Very cute place! Tucked out of the way, though just off the main street, so you can overshoot it easily. I had the complete breakfast, with their signature Basile eggs - I highly recommend! Great service, friendly staffand some good breakfast items, all in a cute destination town. What is not to like?

Great breakfasts served through noon, what's not to like? This sweet restaurant is adorably decorated with bright tablecloths and twinkle lights. Tea is served in neat, colorful teapots. They make their own strawberry jam (it is excellent, and I usually do not eat jam on my toast!). 3-egg omelettes, quiches, pancakes and home made granola are in the breakfast menu. Lunch menu includes the usual variety if sandwiches, soups(house made!) and salads. A nice addition is the platters and other neat appetizers. Iced coffee, iced tea and summerade are some of the beverages on the menu. We were in for breakfast and I had the quiche, while my husband had a make your own omelette. Both were great. The food came out very quickly. Dessert list includes bread pudding w/hard sauce, homemade brownie sundaes, pies and root beer floats. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and will be back!

Cute, cozy, nice staff, interesting menu--what's not to like? We got their quiche--broccoli & ham and asparagus. Delicious & comes with an interesting fruit mix and toast with their strawberry freezer jam--a delight in itself. I'll return.

Southwest chicken wrap with potato chips

This restaurant was very nice and it had a great patio where we could sit outside on a beautiful day. We started with the deep fried asparagus appetizer that was delicious. ThenI got the southwest chicken wrap and it came with potato chips or you could upgrade to waffle fries or sweet potato fries. My friend got The shrimp wrap which was the special of the day. He didn't want the french fries that came with it so they offered him soup, salad or any of the other options. He chose the soup and they had a seafood chowder that he said was delicious.

Crispy and tasty cod fillets, served with fries, tartar sauce and cole slaw, although I was not too fond of the slaw. It's wasn't bad, and I can definitely say I've had worse, it just wasn't very flavorful. The layout of the restaurant is kind of different, like an 'L' shape, and there aren't that many tables indoors, but I think it is due to the majority of their business is the summer/warmer months and people are dining on the deck... and with that said, I would definitely enjoy dinner on the deck. Our waitress was very nice, attentive and not overbearing, although it took her a while to get to our table and the restaurant didn't seem to be very busy... but the host who sat us made sure we got our drinks and menus, so they get points for thinking on their feet and the team effort.

Even though we're locals, we'd actually never eaten there because we've been told not to. We decided to give it a go. Not only did a meal for just two people with one appetizer cost $100 with tip. The food was absolutely horrible. I just had a plain chicken sandwich that literally should've been no more than 12 bucks. My husband had the Italian white fish dish and it was disgusting. He had a bone in his fish and it was basically just a bunch of Parmesan cheese on top of a piece of fish. The fish still had its bloodlines in it, so it was not exactly the tastiest either. His mashed potatoes tasted like all they used was pepper. Thankfully, I can say the french fries and onion rings were delicious and that was it. The water even tasted absolutely awful. Thankfully the service wasn't bad. The atmosphere was so so. I feel like we wasted so much money for absolutely nothing and I can say we will never go there again.

We've tried nearly everything on the menu (some we've tried twice) and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing and the drinks always hit. The orange mimosa is literally the best I've ever had. My 7yo and 9yo also enjoy this place to the point that it's the only place we eat out where they actually will clear their plates (and they order a ton of food here). My son always orders the chocolate chip pancake with a side of bacon and a side of sourdough toast. He finishes all of that then tries stealing the rest of our family members sides of toast. He quite literally asked me recently to make toast for breakfast for him, but he wanted it like brunch house makes it. Oh! We planned to go here last weekend and messed with my 7yo the morning of and told him we couldn't go because the brunch house called and said that my 7yo ate too much of their toast last time we were there, so they wouldn't accept our 7yo as a customer any longer. My 7yo literally "ugly cried" and I had to tell him we were joking and felt terrible. Overall, the weekdays are less busy than the weekends, but if you join the waitlist about 10-15 mins from arrival on the weekends, ur table is usually ready by time you arrive. We like to go right at 7-7:30am when they first open because it's usually only us and a few other customers in the restaurant, so we beat the rush.

Server showed up quickly once we were seated to take our order. After taking it to the kitchen she returned with a coffeepot to keep on our table so we could tend to our refills. With us as customers, that saved her a lot of running. And coffee was good, a bit above average for diner brew. My wife got a basic egg-potato-toast breakfast, which she was happy with, especially since the hash browns came extra crispy as ordered. I opted for "Brad's Skillet", a bowl of hashbrowns mixed with ham, bacon, sausage and cheese w/ two eggs on top. While waiting for it I wondered if it had been such a good idea to order what amounts to a fat bowl, but when it arrived I saw it was actually kind of light on the meats, which made me feel both relieved and disappointed. It was satisfying and didn't need any more animal product in it. Both our breakfasts came with strawberry jam that tasted homemade. I didn't see a notice on the menu that it was, but it tasted for all the world like the kind my mother used to make. With some offbeat (some might say hipster) menu items, Cafe 106 can satisfy a taste for something novel or for some of the old diner standbys.
