Ordered the chicken salad sandwich (added bacon) with their homemade soup, with a red bull drink on the side, a little pricey until you taste it. They can have my money!! DELICIOUS!!!!! And the staff is super friendly and attentive. Usually eat here once every other month or so but never leave with regrets. Wish more people in town knew about this place. read more

Lovely little spot located just down the way from Regional hospital and serving up some excellent sandwiches, salads and baked goods! A group of us grabbed a number of different sandwiches and salads, all of which were excellent. The ham and gouda was delicious - served hot with some excellent cheese, caramelized onions and delicious mustard. The grinder was also lovely. Their version of a hot Italian sandwich, with some BOSS meats, perfectly complimented by the onions and dressing. The caprese sandwich was reportedly very good as well. No meat, but no problems! All the sandwiches were large and did not leave anyone wanting for more. The potato salad that came with it was some of the best I've ever had, and whilst not a connoisseur of the carb salad, we could tell it contained the most important ingredient....Love! All in all, a great addition to the area and well worth dropping by to check out as you'll probably be back again. read more

We are driving to Tacoma from Texas and trying to stop at local places to eat. Based on the great Yelp reviews, we stopped here for a late lunch. We are so glad we did! Cute place near the medical center, with the most amazing looking bakery items. Derrick took our order and what a super nice guy. I think he is one of the owners. He was so personable. There were families, and professionals in there eating. Such great atmosphere. I got the turkey sandwich and my husband got pastrami. Large and fresh sandwich with delicious vegetables. It hit the spot! And, Derrick brought us a treat before we left. Loved it! read more

Delicious. Worth the wait; we had stopped by twice in the past and they weren't open. So glad it worked out this time. I got the Chicken Artichoke Melt Wrap with Salt and Vinegar chips. Awesome. Kids split the perfect grilled cheese. Husband really liked The Grinder; especially the baguette it was served on. And the BAKERY TREATS! So many beautiful, descendant options. For the price, this place is not worth it. The chicken salad was ok, but a small portion for the price. The gluten free bread was like card board and completely inedible!! The soup was ok but too salty. The pickle was not fresh and limpy. Will not return. Do not recommend. read more

This place is GREAT. We went here and was greeted by a friendly staff. The owner was there and explained how everything is made fresh from scratch and how they, "use real butter" in their desserts! And you can certainly taste the difference. I got a Tuna Salad sandwich on wheat which was truly delicious. The potato salad was yummy. This place has INCREDIBLE pastries and excellent service. The decor is adorable and comfortable. They have sandwiches, coffee, pastries, salads.. it's a perfect little spot! I had the caramel butter bar and I was in heaven. They have a prayer and praise wall which was just sealed the deal for me. Visiting Yakima from Kitsap County. Came in for breakfast burrito and cup of coffee. Place is clean, staff is very friendly and personable, breakfast burrito was fantastic, coffee is hot. The star...the fresh made salsa for the burrito. They do soups, salads, sandwiches, and a selection of baked goods. I would recommend if you are in or traveling through Yakima. This place has pretty good food, however their customer service could use a lot of improvement. The ladies there are rude, never been thanked or greeted, just asked for what I wanted. When we ordered over the phone as a group at work, we got sighs for placing multiple orders. I really enjoy eating here. The staff is all friendly and helpful. Owner and manager are often there. The sandwiches, soups, and salads are always fresh and delicious. The breakfast burrito is just right. Customer service is very important to them and it shows. I prefer gluten free products - their GF sandwich bread is a tad tough, and they don't carry GF goodies consistently. This company change online ordering to only credit card. They will not take phone orders anymore, basically they want you to come to the deli, wait in line and order food...then wait another 20 minutes for your food to be made. If you have 1 hour to waste, then be my guest. Otherwise, forget it...you will be upset and disappointed. The food wasn't ever the greatest, but was convenient for its location.
