I was addicted to their chicken shawarma wrap for a while, but the last time I went in, the worker was yelling into his phone loudly in a language I didn't know and barely looked at me as a came to the counter. I said my name and pointed to the sandwich and he nodded and went back to his phone call. I don't love that, probably take a little break but I will have to be back for the sandwich eventually. ;)

All the portions were massive and so delicious. The rice alone could be like three meals. I ordered extra pita because I wasn't sure how much would come with the hummus and baba ganoush on their own but that was silly because they were very generous! Though I can't complain about extra pita! It definitely added up a bit on price but because it lasted me for many meals I didn't stress too much about it. I ended up ordering for dinner but they do also have a bangin' lunch menu which has some great sandwich and entree options for a smaller price point, like a sandwich and a side or an entree and two sides for around $13-15.

While it was a quiet time, we still greatly appreciated our corner table setting offered, didn't have to ask. Exceptional service by several attentive and kind staff. Loved everything about it. As good as any restaurant we've ever been. Kinda pricey though, yet a higher end restaurant. Soup of the day was excellent as was our main dish and complimentary bread.

The owner was multitasking with her child on her shoulder while answering phones, and her other two kids--one around 4 years old and the other about 10--were helping out, with the older one even bringing out chips and salsa. It was actually endearing to witness and gave the experience a personal, unique touch. The food was full of flavor and clearly made with heritage and heart. We had the chicken fajitas loaded with onions and peppers, and a beef and steak quesadilla that was huge--cut in half and almost shaped like a taco, but incredibly authentic and tasty. We also ordered the birria tacos/quesadilla combo with delicious rice and beans, plus fresh chips and salsa to start. Great customer service for THAT person, but wildly bad service for anyone waiting at you scan. She saw me, and like four minutes into me waiting, she makes eye contact and mouths something to the effect of "just another minute" It took like four minutes to acknowledge I existed, but she clearly knew I'd been waiting a while.... MANY other employees walked by.... at least three, but apparently none were available or trained to jump in. She FINALLY came over.... A woman with salt-and-pepper curly hair. apparently I brought an expired license.... I'm past the age where you legally need to check. I'm in my mid-forties and look like I'm in my late forties. I rarely get carded, and this woman wouldn't sell me white claw. I will go back, but at whatever phase of my shopping I'm in, if I see this woman again, I will leave put perishables back and leave the remainder my cart or basket where it lies. The price point at Busch's is not cheap, but customer service can make it worth while. Without that customer service, there is no reason whatsoever to be there.

I did check the menu online and saw they have sushi entrees and decided to try out the deluxe sashimi platter. It's the most deluxe item on the menu. I thought I should be a good sampling of what they have then. The menu picture looks great! What I got was incredibly disappointing.... Tiny pieces of sashimi scattered on a plate of iceberg lettuce. The egg cake (tamago) was freshly defrosted and still very watery. The shrimp were dried out from being too long in the cooler case and extremely thin. All the fish were such small cuts. For that price, there is no excuse to get that sorry plate of scrap. The presentation was poor. No shiso leaves. It doesn't look at all like the picture in the menu but more like something you might get on a sushi day at an elementary school. Service was novice was kind. Dining room was cozy and cool. Slow even for a Monday at dinner time. I'll remember this and not be back.

The rolls were actually half-filled with rice because the salmon and avocado portions were extremely small. Oh well, maybe next year - but probably not.
