We ended up at Aubree's somewhat unexpectedly. Severe storms with tornadoes had moved through the area that day, and much of Dexter was without power. The restaurant where we originally had reservations was closed - due to no power- and so we walked to Aubree's from our guest house. It seemed to be one of the few places nearby that was open and had electricity. The restaurant has a typical home town mom and pop feel. It was super busy when we arrived, I believe that lots of town folks ate there that night as well after the storm. Still - our server, a young guy, was super friendly and we had a great experience. We ordered pizza, which was really good! My brother-in-law is from Sicily and is very particular about pizza. He normally won't even order it unless he is in Italy, so the fact that he commented of how good it tasted says a lot. :) read more

Zero stars. This review is for Doordash in Dexter/Ann Arbor MI. I ordered a pizza from Aubree's, last night. I've had their GF pizza in the restaurant, and the pizza and the restaurant are great. So, after an early morning flight to DTW, unpacking, and grocery shopping, I ordered a pizza, from Aubree's website (not Doordash). Doordash wasn't mentioned on the site; it looked like Aubree's had their own drivers. I ordered the pizza at 4:21, and was sent a text that it would arrive at 5:13-5:43. I am staying at a home less than 2 miles from Aubree's. When the pizza didn't arrive by 6:00, I texted back and asked for an ETA. The text back said that my pizza was STOLEN, before they got to my house. At that point; I called Aubree's, and they said that I had to work it out with Doordash, and that Doordash picked ip my pizza from their reataurant at 5:13. Again, I am in a home 1.5 miles away. So I texted back and said that I wanted a refund. The texter (Doordash) said that they couldn't issue a refund, but that they "put in a new order for me." Ten minutes later, a pizza came; and the guy literally dashed off. The pizza was luke-warm, with congealed cheese, and was completely dried out. It was my pizza that had been picked up at 5:13 from Aubree's and had been riding around in a car for 2 hours and 45 minutes. I called Aubree's about this, and they said that they couldn't give me a refund, because something-something Doordash. But, the manager said the she would try to connect with Doordash, and took my number. This is completely Doordash's fault; these unprofessional drivers could not deliver a pizza 1.5 miles away, and then they outright lied about it being stolen, and doubled-down when I texted them a final time about the delivered pizza. They would all be fired, if Doordash had any quality control, and cared at all. But, Aubree's has the B2B relationship with them; Doordash is their subcontractor. I can't even contact Doordash directly through this app, not that they'd care. It's up to Aubree's to make this right; they have the power, in this situation. But, I advise against any Doordashing in Dexter/Ann Arbor, MI. They are lying thieves, and likely will leave you in a bind, too. read more

Stopped into Dexter's Aubree's on a busy day in town. The Dexter Ice Fest was taking place in Monument Park right out in front, and was quite the community event! Aubree's was busy but there were open seats at the bar so my husband and I were able to sit and order right away for lunch. Personal pizzas are still quite big, very definitely shareable between 2-3 people depending on how hungry you are. We got the hot honey pepperoni with whipped ricotta and basil. Tasty! With a softer chewier pizza texture. Only thing was there was no hot kick to the hot honey/pizza. Also shared their brussels sprouts starter which was super crispy and very tasty. read more

Another terrible service experience at Aubree's tonight. The restaurant was a 1/4 full . There were 5 people in our group. We ordered 3 appetizers, water, strawberry lemonade, and 2 beers. It took our server Alex over 30 min to get drinks and that would have been even longer had I not gotten up and found the waitress who failed to come around and ask about it. When the strawberry lemonade finally came over, it was carbonated and not the correct drink. The Shirley temple had no cherries and was so dilute it looked clear. Then another 40 min to get 2 pizzas and they brought the wrong size- 2 personal sizes instead of the larges we ordered. Then the manager comes over to let me know the other dinner- coconut chicken strips were dropped on the floor and now they are out of them. So I didn't have dinner. We let her know about our bad service thus far and she apologized and told us she would comp the bill for our service. Ironically, we watched the table next to us also have errors to their orders, just not as many. I overheard their waitress (a different one than ours) say "we also made something that you didn't order. Not sure how that happened. Do you want it?". We are the pizza and waited another 20 min for our server to come back and finally give us the bill and acknowledged that "we talked to her manager and she took off some of the bill". No apologies for the service, or lack of. She never asked if we needed a drink refill, or anything else. It was crazy. The only thing the manager actually took off was the 2 pizzas, which were made wrong anyway. She didn't take off any of the appetizers or drinks as She said she would. Sadly, this was the 4th time in the last 6 months we have had bad service. Prior to that we rarely had slow or bad service unless they were very busy but that is understandable. The food is good (if and when you get it) but the continued and repeated decline in service makes visiting Aubree's not worth the time and money any more. A year ago we would have given it a 5, now I would rate it a zero. To add the apathetic response to feedback and the manager not even following through with what she said "I'm sorry and I will comp your bill tonight for all the trouble" and still Leaving us with a $65 bill, they have officially lost very good customers of many years. In a small town like Dexter, word of mouth matters.... And bad reviews hurt....Choose Dexter Pub if you want an easy and good laid back dinner. They may not be perfect, but they care and they try. Located in the small charming town of Dexter Michigan,Aubree's seems to be the place locals like to go. Family friendly atmosphere. Good drink selection offering alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The menu selection consists of various appetizers,salads,sandwiches ,wraps and pizza. Ordered the pizza rolls which we extra large pepperoni rolls topped with garlic butter and parmesan cheese. Portion was enough to share. Came with ranch and marinara sauce but I wish the sauce was warmed. I got very good carry out from Aubree's tonight. My deep dish pizza (topped with caramelized onion, arugula, and mushrooms) had the characteristic taste and texture I was looking for - crispy bottom, pliant, doughy middle. Decided to check out the Dexter Aubree's. Arrived around 12:30 and were practically empty, then picked up and got busy. Had the lunch special with two tacos and cup of soup. The tacos are microscopic in size. The tortilla soup was great. It does have a slightly spicy kick, so don't order it if you dislike hot food. I was not provided a spoon for the soup, which made life pretty difficult. When I finally was able to flag down the waitress, the problem got resolved but the soup had gone cold. I was glad I ordered the Greek dude salad. It was fine and lettuce crispy. Bill was delivered quickly and plates cleared away fast. I would come here again, even though lunch, which included an ice coffee, came to nearly $18 before the tip. read more

Honestly every time we come here, it's a disaster. First time back in 4 months and it was out of pure desperation because everything else is closed and we already ate at dexter pub today. Service is always the worst, can never find the server, empty drinks, very long wait between visits (I was a server for 8 years, it's not that hard ) and they are uneducated. Terrible at every level - I can believe they are still in business. Just in from a visit to our local Aubreys here in Dexter Mi. 1. Host staff was terrible. Upon entry we were lied to about no tables available outside for our party of 4. Clearly tables were available and it was obvious the staff was not motivated to do the work to serve folks on the patio. 2. Drinks were literally terrible and contained little if any actual liquor. I ordered the Aubrey Breeze which turned out to be an entire glass filled completely with ice and maybe an ounce of liquid in between. 3. My meal of choice was "Personal Supreme Pizza" basically one of the worst I've had in years. If you want to pay a lot for the equivalent of a cafeteria meal then this is a great place to visit. read more

My husband & I were visiting my family in Dexter. Their pizza was good, service was good, and they also have a pretty good beer selection. For appetizers, we got the bacon brussel sprouts (DELICIOUS!) & the cheesy bread which were both good. We both ordered Build your own personal size 8" deep dish pizzas which were both yummy. Service tonight was probably the WORST we've ever experienced ANYWHERE. Took a while just to get a server. Then order taken. Order delivered by expediter who barely said a word, just announced our plates and vanished, couldn't be bothered to ask if we needed anything else, despite a clearly empty glass sitting on the edge of the table. She went off to chat with her coworker. Apparently at Aubree's, expediters just dump and run. Waited, and waited, and waited, for our server to show up and check on things, provide refills. NEVER happened. Watched the other outside server check on her customers MULTIPLE times. Ended up going inside to get my own refill after 20" of absolutely no one. My partner couldn't finish his meal, as his glass was empty as well, and it's difficult to choke down dry food. Server FINALLY showed up AFTER we were finished, just in time to get paid. Asked if I wanted a refill- Um, no, I already went inside and got my own refill. Left a crappy tip to reflect the VERY crappy service. Really pathetic how much this place has gone downhill. I go to Aubree's in Dexter every few years to remind myself why I don't go more often. I live in the Dexter area. I really wanted to like this place. I did not. It took quite a long time to get the attention of a server. Once done, she was pleasant but indifferent. She got the order on the pizza wrong. The food arrived promptly. The pizza was good but needed a few more minutes in the oven. She forgot about the second beer I ordered. The floors and rest rooms looked dirty and neglected. I will try it again in 2028 and see if it has improved. read more

Ok place in the center of Dexter (where the North Point used to be) offering up sit-down Pizza service with an assortment of sandwiches. Nice, spread out place with much of the dining area intact from when it was the North Point Restaurant. Additions include plenty of big, flat screen TVs around...as well as some smaller ones placed individually within some of the booths. The bar area was redesigned and is a little more cozy than Aubree's predecessor. To the food: Not bad. The pizza quality is good, but certainly nothing exceptional. A regular, no frills large (14") one topping pizza comes to 13.49 (11.99 + 1.50 per topping). The crust is good; sauce is not too salty and the toppings are served up well. The only style of crust is hand-tossed. For the group ahead of the pizza, ordered up the boneless chicken wings. They were very, very heavily battered. I would not order those again. Another sampled appetizer was the Artichoke-Spinach dip. Served with regular tortilla chips, it was tasty, but rather loose and too milky. On a good note: Service was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was fair. Interior is modern, but with large, bare walls devoid any real charm. The bar area is smaller and warmer with less of the staleness of the dining area. With the hard floors and bare walls, the noise is pretty high even with a few amount of people. read more

We had heard that this was the place to go for FISH TACOS ...and they were spot on! During previous visits to this restaurant, we have tried other offerings on the menu but could honestly never give Aubree's more than the 3 stars that it is currently rated. Our order came with 4 good sized "tacos" which I felt were more like "wraps" filled with warm and delicious white flaky fish and other goodies including some delicious slaw and jalepenos on a bed of shredded lettuce and tomatoes. A tasty combo for sure. The sour cream and salsa put this delicious entree over the top. For a new twist, try dipping the tacos in a small cup of Aubree's Greek salad dressing. Our server did a good job for us and the multiple TVs provided an ample dose of March Madness for any B-ball fan on Good Friday. As far as I am concerned, there is only one thing on the menu when we go to Aubree's. The fish tacos rate 5 Big Ones! read more
