All Gas installed my new gas furnace approx 5 years ago. No heat 3 weeks ago and I called All Gas to come out and they identified the problem. 2 Days later I get an email saying they have decided they will not work on my furnace. They mentioned I made a comment they did not like but I feel the real issue is they are too busy so they made up an excuse to drop me as a customer. I was also confused as they stated I did not have a service contract but my tech said they do not offer a service contract. In 5 years I never received any communication recommending a service contract. So lots of mixed signals and still no working furnace 3 weeks later. read more

Chris from All Gas has serviced our gas furnace and tankless hot water heater for several years now. He is knowledgeable, friendly and makes you feel that he cares about you as a customer. Recently he and David installed a new heating and cooling system in our home. This was no easy task as the furnace is in the attic and the house is on pilings. Getting the refrigerant line down through walls and under the house looked challenging. But not for them! They did a fantastic job. There were no hidden or add on fees. We were charged the price Chris originally quoted us. And I have never seen such neat workmen! They paid special attention to keeping things neat and cleaned up. In 2013 I contracted with All Gas to install a new AC system in my house. The older system would not hold a refrigerant charge and marginally cooled my house. I was very happy with the install in 2013 especially since All Gas allowed me to run required thermostat lines and replace an existing electrical cable. They saved me a bunch of money not having to call an electrician. Since 2013 I have had All Gas service my heating boiler and AC system in early June and was always pleased with their service until this year. Previously I was charged about 1 hr of labor for checkout of both systems. I the past it also included a leak that I had at the circulator pump on my boiler one year. Parts and materials were never out of line with retail costs. In 2022 I was told by the office manager that All Gas was so busy that they could only service my AC system. This should have alerted me to a problem, but since 2013 I never questioned their service. When the employee arrived he went to the unit and the first difference I noted was he sprayed AC coil cleaner on the coils. The second difference noted was he had a piece of equipment to blow back the condensate drain line. Next he went outside and determined that my AC system needed 1 pound of puron. A second warning sign I missed is he brought what looked like a very expensive scale upon which he placed the puron tank and then he hooked up the additional hose to his equipment attached to my compressor. To say he struggled with his equipment and commented on adding the puron was taking a long time is an understatement. Finally he figured out the "problem" and added the puron. Once he was done with this he rinsed off the compressor with a hose and went back inside wiped down the exposed surfaces the AC air exchanger with a sanitary wipe. Upon leaving he presented me with a bill. He charged me 1.75 hours for just taking care of the AC unit. This was the first time I needed puron so I agree some extra time is justifiable. The second issue I had is he failed to tell me 1 pound of puron was $94. I should have been told of the cost before the refrigerant was added. The AC coil cleaner he used had a $20 price tag from All Gas. Home depot offers the same product for $6 to $8 a can. Finally to clean the condensate drain line he used a nitrogen cartridge. I was charged $10 for the cartridge which I can find at many stores for $1 - $2. Moving forward I will no longer use All Gas for servicing of my heating and AC systems. I believe they are taking advantage of their customers by not setting expectations with them to the changes they have made to their heat and AC maintenance programs. In the past a service call was in the $200 range for the heating and AC units. All Gas appears to be in line with industry standards concerning the charge for adding the puron of $100 per pound. This service call was in the $450 range; minus the $100 for the puron it would have brought the bill down to $350. That is still 75% higher that past service calls. read more

All Gas replaced my heating system and hot water heater last week. Chris and David did a fantastic job and I am extremely pleased. When Chris came over to give me an estimate, he spent a great deal of time explaining options including reliability and maintenance requirements. He provide me with a highly competitive price and convenient schedule. Chris and David arrived on time and proceeded to do a very professional job. They both paid a great deal of attention to workmanship. They took no shortcuts, carefully leveling, welding, flushing the system, and cleaning up after completion. It really shows; the installation looks great. Chris then spent all the time necessary to explain operation. He went out of his way to do assist me in getting programmable thermostats set up, not only for the heating system, but also my separate air conditioning system. He made adjustments to my A/C thermostat connections even though he didn't really have to. I really appreciated it. In summary, I highly recommend All Gas. read more

So on Wednesday, I woke up to find an inch of water on the ground of my basement. Turns out the house that I had just moved into had an almost-30 year old forced-water heater/boiler and....just gave out of me. Now, I live in Plymouth, and there really aren't very reputable places in the area that I could go to. I called a couple places, and nobody had anyone available until later in the afternoon. If you've ever had a heating emergency in the dead of winter, I hope you can empathize what I had been feeling. I spoke with Kimberly, who, after talking with the field tech, called me back almost immediately and said that they would be able to make the trek up to Plymouth, where I live, from Sandwich. I...cannot even understand how great this was. She said there wouldn't be an ETA on when they could get up, but it would be soon. The tech showed up less then an hour later. Again, amazing service! Unfortunately, the news was bad, and my boiler was going to need to be replaced. There on site they were able to give me a quote, part information, and the work that would need to be done. The guy, Chris, went through everything with me and let me know exactly WHY it all happened, our options, and how long it might take to fix. Being the dead of winter, we kind of needed to do all of this...stat. So, an hour of descision making, we called them back and gave them the OK for doing the repairs. They got the new boiler in stock the SAME DAY, and told me they would be by in the morning to do the work. Turns out the owner of the company made a house call to do some prep work while I was out, and he was nothing but nice. The work was long and hard, but eventually was finished. They explained everything that came with the new boiler, how to operate it, the warrentee it came with, and that they are just a call away if needed, and I really can't see myself going anywhere else for any kind of heating repair. This business earned the Five Stars I'm giving them. Service, price, punctuality, customer service, and friendliness. Everything. read more

This company came to our house back in 2016 and 2017. Both times they provided good service. In 2017, we were informed that we would need a new water heater and an exhaust motor for our furnace in the near future. They told us they would email us a price for the motor. This we did not receive. In February, we sought multiple estimates of cost for replacing the water tank and the exhaust motor. We prefer to use local businesses, but due to their MUCH higher estimates, we went with Home Depot- who referred us to ARS/Heating and Air Conditioning Services. Recently our furnace again needed servicing. We called All Gas, explained the most likely problem. We were told, "Chris was going to take a pass on doing the job" The reason? We were told it was because we didn't use them for the water tank and motor replacement. When money is tight, as it is in our household, we have to go with the best price. She was very friendly. She had a technician at my home that day. The technician arrived at the scheduled time window. He was not only knowledgeable but friendly and professional as well. Over the course of a year, we worked extensively with them as our house (which we bought in foreclosure after it was neglected for months) needed completely new systems: heat, hot water, air conditioning, and a generator. Where other contractors had refused to do the work or fill out the paperwork or quoted us astronomical prices, Chris and Kimberly give us a very reasonable quote and followed through with cheerful assistance and professionalism. They even helped us fill out the rebate forms! It was a very difficult job given the age and condition of the house and all the unforeseen problems that arise with a historic renovation, but they came on time, did what they promised, and kept to their prices. My 14 yr old air conditioning unit died on July 4th weekend - of course just when the house would be full and the humidity high. I called several companies to replace it but none could send an estimator until August! Finally All Gas said they could send someone on July 28th.......I waited all afternoon and no one came. They called me to say that he got delayed at another job so he would come on Saturday morning between 8 and 9 am. It is now 11 am and no one has arrived........not happy! read more

I have never written a review prior to this date, however, in this case I felt it necessary to do so. I just sold a house on Cape Cod, MA and the only issue was one of the A/C units was not operating properly. I told the buyer that I would have it repaired prior to closing and I did. I live off Cape and my wife still lives in that house. I received a phone call from them demanding payment of $261.50. So my reply was "I will send you a check next Friday as I was unaware until you called that you are a COD only company and was not prepared to make that payment on this day and would gladly pay next week. Isn't that fair? The woman on the other end of the phone demanded it be paid now and if I did not pay now she would put a lean on the house. First of all it would cost them more money to put a lean on the house and they would not get the money until closing. Why would anyone put a lean on a house for an invoice that is less than a week old? Any company that is that desperate to receive payment for a measly 261.50 is obviously in trouble. But, more importantly is the fact that people should not be treated like that and harassed. What if an elderly person needed an emergency repair and was on a fixed income? Would they put a lean on their house if they couldn't pay for the fix immediately? No way. I talk with our customers every work day and I do know if I treated them the same way All Gas Heating and Appliance treated me my customers would go else where and that is exactly what I will do the next time I need a service such as this one.
