A very clean, well manicured and pretty country rv park. Lots of nice people at this big property. Beautiful pool, clean, laundry facility was great. The ladies at the front desk were delightful. We normally stay at state parks but we found this private campground just outside of Lancaster and it was great. Bathrooms clean and the sites good sized. If I travel to the area again I'll stay here. We could hear the Strasburg steam train whistle on calm days. read more

[1019] 10/2019 We saw this place on the way to the Lancaster Outlets. I'm glad we decided to book here as it's a nice peaceful place. We visited in the winter so I do not know about summer/pool activities (if any). The campsite has friendly staff with a nice store that helps you find the basics. There is not a lot of extra parking but our spot was big enough for 2 cars. The campground was quiet which we loved. Maybe too quiet but no issues here. They had a dog run which was great. A space dedicated for larger parties which had a covering w/ plenty of tables. Games ... This is definitely a place we will visit again. read more

The campsites and the facilities are very well maintained, the staff friendly and accommodating, restrooms/showers/ laundry, swimming pool and recreational fields likewise nicely done and clean as a whistle. The BIG problem is large truck noise from Rt 30 (Lancaster Pike), a few hundred yards from the facing hill that the campground is built upon. I now realize that this stretch of Rt 30 is used heavily by 18 wheelers to save turnpike tolls, which is what I was pondering until past 11:00 pm last night, incredulous about how frequently these loud trucks were interrupting the peace and quiet, which was continuously, and resumed before 8 am in the morning. If you are camping in a trailer with great soundproofing you'll love the place, but for a truly quiet and far more scenic setting, check out the Beacon Hill campground and cabins in nearby Intercourse PA, which is where I happily landed when I left Country Acres after my first night despite having already paid for two. read more

Country Acres is one of a very few campgrounds that actually care about their campground and our convenience. They use their money to actually maintain the grounds. Large sites. Clean restrooms. I even located the sewn Amish dolls, I wanted, in their office store for less money than any place else. There are only two things I recommend you do, to make this a perfect experience. Bring earplugs, yes the traffic can be noisy. Especially the semis being disrespectful. Also bring shoes with good soles. Crushed stone can be sharp on soft soled shoes. And... we got a coupon (free) for two HUGE whoopie pies, yes for free! Delicious! And we also made reservations for a free two hour scenic ride through the Amish farms. All narrated and we learned a lot. Enjoy yourselves!! PS. The best pool I've ever seen at a campground. You can walk right into it and not use stairs. Plus it makes a nice area for young ones to play. read more

I found this campground on a long road trip in September. It ended up being the best place I stayed. It is a great, clean campground with great laundry facilities and on-site store and was probably the best maintained of any campground I've stayed at. The maintenance crew was out every day checking things and staying on top of issues. The office staff was wonderful. They were more than happy to answer my many questions related to the area and Amish culture. It had great access to the Amish country sites and the tour arranged at the office was the best one in the area. I hope to be able to make it back soon. read more

We have been coming to the campground for years. It is simply the best campground in the area. Motor Home, RV and tentvsites are available. Really nice beach style pool with kiddie section. Bathouses are super clean, more so than other campground we have visited. Staff is very firefly and helpful. Management and staff on top of everything so if a problem arises, it is quickly addressed. This is a great campground in terms of what they offer and cleanliness, neatness, etc. Showers are great, very nice pool. We tented on a primitive campsite. The only negative we have (and it isn't the fault of the campground or staff) was the noise of the traffic. We have gone to this Campground for several years. All went well not so much this year. We made reservations for holidays . This year according staff there was a policy change but our reservation would be honored. They were not. On two occasions on our arrival our sites were changed. I felt staff was very disrespectful. Campground was extremely nice. Clean and well maintained. Pool area was very nice. The problem came when we were trying to rebook for next year. Apparently you can only book for the exact time you had this year. Ex June 29-July6, we need July 3- July 11 with 2 spots. So now I have to call after everyone else has booked there spots. Again an incovience. Next year those times aren't convenient for us since we still work full time. So unless your retired it won't work for you either. read more

Love this campsite. We've been coming here for the past 5 years usually in April and October. Last year we were here in July. The sites are alway kept clean and the folks here are friendly, from the staff to the other campers. We rent one of the two cabins they have and friends of ours rent the other. The cabins have bunk style beds, a full and three singles. There's a dorm style fridge for food and beverages. And the cabins also have A/C and electric heat for those chilly nights. No bathroom in the cabins but they have two facilities buildings a short walk from the cabins. The facilities are well maintained and always clean. There's a fenced dog park. No dogs allowed in the cabins. And no smoking is allowed inside the cabins. The pool is spacious enough and gets good use in the summer. The campsite is close to the outlets and everything Lancaster. read more

What a great RV park for big rigs and smaller rigs. Very clean large sites with gravel sites 50 amp available, water, sewer and cable tv. We asked for an open site as we have rooftop satellite. Moderately priced with a super clean laundry room and restrooms. Large grassy sites with fire rings for fires. read more

If I I could give this campground 10 stars I would. From the second we checked in to the time we checked out was a wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly they make you feel like family. I could not get over how beautiful and well maintained this campground was, it's family friendly and pet friendly. Very quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to relax and unwind. If you want to explore the area you're only miles from Lancaster, Strasburg and Kitchen Kettle. I wish I would have stayed longer then 2 nights. There is just so much to see and do. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. read more

What an amazing campground! We just checked in and Kathy in the office has got us in a great site, booked a free tour of the Amish community, given me maps to locate some things I asked her about and tomorrow they've got a special breakfast for everybody! You can't beat that! The campsite is located in the midst of the Amish community we back right up to an Amish cornfield and I watched a young man use horses to do some work... I don't know the details. Looking forward to exploring bird in the hand and intercourse tomorrow. Hopefully on Sunday will be attending a Mennonite church. read more

High Quality Camp Ground Went here in early October 2016. Reasonably priced, bathrooms and showers are spotless clean. The store has all the items you need and is reasonably priced. Washing Machine and Dryer is only 50 cents a cycle. I set up a tent (as opposed to RV) and the office set gave us a location with some distance from the next text. A strange but effective mix of city convenience and rural seclusion. This little campground gets the job done. The pool is super clean. The restroom facilities are in very good shape. The staff is very helpful. For what it's worth you can hear the traffic on 30 all night. It's not loud enough to prevent sleeping but it's there. read more

We stayed a week at this wonderful campground in the heart of Lancaster County with all the amenities and attractions of Amish country close at hand. All roads and sites are covered with a nice layer of crushed stone and even though there were huge rainfalls while we were there, there were no issues with mud or puddling. Each site had a nice grassed area with tables and fire rings and all sites were clean. All grassed areas were beautifully manicured, I wish my grass looked so good. Our site backed up to a corn field. The swimming pool has a beach style entry on one side that is wonderful for kids and older people. The play area for children is limited. They have a dog run, covered pavilion and shuffle board. We will definitely be back. The only negative I have is the internet, very frustrating to have to repeatedly sign onto get access multiple times each day, would like to be able to sign on once every 24 hours at most. read more

This was our first camping trip in PA and our first visit to Country Acres. This was one of the best RV parks I have been to. We stayed in the newer section and it was easily accessible for big rigs. We have a 40 foot RV. The sites were large, clean and well kept. We will definitely visit again. read more

We spent a week at Country Acres Family Campground. We had never been to the area before and the office personnel were helpful with any questions we had.The park was clean and quiet. You could look out across a field behind us and see an Amish farmer working in his cornfield. Roads are well maintained but are gravel so bike riding wasn't quite as good as it would have been on a paved road but the perks outweighed the gravel road. We were treated to an ice cream social one afternoon where we met several of the other campers.The free bus tour of Amish country was enjoyable, had a great driver/tour guide. Enjoyed the delicious baked goods an Amish lady and her daughter brought through the campground a couple of afternoons. read more

Not being new to the area, this is our first time to this campground. It's very clean, the grounds are well maintained, and it's very quiet despite the traffic on Rt30. The staff is very nice, helpful, friendly. The pool area is very nice too! It's also a Good Sam park so our discount applies and they have VIP program of their own, and upon checkin we were given a Hershey bar! It's a large spread out c g wish we brought our bikes to go to the pool as the Go Go scooter was not good in the stone roads. The only thing I hope they improve on in the future is restroom closer to the pool, the porta John was not pleasant. We will return to this beautiful campground! read more
