I purchased a home where she was the seller's agent last year. I waited to write this review to…read moremake sure I reflected on this experience first. I have purchased a home before and it's usually the sellers and buyers who have challenges coming to terms but agents usually work well together to make a deal work. However, Melissa was horrible! It felt like it was her first sale. First, they accepted our offer then she comes back with something that they are now looking for highest offers which makes no sense because the seller already signed the offer. Even if the seller says that, you as an agent, don't communicate something like that because it makes you look unprofessional. Then she also took sometimes a couple days to respond back after we started escrow already over minor documents stating she needed to consult with her broker. Most agents know what to do in a sale and their brokers usually help them move things along quickly. We had to wait a few days to order our inspection because of this. After we had been in escrow for over a week, the house was still active on the MLS as well. She also had us sign a strange document pretty much to say that we won't come back and ask for more compensation, but every agent knows that once the inspection contingency period ends, buyers can't ask for more compensation. Every buyer knows this and that is why they have to rush to get the inspection done, reviewed and requests sent over before that contingency period ends. Maybe it was her first sale and her broker just did not help her but it was the least professional experience I've had with a seller's agent. I'm guessing she just might have been a friend of the sellers because I'm not sure why anyone would use a realtor that would cause them so much unnecessary anxiety.
