But it was convienent and up until today they were always passive aggressive and not worth the energy of getting upset over. However, this morning my wife, 2 year old, and I stopped there to get breakfast on the way to work, and so my daughter could use the bathroom. We were told that the bathrooms are not working and that we would have to use the outhouses outside. My wife commented that she thought this was illegal because employees need to have hot water available to wash your hands before preparing food of any kind (she used to manage at a restaurant). However, she took our daughter out anyway as a accident on the floor wasn't going to help anyone. The second my wife is out the door the clerk starts ranting to ANOTHER CUSTOMER about how much of a bitch my wife is. Goes on for a good 60 seconds about how terrible of a person my wife is and shes such a stupid bitch... on and on. People have bad days, I get that, but this kind of embarassing, hateful BEHAVIOR is not acceptable. The owner and that clerk should be embarassed at her behavior. And the patrons should watch out for the food. The outhouses had no toilet paper, and no hand sanitizer, and no running water inside. Breakfast sandwich with a hint of urine doesn't get my morning going. We will go to the maverik station up the road for better food, better staff and better prices from now on.

It's kind of a big metal two-story industrial looking shack. You might even wonder if you're in the right spot, though there's a sign on the building that says "Rivers Edge Restaurant." The restaurant is upstairs; I recommend rounding the corner to park up at the lot above rather than below. There's a side entrance you'll use, go past the restrooms, round another corner to go past the kitchen, and then you'll finally find the counter. You can order to-go or be seated in the dining area (which is also where there are a few slot machines and a billiards table). The guy running the place is friendly and attentive; he refilled our drinks while we were there. There's a decent number of options on the menu, with some great affordable options. Overall a great experience and a good way to get some food in us to resume our road trip.
