Costco.Com or in store is one of my family's favorites. Trouble is sometimes the quantity of good items is too much for me. We definitely get the deals on toilet paper and Kleenex! I'm a huge fan and I love the app. Costco does only take Visa. One of these days I'm going to get a Costco Credit Card. I have membership autopay annually. My daughter goes to the Costco store these days and uses my credit card for whatever we need. I'm a HUGE fan and definitely recommend of there's a store near you. read more

Wow. Every once in a while I'll have an experience in NYC that reminds me why I moved to New Jersey, and/or why I stay in New Jersey. The Sunset Park Costco is why I stay in Jersey. I would give it zero stars if I could; this place is an actual insane asylum. Two floors, yet too small, how is it possible? Hordes of people, but I don't think it was peak busy when I went. I don't understand how this location is organized, and they did have some different items than my local Costco, specifically, it seemed like they had more housewares items. But still, this was the absolute worst shopping experience, and there were flies all over the store, which put me off buying any fruit and made me feel like the store wasn't that clean. Costco Sunset Park is truly a love hate experience for me. The parking lot alone feels like a survival game, with people camping for spots, others ignoring the unspoken rules, cars getting towed, and a pretty high chance someone is honking or arguing. It doesn't get much calmer inside either. This location is two floors, so navigating between levels on a busy day can add to the chaos. Sometimes you even have to wait for a shopping cart by trailing someone to their car and politely asking if you can take theirs after they unload. It used to feel a little sweeter when the liquor store next door was still around before the pandemic, but even with all the chaos, I'm still grateful to have a Costco nearby. This spot caters to a big Asian crowd, so it's always fun seeing the rotating Asian snacks, sauces, and frozen goodies. I'm Costco obsessed in general, so I still get excited over the samples, seasonal deals, random clothing finds, and just wandering the aisles. I do wish their poultry and produce quality were better, but the savings are real. Their return policy is one of the best out there, which makes shopping here feel safe and worth it. The staff here is knowledgeable and helpful. They scan your membership at the door and again at checkout, and I've seen them turn non members away, better to just sign up. The Executive membership really does pay you back with rewards, it's worth the upgrade. Crowd control, though, is basically nonexistent, so expect gridlock on busy days from the entrance to checkout to the food court, especially when it's raining. We usually shop here for rotisserie chicken, milk and bread. We shopped on Saturday for groceries and bought Rainier fruit Envy apples; they were crisp and delicious. We also bought Samlip soft cheese cake (Korean); they are light and sweet and yummy. We also bought Red's cilantro and chicken burritos as well as Red's breakfast burritos with chicken and sausage and egg. We love these burritos. The value and price are good. The service is good. We try to avoid the rush times so we're not sick waiting for a parking spot or long checkout lines. It wasn't bad this past Saturday. read more

Sunflower Oil (not olive oil) is the ingredient found in the "Kirkland organic hummus" What? Olive oil should be used in hummus. The organic label fools you into thinking it's healthy. Sunflower oil is a seed oil and lacks the antioxidant benefits of EV Olive Oil. Won't buy it again. read more

I've been coming to this Costco for many years. Lately, it's been much more crowded, especially on Saturdays and Sundays. I recommend visiting on a weekday if you'd like to avoid the heavy crowds. Maybe a Tuesday or Wednesday. Compared to other Costco locations, the samples here are just okay, I've had better samples elsewhere and they have more samples. Here you can get about 4 samples during your visit. I've never had any problems shopping here or with the staff, everyone has always been helpful and efficient. And of course, I can never leave without stopping by the food court for the classic $1.50 hot dog combo and a slice of pizza. read more

Today was the first time since over the summer that I have visited this location. I used to remember going to Costco in New Rochelle, NY as a kid and exploring the aisles without worrying I can't get back to where my family were. That's not the case in this location. Parents don't let your kids do this cause the Sunset Park location is a madhouse even for adults. Parking is insane, finding a shopping cart is like hunting, & getting into or out the store is like a contact sport. I have tried to figure out when is a best time to shop here but it seems there's never a good time. Parking is ridiculous. The layout as 2 floors makes sense to some but never when the checkout lines and the line to get to the second floor meet. In all the membership & bulk items are worth it but carry an extra dose of patience and less anxiety. You will need that and then some cause shopping here is not for the weak. The selection of items differs in comparison with BJ's Wholesale but you get some things that are unique. Hopefully I'll be able to decipher soon when is a good time but I'll continue going to BJ's Warehouse in South Brooklyn by the BQE where that's not needed. read more

I've been to this Costco many times but today I am going to review my food court experience. I arrived to this Costco on a weekday around 2 pm. Parking was tough as usual at this time but will clear up by 3 pm. You need to wait but you will get one eventually. Going to the food court, I noticed some of the my favorite food items wasn't up to par. The pizza had a burnt cheese topping and extra thick on the crust on all the pies. The hot dog I ordered also no longer has the chewy bun; the airy soft bun broke apart as I was eating it. There was one new item on the menu... the combo calzone. A calzone with the filling that was on the old combo pizza pie for $6.99. Viewing it from the window, it looked dry and over baked but I bet it would be good with all the mentioned saucy filling; a bit expensive though. Maybe be next time! read more

Staffs were friendly. Located in Costco, you need a membership to get in, scan at the front entrance with two machines. Ordered their classic $1.50 hot dog special that comes with the refillable drink. Be careful some of the soda ended up as water and the relish station ran out. It was a good bite to have after shopping. read more

Not much to comment about service as there is just about none. The selection of food is small but it is really only to lure people in the door with the given price. As usual, there is a lot to buy but it is but in a large amount so the value is great if you can finish the amount you're buying. This Costco I would say is one of the worst ones selection wise and it is also super crowded with restaurant workers shopping huge amounts. read more

I live in Atlanta now, but I have nostalgia for the Ellis Island experience of the Costco in Sunset Park, which was a 15 minute drive from our home in Bay Ridge. Within a month of getting married, we had a Costco card (it's yellowed with age now) I was just grateful there was a Costco: it's a lifesaver with kids, especially when both parents work. I can't even imagine how we would have managed without it. Always purchase at Costco: 1) toilet paper 2) paper towels 3) laundry detergent 4) grocery staples that children go through quickly! 5) COFFEE! 6) LINT rollers!! pillows! towels! storage containers! Also, Costco is one of the few remaining good guys while the rest of corporate America becomes increasingly profit-driven and exploitive of their workers. That counts for a great deal in my book, so I am a ride or die Costco supporter. If you have any awareness of what it is like to live on an hourly wage in this economy (or even if you are lucky enough to not know firsthand, but you care) you can feel good about shopping here. And -- if you can't find something in the shop: GO ONLINE!!! Their service for anything you need is first rate. We buy all our electronics there, prescriptions at Costco, and glasses for us & the kids -- we always check first with them for any big ticket purchase. read more

Reviewing the food court new items, but I usually visit this Costco location to pick up a few items when I'm local. The rush and lines here are out of this world as it's the only location in Brooklyn and is busy basically at all given times. If you really want to do a thorough haul, I would recommend going to other locations perhaps in Long Island or even New Jersey as they are larger and have more inventory, more outdoor equipment, even do car servicing. Anyways, for the food items I decided to try the new caramel brownie sundae and of course could not leave without their traditional hotdog. The sundae itself I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with how good it was! Now of course, I've had their ice cream before and many times during my life, but finally a new take on the traditional vanilla ice cream soft serve by adding the brownies that they bake in house and pairing it with a luscious caramel sauce was a perfect and heavenly combination. For $2.99 you can get a quite decent and large serving of ice cream and it was honestly so good I finished the entire cup myself. The brownies are so soft and not overwhelmingly sweet and add a good texture to the sundae, while the ice cream is so buttery and smooth. The hotdog as always a traditional staple, was excellent. I would definitely go back to indulge in the sundae one more time and hopefully they keep this on their menu forever! read more

Whenever I'm in Brooklyn near Industry City, I'll try to stop by. Where else can you get a soda and a hotdog for $1.50? This place is massive, but I thought it was small at first. There's actually 2 stories! The place is a little chaotic, and I think it'd be nice if they did a better job restocking or labeling the aisles. Or that could be their strategy to have you wander around and buy stuff on the way. I'd find some interesting snack on a shelf by itself, but it was on the wrong area and a little crushed. Trying to find the original location for the mini crab snacks was a lost cause since it didn't appear in the Asian section or chips aisle. Lots of free samples of course. I'd probably have to get a car to take advantage of coming here often since everything is in bulk. They weren't too crazy about the check-in like some tiktoks with face ID, but they did block some people from entering without a card. Also, it's odd they have self checkout lines that are manned. This is our go to Costco. Is it super crowded here almost always? Yes. Is every Costco? I don't know. Maybe. I will tell you what this Costco does right though, which is be organized. They are so orderly among the chaos, are staffed appropriately, and if you notice, there is never a long wait...not for checkout, not for food, nor for the elevator nor escalators. They have employees positioned seemingly everywhere who work hard and are ready to help. I appreciate that here and they deserve 5 stars just for that. I am not sure if we can help the chaos though bc Costco does offer some amazing prices on everyday items so many of us do our weekly or monthly shopping here to save and sometimes those delectable free samples get the better of us. :) read more

The most crowded Costco I've ever been to. Especially on weekends, it's insane. From the moment you get to Costco, finding a parking spot, finding a cart, rolling the cart around Costco, waiting on a line to go down the escalator, waiting on line to check out. The lines are massive. It often spans a whole aisle and loops around twice. Try to avoid coming on a weekend if you can. There's a wide variety of stuff but I've never really seen any "manager specials" or any sales besides the advertised on the booklet. If you have time to browse, you'll come across lots of new items. The food court is small and just two staff manning the food court. The one who took my order is courteous and fast. There's also self check out lines also machines for ordering at the food court. Overall: it's the most accessible Costco in Brooklyn and has gotten way too crowded over the years. I try to avoid coming if I can. read more

I love checking out Costcos in different cities. For me, it's fun to see the different types of regional foods that I can't find at my home warehouse. This Costco is especially busy because it is in Brooklyn but the staff do a great job of trying to maintain traffic flow. Here, your cart needs to be taken to a conveyor belt to get upstairs to the food area. Once upstairs, it was a little crazy trying to figure out the lay of the land amongst so many people but it didn't take too long. It was interesting to see things like a Kosher section and items like a "Cannoli Kit," the famous New York Black & White cookies, and a surprise Smoked Salmon Poke Bowl! The milk here is different, too! Singular gallons (I didn't see non-fat) instead of the two-pack we usually get. The milk container here is shaped differently, too - but it fits perfectly into a little side shelf in our AirBnB fridge, which I suspect was designed just for that purpose. Checking out was a breeze but taking an Uber home in all that traffic is another story. We'll try to get back here again while in town! read more

First, this Costco has 2 floors! I was absolutely amazed by this! Cuz who needs 2 floors of a wholesale items?! Me! lol. So my friends and i decided to support Costco because they are supporting their DEI standards, and we love that for us! Apparently everyone thought the same thing as us because the membership line was long, and them cashier lines were even longer! The membership is about $60 for the year, but the rules that Costco has is kinda insane. For 1, payment. Only the card member can use a credit card for payment. Everyone else has to pay cash or debit for their purchases. You also have to pay for everything on one bill, one receipt for each transaction, which i found weird. Because at the end of the transaction, now you have to pull out a calculator to figure out who pays what for their purchases. That part was annoying! Also, all the rules were not explained when we were signing up. The cashiers were rude when we were trying to understand their rules, and instead of informing us, they would stop the entire line to call a manager to explain the rules instead of doing it themselves. That experience was very upsetting and confusing. I'll support because they support DEI, but sheesh! So 2.7 for this location because a lot of the nonsense could've been avoided had things been explained at the beginning of us purchasing a membership that day. read more

I have been coming to this Costco for years. I come here at leadt once a month. The staff is always helpful and quick. The place is big and very well organized. You can find items easily and everything is fully stocked. When going to pay st the registers they have someone guiding where customers should go. It works so quickly. We were assisted and finished in less than 2 minutes, they worked so fast. Its best to get there around 9:15 on a Saturday, as if you get there earlier you will have to wait in a line that wraps around. read more
