Pretty standard "welcome to" mural that is brightly colored and has the community that it resides in name. Rather large mural as it takes up the entire side of a decent sized commercial building. Overall a nice addition to one of Lousiville's oldest neighborhoods. Every time I visit Portland I am discovering more and more public art. So that is nice to see.

The mural is part of a citywide art intuitive called alley gallery where local artist paint murals on exterior doors throughout the city of Lousiville. This mural features a self portrait of a woman whom I assume is named Carissa. I assume Thai a person close or someone who has personal meaning to the local artist. Overall it is always fun discovering murals that are part of the alley gallery in the city of Lousiville. Such a great and creative art initiative.

Located in the popular highlands neighborhood of Louisville this piece of public art mural hangs high above another mural Carmichael kids as it's actually at the top of Carmichael's kids. So I'm assuming the upstairs is a different tenant as hunter s Thompson art doesn't exactly vibe or go hand in hand with a children's bookstore. Overall a cool and interesting addition to the rapidly growing Lousiville public art scene. Me and my buddy and fellow yelper Jeremy J has had a fun time going around neighborhoods and finding pieces like this one and learning about them.

I've witness this groups paintings spread throughout louisvilel and the surrounding cities and they are always big, bold and wonderful.
