Always a great experience here. Ive been going here since I was a kid and its always appreciated to have clean bathrooms and great snacks before a roadtrip. The cafe food is 8/10. Definitely above average than any other run of the mill gas station. Burgers are good but my favorite is the 1/2 beef taco. Hot case is good between 430am to around 6 or 7pm after that its best to order any hot case food at the deli. This is a mini mart/cafe that happens to include a gas station. The employees are always helpful, friendly, and working hard. I appreciate having something so close to the interstate where you can quickly stop in, pick up everything you need and get out. The bathrooms are always spotless! It's a busy little place for a reason. The food is great. My favorite is the beer battered onion rings with the monster burger and a drink for only $9.99, or the gigantic chicken fried steak with the best biscuits and gravy, eggs, and 2 huge pancakes on the side. It's pretty nice to be able to order take out and pick it up at the Benton city exit. One of my favorite places to grab breakfast. So GOOD! read more

The place is a bit seedy, but reasonably clean. PIcked up some local IPA, which is what I really want. They have a cafe and the food looked decent but I wasn't ordering a meal. I checked out the hot food section and wound up buying some fried gizzards. I haven't had those in a very long time and they were really good - spicy, chewy, well cooked but not dried out, and still fresh. Clerk - the curly haired one, was courteous and friendly. They have some interesting finds in their little market, including wheels of canned cheese from some local cheesemaker. There's also bait and some locally made baked goods. The gas prices are the best around and the pumps work great. read more

The burgers are great and the tri-tip is very good. The fry's are the greatest I've had and the meals are filing.

Yall check out this sandwich. Now yes I know there are bigger ones out there but coming from a gas station Cafe I would say this is pretty good. So yummy and with enough sauce to run down your hand, lol. Now I'm sure some will not like the BBQ sauce but it happens. As always the monster burger was delicious(my husband told me so). There are so many selections on the menu I'm sure you will find something you like even if its not this. I walked in with my Red Bull, went straight to the cougar cafe to pick up my Ofer and went and got my 32oz drink that came with one of my meals and walked out the door to my car. A young man with curly hair yells from the door to me as I'm getting in my car and said "DID YOU PAY FOR THAT RED BULL?" I said "this is mine" and he said "okay just making sure" I have never been more mortified in my life! Being accused of stealing when I most definitely did not and in front of everyone in the store and parking lot was very embarrassing. So I hope y'all check your cameras and how I walked in with my OPEN can of redbull and see just how wrong you are. So fucked up, I live in Benton city and your shity and ill mannered employee just publicly embarrass me in front of many people and that is just wrong! read more

I have visited this place for the last 10 plus years. The level of customer service i have received the last 3 visits have led me to conclude that I will not return . I am still upset after my last visit last night. Their Monster Burger is my favorite. Last night, I arrived and ordered a Monster Burger with bacon and I was told my order would take 20 minutes. I told the server that I was going to order chicken wings and chicken strips because that would be faster. And I waited. About 5 minutes later, another customer arrived and ordered 2 Monster Burgers and while he was waiting, he was talking to the manager or cook Doug. This customer was served his monster burgers while I continued to wait for the chicken strips and chicken wings that I really didn't want. The only conclusion I can come to is that the manager chose to wait on the white customer instead of me, a customer of color that had already been waiting. After serving the white customer, he went on break. When I pointed this out to the server, the server had to START to make the order I hadn't really wanted and for which I had already waited more than 15 minutes. I felt very uncomfortable at the restaurant ordering food and not getting it in a timely manner The last time I visited, my order wound up taking longer then what I was told. Then, I also realised that others who had arrived after me were served before me. The cook named Doug prepared others' meals, not my meal and I wonder why. After receiving my food 20 plus minutes later, I realised the fact that this place is somewhere I really didn't want to be. I felt very very uncomfortable . I didn't want to think that the poor service was perhaps related to my complexion, but after visiting this establishment several times I just got the sense that everyone got served before me and I can't come to any other conclusion. read more

Really gone downhill. Since I moved to BC five years ago the cooking has gone downhill. They have high enough prices to do things better. It's an honest expectation to have soapy washer for cleaning windshields especially in an agricultural area full of bees and bugs. The water in those tubs smells so damn rancid it's best not to disturb is unless you want to vomit. Honestly this isn't a destination station, it's a place that only stays in business because of location. Pretty sad really read more

My wife, 2 children and I live in benton city. We have in the past frequented this place. decent food, terrible staff. Rude, snotty, arrogant, selfish people. But it was convienent and up until today they were always passive aggressive and not worth the energy of getting upset over. However, this morning my wife, 2 year old, and I stopped there to get breakfast on the way to work, and so my daughter could use the bathroom. We were told that the bathrooms are not working and that we would have to use the outhouses outside. My wife commented that she thought this was illegal because employees need to have hot water available to wash your hands before preparing food of any kind (she used to manage at a restaurant). However, she took our daughter out anyway as a accident on the floor wasn't going to help anyone. The second my wife is out the door the clerk starts ranting to ANOTHER CUSTOMER about how much of a bitch my wife is. Goes on for a good 60 seconds about how terrible of a person my wife is and shes such a stupid bitch... on and on. People have bad days, I get that, but this kind of embarassing, hateful BEHAVIOR is not acceptable. The owner and that clerk should be embarassed at her behavior. And the patrons should watch out for the food. The outhouses had no toilet paper, and no hand sanitizer, and no running water inside. Breakfast sandwich with a hint of urine doesn't get my morning going. We will go to the maverik station up the road for better food, better staff and better prices from now on. read more
