're criminals. I avoid this store go to Moreno valley or Riverside if possible. read more

I finally got my Costco membership and went today to buy some items. Keep in mind it's my first visit my picture was not even taken, I'm excited to be a member, I also do have a Sam's club membership. But as I scan I was humiliated by Wendy an older lady yelling at me I can't come in and being obnoxious in-front of everyone. I was confused and she just kept yelling loudly you are not a black card member and not allowed. She made me turn my cart around and all members looked at me like I did something wrong. She said I'm not allowed until 10am. I was confused as it was my first time and didn't know what she meant. I then proceed to costumer service because I was confused and I didn't know what black card meant. As I walk Wendy RUNS!! Towards the exit yelling you are not allowed in!! I was so embarrassed again, I had concerns maybe racism. I was so red I left to my car and cried. Is this how Costco treats their members? I wanted to know why I couldn't get in. I googled what was black and then wished she could have been professional and just explained it to me. It's obvious I'm a new member I still needed my picture. I got in my car and went to Sam's as I am a black card member there. But have NEVER been treated that way there. I don't ever want to step foot in a Costco if all their employees are like Wendy, the other workers didn't say anything and allowed her to yell at me. Unironically, the best place to get gasoline in Southern California. Every other Costco I've ever been to in Southern California has been hideously fisted, with the exception of Eastvale, which is already a great Costco. However, Eastvale aside, San Bernardino Costco sits alone as a paragon among paragons. Something like 30 gas stations. It was temporarily cancerous to go there when it was mostly under construction, but highly professional Costco staff were proactive at directing traffic to make it...less terrible than it otherwise would have been. As for the Costco itself - Costco is Costco. Most of the items are standardized, the prices are good, the quality is good, it is what you expect when you go to a Costco. I've never seen a bad Costco - I can only presume Costco Corporate incinerates all bad Costcos and then salts the ground like Rome fate/apocryphally to Carthage (badcostco delenda est). But this Costco also stood out to me as a place where I've consistently received good service, even when it comes to the generally miserable at most places process of returning items. Food court selection isn't the greatest tbqf, all they have is the typical hot dog and pizza. Kind of wished they had something unusual, like the pretzel or caesar salad. But alas, what is there is still good. Anyways, it comes generally recommended. read more

Whoever is orchestrating the layout of this costco is going to kill someone in an emergency. There are way too many pallets on the floor blocking walkways and creating many pinchpoints that lead to cart jousting. To make matters worse, there are aisles with random blockades of water bottles. Hurricane Hillary is gone, and so are COVID19 lockdowns, there is no reason to put bottles in the aisles. To top things off, if you want to compare pricing on similar items like hamburger patties, the price per unit is inconsistent. Price per pound on one type of burger patties and price per ounce on another... these inconsistencies can get even crazier with volumes (gallon, quart, pint, ounce). Overall, this costco is always a madhouse and the service is mid. The only reason I come to this Costco is due to proximity. read more

If i could leave 0 stars i would. I walked in with the goal of a 40 pack of water. There werent any stocked up and when i looked at the racks, there was full pallets. I kindly asked an employee by the name of Sergai if he could fetch them from up there. With the mole bile tone he told me "What does it look like? Im going to drop it right now. You can wait." I've never in my 35 years of life ever been spoken to someone like that at a grocery store. It was absolutely disgusting and I will not be taking my business here anymore. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the repeated racial discrimination I have experienced at this Costco location. On two separate visits, while using self-checkout, I was targeted and watched by employees who stood over me and stared at my screen as if I was attempting to steal--something they were not doing to any other customers around me. On my most recent visit, they even stopped my transaction and questioned my use of an EBT card, despite Costco accepting it. The only difference? I am a young Black woman. No customer should be treated like a suspect because of their skin color. Do better. 0/10 read more

We don't visit this location due to always being crowded inside and out including the gas station. There is nowhere to grow the only hope is to relieve the number of shoppers by building another and time will tell by the new Highland CA location. I suspect it should have some positive impact. As someone who used their gas on multiple occasions, this will be my final time coming to this particular location due to poor customer service from one of the associates. The gas station associate (an unnamed tall, African-American gentleman) could've used a better approach when it came to my car issues, but took it upon himself to publicly humiliate me. Afterwards, I immediately called their management, and Zachary handle the situation with grace. Even for the value of gas, I would rather go across town and pay more, but at least I would be treated with respect and as a valued member. read more

I've been a customer there for over 20 years and after I went to the store went shopping. I found out that they discontinue my membership and they told me I owe them $100 cause I forgot to give it to the lady. I was so upset because then why was I given a receipt? Why was Not called? I figure customer service once the receipt is given to you. The sale is final very upset and I refuse to pay it because I don't know if the cashier lost it or stole it or gave it out to somebody on mistake.
