Felcor had to return Multiple Times to Repair/Replace Unsatisfactory Work that Was Done in the Construction of my deck last year. Felcor installed damaged/stained Trex fascia boards and lattice even though I told Michael Wood the Exterior Product Manager for Lowe's it was Defective and They Should Have Known! Felcor also broke a piece of vinyl siding on our house during installation of our deck and needed to replace it. This is obvious in the photo that is included in my review.

David from Felcor arrived with another worker and completed the job in two hours. They did an awesome job and it looks great. They cleaned up afterward. This is the second job that Felcor has done for us, and we have contracted with them to remove old wood cedar shakes and replace them with Plygem Cedar Discovery siding. I needed to have the roof replaced on the estate house within 30 days for insurance purposes. I contacted Vaz Construction and was connected with Elijah DeSouzs as my project manger. He was the best. Kept in touch with me on a timely basis, always on time for on-site appointments, knowledgeable about the roof products and friendly and kind. We were able to get the job done within my time frame. The roofing crew worked from morning until night and they were great! They left no mess or debri in the yard. If you need any construction work done, call Vaz and ask for Elijah. You won't be sorry.

One guy would be there for three days and then someone new would show up and have no clue what the last guy did. One of the employees painted the bathroom walls without even wiping the walls down after sanding. What a mess and it had to all be redone, which I am sure would not have happened if I did not complain. At one point, I had to tell the project manager that I did not want anyone in my home until I met with him. The lack of craftsmanship, and integrity was upsetting to say the least. Who puts kitchen cabinets in before painting??? Once the job was complete, it took Vaz Construction another month to come back and finish the things that were not completed. Overall the experience was very disappointing, even more-so with the amount of money they charged us for their sub par work.

We knew the game, add in lots of extras so he can spend hours at your home taking extras out to reduce the price to make it look like you're getting a deal. Even if they had come in with the best price we still would not have used then - if you can't trust the first point of contact to respect what you want then what confidence are you supposed to have with any of their team? Update: Sorry Stephanie but I have to disagree with your response. You are right in that we cancelled the follow up meeting - we were told we would receive a 'report' a couple of days after the initial meet - that didn't materialize so we asked to cancel the follow up and just get the quote. As for the add-ons - my husband SPECIFICALLY said we did not want gutters as ours were not that old - Alex added in new gutters, downspouts, leaf guards - why do that when you have been told we did not want them. It's not that difficult when a customer says 'I just want James Hardie Siding in Deep Ocean Blue and Artic White Trim to replace what we have now - measure it up and quote' - where in that conversation does it say 'but please go away and add in anything else you might like to see on our home? I appreciate as a company you have a system of how you do things with visits etc, however, it is not one size fits all - you still have to listen to the customer, and in this instance, your potential customer was ignored. We gave the exact same brief to 4 separate siding companies, yours was the only one that came back with a proposal that listed several things we specifically said we didn't want, or that were added in unnecessarily. This is an account of our experience with Care Free Homes, so we will have to agree to disgree.
