First came Jack's 99¢ Store, and now Lot-Less has taken its place. Like most Lot-Less locations, this one carries a huge variety of items personal care, clothing, home goods, kitchen basics, food, snacks, and random finds you didn't know you needed. Afternoons get busy, but mornings are much quieter and honestly the best time to shop. The prices here are great. I've seen brand-name products that Target sells for $5-$10 more, so the savings are real. Apparel is hit-or-miss though sizing isn't always consistent. Same goes for electronics: some gems, some duds. My advice? If you see something you like, grab it the first time. Chances are it won't be there tomorrow. This location is surprisingly big two full floors to browse. The ground level has a mix of apparel with some beauty items sprinkled in, but if you head toward the back, that's where things open up: more beauty products, snacks, and body wash lined up all the way down the aisle. Lot-Less is an everything store with super low prices. I came in today for a notepad and candy. I'll be back soon for at least 4 sexy swimsuits that I spied while I was in line waiting to pay. Lot-Less sells cosmetics, snacks, fashion accessories, cookware etc. There's 2 levels and escalators for the trips up and down. It's a very spacious store and even when the lines seem long, they move fast. Lot-Less has it all. read more

Ok, if you are someone who loves to browse (I'm talking Marshall's, Homegoods, TJ Maxx) you will enjoy Lot Less. This particular Lot Less is super clean, well stocked, huge, 2 floors, and not that crowded. While they do have clothes and shoes, your not going to find brand name items. The things to buy here are shampoos, cleaning supplies, random snacks/candy, and a surprisingly good pasta and canned goods section. They also have seasonal sections, like beach supplies in summer, Christmas decorations during the holidays, etc, If you have some extra time and enjoying a good browsing session, Lot Less (especially this location) is the way to go! read more

At times, I don't know myself very well. It's either that or I speak too soon. I was the first to review this business on their grand opening day and swore I would not return because Covid precautions seemed very lax, even nonexistent. Over the holiday weekend, I took a better look since it was quite empty. Today, I went there with a purpose--I wanted to get a few necessities. Just as my first review mentioned, no one is at the entrance to enforce facial coverings or capacity limit. To be fair, not all stores cap the number of people entering their stores. I was able to buy a few items and felt comfortable because everyone wore facial coverings (it is the respectful and right thing to do) and it was not busy. This store is huge, bright, well stocked and immaculate. I know, it is brand new, but there's a lot of good merchandise. The top floor is divided among men's and women's apparel, toiletries, household necessities such as cleaning supplies, sheets, towels, dishware and more. The main level has a nice food section (I am a fan of the Sophia line, imported from Italy, and includes olive oil, biscotti, pasta, etc.)--cereal, coffee, tea, granola bars, spaghetti sauce, herbs/spices, cookies, snacks and more. In addition, makeup, coffee/crock pots and random items. I walked out buying an organizer for documents. At $4.99, it is perfect and does the job. Something similar on Amazon was $13. I also bought Sophia chocolate biscotti, a BPA free water/lemonade/iced tea pitcher and a few kitchen towels. All good stuff. I like Lots Less for their $2.99 brand name body washes, imported chocolate, high end shampoo and the occasional household necessity. I never bought any clothing, shoes or accessories there, but in the past, snagged a Nike sports bra. Their inventory changes frequently so if you have your eye on something, grab it. Ah, Lot Less. They're the low-cost department store where you find all your household miscellany. I used to go to the one by Battery Park City with my family, so it has a soft spot in my heart. This one is fine. Lots of random things you didn't know you wanted until you saw them. They have clothes and household goods upstairs. I got a neat pair of pineapple shorts for $6, plus some socks. The overall men's clothing selection isn't all that great. They also have every lame Live, Laugh, Love inspired house decor you'd want. Lot of organizational stuff too, plus cleaning supplies, curtains, etc. Picked up a few odds and ends for the house. For some reason, they ran out of bags, so you either had to pay for a tote or go bagless. Thankfully, I brought a tote with me. The first floor has some more houseware stuff and snacks. This is not a great business, in fact, I would not recommend any of my associates or colleagues to shop here due to their store management not honoring their very own return policy. This store is beautiful and has a great selection but is in one of the busiest parts of Brooklyn and has no protocol in place for COVID-19. When I went the store was PACKED! Majority of the people had masks on but that's not enough when you're up on top of each other. Security didn't say a word. That given, I hope they work on that because the store is a great addition to the neighborhood. The store is two levels and has everything from food to clothes and bedding to gadgets and gizmos. I'll definitely be back but once they get a hold on how many people can be in the store at one time. It's just not safe. read more

Interesting mix of cheap stuff for sale here. The location is super bright and has two floors accessible by escalator. I saw some super cheap face masks that I would consider buying. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. For starters this location advertises that they close at 8 PM, however that is in fact false. I was told by employee that I could not complete my purchase at 7:25pm due to the store closing? I was then told by the very same employee as she continued to talk about me in front of me that "We" the customers think that they don't have a life. I am literally appalled. I stopped by while waiting for my lunch. I love going into Lot-Less because they have some great bargains at affordable prices. This location is spacious with goodies packed to the rim. The store was clean, organized, well lit and new. There was two floors but, I was lazy and decided to just pick up some snacks and head out. Quality and assortment of the merchandise has gone down/stagnated while prices are increased. (In all honesty- still good deals though) I would not mind this but when your store (asst?) Mgr Eric - 1-Gets aggravated when you need help 'cause you don't see the merchandise and then 2- when he finally addresses me (3 min later) then 3- trying to insult you/me when you try to purchase said merchandise - that location don't deserve their income nor praise. I've been shopping at Lot-Less locations for years and was even recognized by the excellent cashier/supervisor Brandon bc of my shopping at the 40th St Manhattan location since it opened. This store is beautiful, organized and even has great deals on KN95 masks. My only complaint is because the manager Robert was extremely rude to me. I was advised by the Fulton St Manhattan store on the phone that I could do an exchange with ease as long as I had my packaging with the items being returned. I couldn't find my receipt so I called and asked them. I followed their protocol and showed my items upon arrival as there was no security guard to check in with. When it was time to return them Robert was very unprofessional, didn't even bother to acknowledge me as a customer who'd waited 5-10 minutes for him to come down after they'd requested him a few times, and then said that my return had "3 red flags." When I asked him what he meant he didn't even bother to explain and walked off saying he needed to decide if it was possible. I was exchanging the return and the register was in the middle of the purchase for additional items and we had to wait more. My return with Lot-Less tags had to be approved by his superior bc he was being unnecessarily difficult and rude. When he came back begrudgingly I questioned his "red flags" comment and explained that I was told that the return wouldn't be a problem and he responded "nothing you're saying matters to me or will change my mind!" Basically he told me to shut up. How do jerks like this get managerial positions when they don't know how to deal with the public?! He was power-tripping while wasting my time even though I maintained my composure after trekking all the way from Manhattan to do this easy return while hanging out in Brooklyn. Honestly, Brandon and the other staff members are just as lovely as this location but rude managers like Robert make anyone want to avoid the Court St store. I'm only giving 2 stars bc of the nice store and overall staff. Pretty dumb for him to act like that because I'm a deals blogger.
