quite honestly, i have nothing against Costco. my wife shops there a lot. i stay away when i can because that place is terrible for my anxiety. so you ask yourself, "why did you move your prescriptions to their pharmacy?" well, i was honestly tired of CVS' nonstop barrage of text messages trying to get me to sign up for this, that or some other thing. also, i was told i could only get a 90-day refill if i went mail order and, according to my wife (her policy) that had to be through Costco. now imagine my surprise when i find out they are not a mail order pharmacy (Strongsville) and i can't figure out how to get mail order on their website because trying to sign up for MO just leads me in a circle on their website. so here i am, stuck trying going into the store to pick up scripts - and only that. not ideal, but for a while i thought i could deal with it. first time i show up there i ask the lady at the register why the site won't accept my Mastercard HSA card and her answer is "because it's Mastercard." well, thanks for that. somehow, though, my Mastercard HSA works just fine in the store. she couldn't be bothered to ask someone and was just a crabby "you know what." i was happy to see someone else there the next time i showed up - and this time the new lady was friendly as could be. however, that leads me to another issue i've had since moving to Costco. if my refills were up when at CVS, they'd contact my doctor to get refills approved. not Costco. if i'm out, it's not their problem. fair enough. how about if i request a refill and i'm out of refills, you let me know? this has happened at least 2 times now. speaking of "letting me know"... how about you not send me an email reminding me of a waiting prescription only to be closed in the middle of a Wednesday (2pm) when i show up. I understand y'all need to eat, but at 2pm when i'm told it's ideal to show up at Costco to avoid the throngs of people (apparently not true either). so now i have to go back again, waste more gas and try to find a frigging parking space later in the day when the soccer moms are stocking up on chicken nuggets and juice boxes. so that i can pick up one or two scripts. honestly, i should have stayed at CVS - since, and this is the best part, they still have one or two of my prescriptions there because Costco would only let me transfer so many - no matter how many times i tried to repeat the process. to be honest, i'll likely move back to Discount Drug Mart because it's rarely a hassle there. they just do what they do and they do it well. for all Costco's appeal, they suck at being a pharmacy. read more

Every thing is here, if they don't carry it, you don't need it. The prices are good, sure, you get big quantities but instead of one smaller quantity for more money you get a bigger one and two for the same price. But the place is packed and you need patience to check out. read more

Bought a tv here!! Never thought that would happen. The sakes help was knowledgeable and helpful. The process from purchase to checkout to car was flawless. I also had to return the TV. Only because it was too big for the room. So I went down a little from 65 to 55. The whole process was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Seem less exchange. Always busy, always searching for parking! I guess I'm not surprised...it is Costco after-all. However, this location may be popular since it is right off the highway on 71. Always stocked and carries most items. Food sampling is now back too! A bit challenging since shoppers don't wear masks and reaching out with their grubby hands to get free food. smh. Some of the sampler staff could be friendlier. I asked one who was doing samples of some vitamin drink what the benefits of this are and she went into some long history of when the items was developed and how much I should take. Never answering my question nor offering a sample. She just went back to chatting with her friend (a customer). Guess it is hard to find good help these days. Many of the clothing items tend to run out of sizes, so shop early to get the size and color you like. Membership fees start at $60 and go up to $150! Restrooms are available at the front of the store. I noticed employees wore masks, which is great considering the majority of shoppers were not! As always this store gets busy fast, but luckily since its so big you can try to socially distance yourself as you shop. read more

But to COMPLETELY harass and embarrass a customer who honestly wasn't sure if pets were allowed or not was inappropriate. Not sure if he was management or not with tire service but even after being immediately compliant and WHILE I was rushing to remove my pet from the cart first he consistently kept bashing me over the counter about my pet not being a service animal (I didn't claim this at anytime or had this impression since my pet didn't wear indications of being one?). Costco in general has very good covid-19 practices in all their staff were masked as well. First off, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Costco - and Love the independent optometrist at the Strongsville location. however this review is for the workers behind the desk in the Optical department - they are absolutely horrible and rude! I honestly think they take a training class on how to be terrible employees. Each and everyone one of them should be fired and Costco should start over and try to find workers who want to help people. Currently I am standing at the desk and a rude employee is taking care of me. I have no idea what her name is because her name tag is flipped backwards, but there are 8 other customers in the optical department and 2 workers just standing behind the desk doing nothing. This is only about the tire/auto department. I have no complaint about the rest of the store, but their tire department is shameful. I had bought 4 new tires there in February 2023, and they offered free tire rotation after so many miles. Sounds like a good deal, right? Well, in December 2023, I went back for the tire rotation, and when I got my car back, one of the low tire pressure sensors in my car had been broken. The low tire pressure indicator on my dashboard now blinks when I turn the car on, so it always appears as though one of my tires is low. This was not happening when I dropped my car off to them. When I brought this to the managers attention, I was basically told "Oh well, those break all the time. It wasn't our fault but we'll replace it for $70". Of course this answer was not acceptable, so I went back another day and spoke with a different manager. Got the same answer! These people obviously do not care about their customers. This issue could have easily been resolved by them, and should have been since the damage obviously occurred while my car was in their care. Instead, they have lost my business, and I strongly suggest that you all take your cars elsewhere. read more

Do I spend more money here than I should, yes. Do I think pizza from their cafe is an acceptable and actually quite delicious meal, yes. Do I have a love-hate relationship with Sample Saturdays, yes. Do I often find myself being asked where I got my outfit and replying "Costco", yes. Do I love spending time browsing around this place and have no intention of canceling my membership, YES! You can literally get everything in this place! And by the way, if you decide you bought something because you were overcome by the great deal, but didn't actually need the item? You're in luck, Costco has the best return policy ever! From toilet paper to engagement rings, we get everything we need from Costco, and you should too. I love Costco, who doesn't love Costco, I follow Instagrams that are dedicated to Costco! Now when I compare this Costco to others, I probably give it a 4.5 but I'll round it up. Its clean, usually isn't out of too much and has a great rotation. This Costco is very good about returns and price adjustments. Some Costcos... not so much. It is sometimes hard to get this Costco on the phone and you can be put on hold but whenever you do get on the phone they are very helpful. This Costco is in the middle to higher for gas prices around the Cleveland area but its rare that you are waiting a long time to get gas. This Costco I would say though is one of the busier Costcos in the area so buyer beware!! I love love the bakery at Costco, my favorite is usually the apple pie (when the apples are crispy) but right now they have a strawberry croissant. Each Costco does it a little difference but this Costco does a great job of marking things down that they want to move out, go and find a great deal! PS $1.50 Hot dog deal with a drink, can't be beat. read more

Costco just about has it all. Literally. Fresh produce, regular grocery stuff, baked goods, prepared meals, inflatable pool toys, car maintenance stuff, couches, lawn mowers, electric toothbrushes, Christmas cards, laptops, jewelry - I could keep going, but you get the idea! Plenty of parking, and I find that it's a little less chaotic than the Golden Gate Costco location. This Costco location usually has everything in stock and is slightly less crowded than the other location. The exceptions are 1)the weekend (people seem to come specifically for free samples), and 2) December (holiday shopping. Need I say more?) When comparing Costco to other wholesale stores, Costco seems to have the most variety and the best quality. The customer service tends to be a little better as well. The downsize is the price. It's wholesale pricing, but the generic Costco brand (Kirkland) is a bit pricier than some of the other generic wholesale store brands. Overall, good value and super convenient. read more

I am an elderly lady that had hand surgery on middle finger lost 3 fingers only can use thumb and pointer finger on right hand so I went here on Sunday 9/29/24 try to find someone who works there to put water in my car there is a joke they don't help they tell you to tell this person at register then again he tells you a receipt checker and she says goes look for a cart guy outside and ask him to do it she goes there's one I said I am not chasing a cart guy don't you have walking talkies to as him please no so I went to customer service and told her she was nice a color lady working there said she would do it Thank You I had to get my car and pull up and when I came back there was a cart boy there to load it up but I also ask when I walk in how do get someone to put water in my cart she says there should be someone there over there working ask them I said there is no one ever there working by the water but I did she a young man walking towards me and he was super nice and help me THANK YOU YOUNG MAN FOR HELPING LOAD MY CART AND HELPING THE OTHER ELDERLY MAN PUT SOME IN HIS CAR. They do need to have walkie talkies to call to help the elderly people there are a lot that shop there and need help I understand you don't care cause we already paid for our membership there but I am not happy there your service to help elderly people sucks except for the nice young man that did help on the way to his break. and the young lady at customer service desk came around to help me. FIVE Star service I had from Dominick, who works in the Strongsville, Ohio's Costco, Tire & Auto department. I arrive 45 mins. to them closing with a nail in my tire and Dominick did not hesitate to help me get this fixed and on my way to feel safe on the road. I was very impressed and happy to hear he could help me, especially since I had just went to NTB and was turned away because they were about to close themselves. A great Costco with good staff. Only negatives: Ohio doesn't allow a liquor store, and 7.75% Cuyahoga county sales tax (July 2011). The fuel island typically has better prices than even other area Costco's due to fuel sales competition in Strongsville. The location is great, right off I-71, and it's relatively easy to pop in off of SR-82. Location to South Park Center mall makes it great to hit other stores at the same time. This Costco has an excellent florist with great flower selection. They lack on some high end wines that other Costco's have, and their snack bar is typical of the US Costcos that lack things like sandwiches, burgers and fries that Costcos outside the US have. I love their self checkout, but if you have an item that's easier scanned by the staff they're pleasant and a delight to shop with. read more

Do I really need to write a review, I mean pointless at this point; right? it's Costco. Look if you are a fan of Costco then you know what I mean; its an awesome store with nearly everything you can imagine all at the highest quality. Things that you find elsewhere at Costco will be bulk quantity and you will save some money, sometimes a lot. Things that you basically only find at Costco or limited other venues will be cherry picked and highest quality. Here you might save money vs. manufacturer direct or something but it WILL be expensive and it WILL be worth it.. Top of the line stuff here If you are not a fan of Costco then: 1. You have not experienced Costco; it is a true shame but fixable 2. You have and you are not a fan. In this cases there is something seriously wrong with you and you should seek help ;) I am kidding If you are simply looking for the cheapest form of a particular product resulting from NEED or if that is your thing then Costco may not be your thing. I'm not typically the person to leave a review but wanted to in this case. Months ago I needed tires and my buddy told me to go to this Costco because he loved it here. So I went and saved a ton of money on the tires I wanted. Got the tires and they did a great job. No issues. Yesterday my tire got a nail in it and my tire went flat. Long story short (not short) I went in after I put my spare on just to see if they could fix it or get me a new tire. These days I figured it would be like most places and would be a long expensive process. I pulled up to the garage bay pretty late and without question a Dominick came out and helped me. Super friendly. He immediately grabbed my flat tire and brought it into the bay. Told me to meet him inside and he would help me out. I walked in and he pulled me right to the computer and already had my account up and ordered the new tire. I was in shock lol Since my tire was under warranty I Just paid a small fee. Dominick then said before I leave to bring my car back to the bay so he can check the spare tire and make sure the tire was on tight enough. Again I was shocked. Told me when the tire will be there and will call me. Not kidding while I'm writing this review I get a call from Costco saying my tire is already in and they can put it on today. Like what? Sorry for the long review but this was an amazing experience to the point where I took a picture of his name badge. I am now a forever fan of this costco and Dominick I thank you.
