Of my hundreds of reviews, this is the first time I have ever reviewed a Walmart location. Why? Because they're pretty much all the same. This one, however, is to be avoided. Our daughter lives here as a patient of the Cleveland Clinic, and we traveled from Houston to spend Christmas with her. The trip to the local Walmart was supposed to be easy. However, it was anything but. First, the shelves were half empty -- no exaggeration. I totally get that when a weather event is on the way and everyone is stocking up, but temps are in the 40s in the Cleveland area this week, and several locals have mentioned how warm it is for this time of year. So, throw that excuse out the window. Secondly, I saw no fewer than 10 employees with pallet jacks hauling products around the store to restock ... except they were shooting the breeze. Meanwhile, they were almost out of orange juice, milk and even Coca Cola. While the place seemed relatively clean, it was disorganized. I chalk all of that up to very poor management. When we arrived back home, I mentioned that the place was like shopping in a third world country, and that many of the patrons acted as if they were the only people in the store -- blocking aisles, turning right in front of us -- and our local family members acknowledged that such is normal around these parts. I can't write a review on rude people in general, but I can definitely say that they seem to congregate at this store. My two stars are generous for this location, especially after hearing that my experience here is par for the course. Needless to say, I don't think management here will be receiving any bonuses or promotions anytime soon. read more

Since moving to Parma in October, 2023, we have seen a consistent decline in our local Walmart on Ridgewood Drive. The store is EXTREMELY dirty and disorganized. Many of the employees are too busy chatting with each other, or blocking the aisles with their online shopping order carts, to even notice that there are customers trying to get past them. They do not seem to care. The lack of cashiers is ridiculous, and the yellow vest "leads" stand around watching the insane lines form. 20+ minutes to give you people our money is insane. This store is obviously poorly managed. The pictures I am submitting with this review should be mortifying to any of the Managers/ Supervisors associated with this store. Wake up folks...there are a lot of options out there for those of us who are disgusted with what the store has become. Aside from the Pharmacy staff, your store is really pretty pathetic. read more

Ever since this store brought in the salespeople who harass you while you're shopping, this store feels like a hostile environment. People are visibly upset after passing by the two or three scammers who will yell across the aisle to try and get your attention. Since my last review 7 years ago, this Walmart has expanded to become a super center. Now they have a full bakery, deli, and grocery store. This Walmart is better than the nearby location on Brookpark Road and it is located within my city, so I shop here instead. An issue I have is with service at the deli. I find myself waiting for anywhere between 2 - 5 minutes for service when there is no one in line, but me. The employees notice me, but they don't react for a while and I don't know why. Also, there is a perpetual beeping noise in the clothing department in the middle of the store. It has been beeping since Walmart finished the remodel on this store. I asked a store worker about the perpetual, annoying beeping and they said it is part of the alarm system. If I worked here, I would definitely say something to management. Other than the deli service and the beeping, this Walmart is pretty good. I rarely wait in lines, except for customer service. If I'm grocery shopping, I can't do self-checkout because it just doesn't work. They always have what I want in stock, except bread, bubble gum, and small bags of whole coffee beans. Sometimes, they're out of bread. They do not carry small bags of eight o'clock coffee like the nearby Walmart store. They also only carry the original bubble gum flavor of Bubblicious bubble gum. I recently ordered an item online and enjoyed free shipping it to the store. When I picked up the item, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to wait in the customer service line. I simply scanned my order bar code using my smartphone and waited at the new pick up center. An employee walked out and greeted me and then immediately retrieved my package. Wow! No waiting! The Great Value brand is terrific and prices are low, which is why I will continue to shop at Walmart. I bought a fresh loaf of bread for $0.61! read more

This is a walmart...... here it is...... Its dirty, its smelly, the employees here are weird and unhelpful. They all seem to not know where anything is and give you that idk shoulder with the hand and arm movement. I stopped in to grab some mustard and potatoes, It was okay I guess. Their Deli is something to be desired. 5 weeks ago I ordered a 4' sub, a 16 piece fried chicken, and an 8 piece fried chicken. The person who picked up the order was deaf. They took advantage of him and charged double for the 4' sub, and gave him 3 16 pieces of chicken. He had no clue what they pulled on him: The next day, I went up there and asked for my money back after being charged twice for the one 4' sub, and to be refunded for the extra chicken they gave and made me pay for, when I did not or 3, 16 pieces. they refused to refund any of the money, the manager would not go back and look at the original order. The amount of disrespect and condescending behavior towards employees and other staff is just downright disgusting. All the way from the store manager to the little lady in the front (wow she is a nasty, rude old hag). I am completely suprised this store has any employees at all by how they are treated. If I could describe the way this Walmart is ran, I would say nothing less than Nazi Germany. The store is dirty a good majority of the time. The store itself is clean and nice, most of the staff is friendly and helpful however I've had a few bad experiences. The first experience was back in late 2015/early 2016 and I was shopping with my family. We were in line to checkout and the cashier wouldn't bag anything. My sister and I had to do her job for her! The other experience was in 2017 and I was shopping with my mother. We were checking out and we brought reusable bags and the cashier didn't know how to use the bags! We also wanted a book of stamps and that was also a major challenge for the cashier. After we pay and walk away then realized we forgot the stamps. No big deal right? Wrong! My mom went back to get the stamps and some guy started yelling at my mother and the cashier didn't do much to calm the guy down. The cashier called a manager and the sorry excuse for a manager didn't do anything to help alleviate the situation. All in all, good prices, clean store, and for the most part, friendly and helpful staff. read more

Let's just start with the obvious. A lot of the customers in there look and act like they just left casting for Jerry Springer. People DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE THEY ARE GOING. Every trip I have a few near miss hits from ppl either on their phones or in la la land. And yes, it's a constant symphony of wailing kids cuz the parents are so used to it they Zone it out. How lucky for them. The rest of us have to listen to Bryson and Madison scream that they want ( insert whatever stupid thing they want here) And yes they run out of items ALL THE TIME. But what can you expect. Stores run out of things and morons flock to Walmart. Deal with it or go elsewhere which you won't so put a sock in it. The employees are generally nice but sick of ppls crap so don't add too it. Just be nice, you may be the only nice one that day. read more

I am so grateful for the trusting staff at this Walmart. I check out at a self-check kiosk and opted for a $40 cash back. I ended up forgetting to take the money when I left. I knew it was a long shot but the next day I went back to the Walmart and asked if anyone turned in the money. Luckily, I still had my receipt. The manager on duty knew exactly who I was and gave me the money. One of their associates saw the money and turned it into him. It gives me goosebumps to know that OUR Parma Walmart has such an amazing, trusting staff. I am a proud Walmart shopper and am very grateful to that team member that was looking out for me. Had a simple return with my receipt. I was seventh in line! Al should have called for back up but he never ever looked up. He wasted 15 minutes of my day my not thinking or caring. I'd still be in line but Judy came back from break or lunch and jumped right in. Not a good experience. read more

Judy at customer service was a nasty woman . She had the worst attitude, just completely rude. We went up to customer service for a simple price check while waiting in line a young girl came up to Judy, had lost her parents. The nasty woman Judy put absolute no effort into helping this girl. She continued to help customer while the little girl was crying because she lost her parents. Once it was our turn Judy was so rude to us and seemed very annoyed by the young girl. This store is now a super center. Which means more people coming in and less people on registers ringing people out. Why not put in 50 self serve registers and 2 human run ones? It's not the '50s any more. In changing the store layout around they managed to come up with the least intuitive way to organize things. This could be intentional. I went in looking for a lock and left without one because I never found anywhere that could make sense to search for one. Got Browns apparel for $5 so that's the reason for the second star. Let's face it, we have been desensitized to expect crappy service at all Wal-marts and this one is not any different. Still not as bad as the Steelyards one though. read more

Went to the Parma Walmart yesterday and was SHOCKED to find they took away the Handicapped parking to reserve it for Police. Are the police disabled now? I thought they were supposed to be in excellent shape and able to walk for long distances. I guess the truly disabled are of no matter to Walmart or the Police. This is extremely unamerican. This time of year especially is hard for the disabled as regular shoppers won't get out of the way of wheelchairs and displays are in the way-now cops too. Its wal-mart. The knock on it I guess is that its still one of the few locations that aren't yet super centers. So it's pretty much just sitting here. Stock is hit or miss in most situations, which is inconvenient because they're literally a 5 minute walk from where I live. And yet, I'm still there often hoping they'll turn it around. read more

Literally the worst Walmart in Cleveland, it might be tied with Steelyard though. Their inventory is lacking, it's good for just three basics, food wise they don't have much, they aren't a super center. I really have had it with this place....I barely go to Walmart because of lack of customer service, nothing is price correctly, the lines are always long no matter what time of the day because none of the workers want to open more registers and honestly people are rude as heck......I was at Walmart because a family member wanted to go I was pretty piss because I rather spend more and go to Target and get the same thing and get better customers service and less chaotic......We notice mirrors on sale and I grab one and she grab one we saw only 1 sign that said about $5.49 which honestly seems good we didn't think much....The first one she grab had something weird on it like a crack and I grab another for her....We brought 2 the second one appear to have a hairline crack closer to the edge of the mirror which we didn't notice until we got home...Both mirrors we store properly in the car protected....Since it was late I said I'll go back after work this week, well of course life takes over and I was able to get there 2 days later when I got there I accidentally cracked it more which I can admit was my fault but when I tried to explain to the lady with the braids what happened she said oh we have to check cameras to see if its true...I was like ok, thats rude... but how can cameras catch a small crack at the edge weird..... I also said the price is wrong she said oh there was 2 styles of mirrors there $5 and $15 ummm OK? well put two prices there....She was gone for like less than 5 minutes and said oh no it was fine we sold it to fine because the lady in back of you brought a pink one I laugh I said yes that was me I brought the pink one but what does that prove? she didn't say we didn't see a crack which I know cameras can't catch that especially near the edge...I was pretty mad even though I try to stay away from Walmart I have not yet ever return anything before and I guess because I was soft spoken she knew she could do that to me.....I'm pretty sure if I was screaming she would have not treated me that way.... read more

I really have to agree with the bad reviews this Walmart gets. There have been several assaults at this location. A few weeks back we watched a guy kicking cars as they passed by. Seemed like it took their security a long time to respond. Someone finally called the police. This week I was attacked by a shopper. He rammed his cart into me and started threatening me. I quickly went to the pharmacy .... yep same arrogant female pharmacist ... ignored me and then finally called security without even responded to my questions. Here is one non-customer oriented candidate for the termination. 15 minutes later and she still can't get security. I ask the dummies to call the store manager and they are slow to react. The manager came over quickly and then miraculously he got security. I asked security to call the police. They went back and looked at footage and confirmed the guy swinging his cart into me and then swinging around. Police came and reviewed the footage but the suspect was long gone. I went back today around 2 PM and employees were rude and when I asked for security they flat out refused claiming that security was on lunch. At past 2 PM??? Seems someone is sleeping on the job. This big box store needs to close and non-customer oriented employees fired. read more
