We loved this place! We were in Lancaster on a mini vacation to see the show Noah at Sight and Sounds Theater. That was absolutely amazing to see! Highly recommend going there too. When looking for hotels in the area the Fulton Steamboat Inn came up. We were very intrigued from the moment we saw it online. Wow, we were not disappointed. We arrived at night and as soon as we rounded the corner and pulled in all three of us said "wow". It was that beautiful! A steamboat designed hotel inside and out! There's a small lake with ducks, a playground, a fire pit area, and a nice seating area. They have a restaurant on sight, but we did not eat there. They also have a small gift shop. They did a great job at keeping things looking clean. The free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch. They had the place beautifully decorated for Christmas. We plan to stay there the next we are in town. We have already recommended the place to several people! read more

I saw an ad on Facebook and wow what great place. This is a great place for adults as well as kids We stayed on the 3rd floor, adults only. The room was spacious, fireplace, balcony and even a step to help you climb into bed. They have a pool and hot tub with adult swim from 10-12om. Bar and restaurant are on site. I will review them separately. The koi pond and walking oath are nice addition We sat out one if the nights unfortunately no bonfire but still a beautiful peaceful night. Free coffee tea and cookies in the lobby. Employees were engaging and helpful. This might be a place to come back every year. We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very nice and the staff were great. Nice location and the old timey feel of the hotel was cute. Warm cookies at check in were a bonus. Nice pool and there is an adult only swim in the evening. The gift shop in the hotel is nice. We also liked the restaurant and bar area at the hotel. Good food good service. The area is nice and we liked going to the outlets across the street. I would stay here again. read more

The Inn is a water themed "city" with lots of activities. You can stay on the "steamboat" and enjoy the surrounding property, all with a nautical/boat atmosphere. If you are taking a romantic staycation or bringing the kids along, there is something for everyone. read more

The Fulton Steamboat Inn was a great place for my wife and I. Our daughter came and stayed 1 night and we stayed 3 nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and good size with 2 queen beds. Mattress and linen were clean and comfortable. We did not eat dinner there and took recommendations which were good. The place was great for us going out on the nice back area adjourning a big farm. The problem with the area is Route 30 which is a very heavily traveled route with lots of big trucks. They run all across the area making noise; so I can not hold that against this INN. Breakfast was very good but is not free but very comfortable. I would recommend for short stays which I believe is better than the newer hotels but is more comfortable. Great place to tour the area and see the nearby Strasburg RR; the Caboose Motel; the Railroad Museum; and a very nice model railroad store. read more

10/10 This place is better than Modern Disney Hotels. We got this hotel outside of tourist season, and it has been a superb experience. The aesthetics from the furniture, to the music, to the overall atmosphere, is on point. The tavern and restaurant was pretty good and well priced. The pool and hot tub was needed for some stress relief. The chocolate chip cookies, coffee, and hot cocoa station was just a special treat. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Yes to everything here! Exceeded our expectations. Myself (39), my son(8), and my mom(70) all stayed here and loved it! When we first walked in, we got funeral vibes but then we realized it was more like the titanic and fancy and amazing ! Beautiful pool (no deep end for kids which I like as a parent- only goes to 5ft!) and hot tub- adult only hours if that's something you'd like as well. Restaurant and bar on site to make things easy and you can get drinks to go in plastic cups- about 4-5 great beers on draft. Playground and pond with ducks out front with fire rings, tons of lounging chairs, and covered areas to sit! Mini golf across the road! Small arcade upstairs with an easy claw machine that we dominated yet lost tons of money on the others- super fun! Free hot chocolate and cookies at night, awesome gift shop, perfect room touches with cute shampoo bottles and rubber ducky. You're able to buy a bag of popcorn to pop in your room and rent a movie for free on dvd from all the amazing classics (ghostbusters, the sandlot, big, Mrs doubfire, et ) Stay and have fun and be perfectly content or get in the car and go do stuff. Dutch wonderland is prob about 2 miles up the road. This place is awesome! read more

My room was very nice and clean with a balcony. I would definitely stay again. I only found 1pc of hair in the shower. My room had a jetted tub that didn't work. Which is why I originally requested the room, that's why I am giving 4 stars. The pool/ hot tub area was nice with towels provided. Theres a play area for the kids as well. Visit Dates: Saturday May 28, 2022 to Monday May 30, 2022 I got roped into a Memorial Day family vacation I didn't want to go on. Maybe more like aggressively bullied by my sister. Sometimes I get along with my family, many times we're dysfunctional and I can't stand them and they can't stand me either. So my review of the inn might be colored a little due to not really wanting to be on this family trip in the first place. I insisted on my own room and I was going to pay to stay in a different hotel a block away but my sister said she would put my room on her credit card because she wanted me stay here with my family. The room was nice, two big double beds, a desk to write on and use your laptop on, a fridge, a nice size bathroom. There was a pool which my son enjoyed swimming in and a hot tub he liked too. I didn't like the steamboat/theme. It was kind of hokey, I didn't like the steamboat music they played throughout various times of the day, I didn't like the cramped feeling I got from the lobby and walking through the hallway that was supposed to mimic a steamboat. So I guess I kinda liked it, I didn't enjoy being with my family or the theme but as a hotel the rooms were nice. read more

Stayed here last summer to have somewhere to stay with a pool while my friend and I explored the area. There was currently a heat wave so the pool was essential. Late in the afternoon we decided to go to the pool but it was closed. We inquired about it and the receptionist told us that the pool was closed for a while because they were fixing something, but would be fixed by the end of the day. The following day, we tried again and it was still closed, this time another receptionist said they didn't know when it would reopen and didn't know why it was closed. I spoke to the lady manager (can't remember her name as this happened last summer) and told her that when we checked in, no one said anything about the pool not working when we asked about it. She didn't have an answer to that. Asked if we could get a discount or something since the pool was the main reason for us choosing them during this heat wave. She said that the pool issue was out of her control and nothing could be done about it. Sadly, as we discussed this issue, a little boy about three years old wearing swim trunks happily hopped towards the pool area with his mom. Suddenly you could hear him shriek and cry out asking his mom why the pool was closed. He cried loudly all the way back to their hotel room while his mom tried to calm him down. Apparently no one was informed about the pool being closed down that weekend as people made comments throughout the day about how hot it was and not being able to use the pool. Besides that, we have no complaints about anything else. Their chocolate chip cookies are amazing, the accommodations are nice, and the restaurant food was good. read more

this was the most random thing to drive past so of course we stopped and had snacks and drinks in the bar. the bartender had short purple hair and was very nice ! we had french onion soup, a house salad and mozzarella - everything was good. the soup was a bit over seasoned with oregano, but otherwise good ! read more

Stayed over for Thanksgiving . Rooms are clean Decor is nice,( like nautical meets old money?) Coffee and cookies in the lobby, adorable gift shop. They sell a lot of rubber ducks which the kids loved ( I assume a nod to the duck pond they have outside) Thanksgiving dinner was standard fare but delicious. read more

Stayed here 4 days and highly recommend this place! Not only is it unique, it is very clean and well maintained. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The indoor heated pool and jacuzzi were a nice plus and just a quick walk from our room! We really loved the free cookies and coffee, tea and lemonade in the main lobby! We didn't try the restaurant but the menu that is posted daily looked really good. Huckleberry's Tavern which is just off the Restaurant had some delicious specialties and great local brew on tap. TV also there for the game! Right down the street is an excellent diner (Route 30, see our review on Yelp.) The Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market and Lancaster Market are less than 10 minutes away for fresh fruit and local delights! CVS and Target are also near by! They also have an on-site laundry. Wash is $1.75 and Dry is $1.75. Big machines so full loads are doable. Bring your own detergent, fabric softener etc. Or get some at the Dollar Store down the road. The Gift Shop next to the main lobby sells it too. If you're feeling up to a beautiful scenic drive through Bird-in-Hand and Intercourse, Shady Maple Smorgasbord is about a 30-35 minute drive! I stayed here for a girls trip over Memorial Day Weekend 2023. We had a blast and loved the feel of the steamboat. It's a large property with a huge playground, pond, ducks and koi fish. The indoor pool and hot tub was a plus and a great place to gather. We ate at the hotel one morning for breakfast and it was good and reasonably priced. The only issue I had was that I arrived late on Thursday around 1130 pm and the room and key I was assigned was already taken by another guest. I was completely shaken when an angry man came to the door asking what the he11 I was doing. I went back to the desk and was given another room. I was disappointed that the hotel didn't make their mistake right by given me some sort of discount. read more

I was very excited to stay here! It's such a fun vibe, and they went all in on the theme. It starts outside, as soon as you pull up to the building! There are lots of things to do here, from the pool to the fire pits. The top floor is adult-only, and you can even go outside on the "observation deck."The room was a little dated, but the bedding and bathroom were clean. We enjoyed the pool and loved that there are adult swim hours later at night. The free chocolate chip cookies were a surprise and delight. Our room was the only one with a handle on the exterior door, but it didn't open. Not sure if that was intentional or broken. In addition to it being dated a bit, a couple of things kept me from giving 5 stars: -Our room was on the first floor, right behind the check-in desk and across from the elevator. When a whole tour bus of people gathered to leave early in the morning, it was quite noisy. -The arcade room had such a strong mildew smell, I couldn't stand being in there. Overall, I'm glad we stayed though because it was a fun experience. read more

This place is odd. The lights are so bright when you walk up, reminiscent of Vegas. The place seems like it's family friendly, since there are rooms with bunk beds and a playground outside. However, the place is LOUD until at least midnight on weekends. People were in the bar, shouting, drinking, then walking down the halls loudly. The person at the desk said that's just the way it is there on the weekend (they should have warned us when we booked our room, because we were actually there to sleep). As soon as the loud people went back to their rooms, the smell of marijuana came into our room, strong. The rooms by the pool smell really moldy/musty. The rooms at the other end still have visible dark spots on the ceiling in the bathroom. The pictures of the rooms look updated and clean, but they don't actually feel as nice as they look in the pictures. The lobby and halls and gift shop look old, with colors that don't match the rooms at all, and with old-fashioned rugs, and the decorative style is cluttered, confusing, mismatched. I think this may be a good hotel if you like to party and don't care about the decor, but it isn't great for a family with kids, in our experience. 2 Stars only because the beds seemed clean and there were dvds to "rent" (free) which helped us to drown out the noise a bit for our kids, though we would have liked to go to sleep earlier. read more

Wonderful meals and service in the tavern and Huckleberries restaurant! Also want to give a "hats off" to Matt, our wonderful waiter! Another great three-night stay at the Fulton Steamboat Inn for our family this year. Went with a King bed + bunk bed again and this time we were on the far end of the second floor and the bunk was in an alcove, which was awesome. Gave our toddler a more separate area almost like her own room. We requested a bed rail from maintenance, which was delivered promptly. I noticed the chocolate chip cookies in the lobby at check-in time were plentiful and constantly refilled this year. The playground has been given a beautiful refresh (although it was fine before) and everything looks well-maintained. The on-site restaurant, Huckleberry's, is the only thing that is just ok. We've had breakfast and dinner there. It's fine, but it's not special in the way so many other things are here. Feels like a generic hotel restaurant. The menu is more or less home cooking/comfort food. We've gone once each stay out of convenience. Guests get a 10% discount. Guests staying on the 16+ sun deck level get 15%. Kids who bring their paper hat from check-in get a free sundae at lunch or dinner -- a hit with my kid! read more

Such an amazing place. We felt like we were set apart and on a real steamboat. We stayed on the third floor (adults only) . Our room was absolutely beautiful. We were able to swim until midnight . Adult only swim 10-11pm. We had an outdoor fire at the fire pit and made s'mores. The tavern was wonderful, bartender very friendly and the drinks very good. Huckleberry tavern breakfast was equally amazing. Lots of food, very affordable. The setting of the whole place is exquisite. We loved everything about the place. read more

Our stay this week was excellent! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Tavern and restaurant food very delicious. The area was very accommodating for touring Amish country by train and bus, shopping Amish products and eating at Amish restaurants. we couldn't say enough about how pleasant and courteous the Amish people were to us while visiting. The outside pond has great sitting areas with fire pits and Adirondack chairs while feeding the ducks. Would recommend Fulton Steamboat Inn to anyone interested in visiting this area! read more

I Surprised my best friend, by taking her out to Lancaster to see a sight and sound show for her birthday spent the night in the inn. Our room was spotless. Our beds were comfortable. We had a great breakfast in the restaurant. The staff that were there was very friendly. The person that worked at the desk in the hotel was extremely nice and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are going back again next August to stay at the inn and see another show. read more

Fulton Steamboat Inn is one of my favorite places to stay because it's so out the ordinary, rather campy and fun. The rooms aren't all that great, but clean, spacious enough, and more than adequate. They also have a rather decent restaurant, nothing exemplary in food offerings but better than most in the Lancaster area, an area more known for its Amish subsistence type foods than for fine dining. When I stay here, the thing I really like are the ducks. They have a whole troop that often venture right up to the front door of the inn or waddle around the parking lot. They are more than friendly, fun to feed, usually have some young with them that when they get somewhat disoriented will end up following you around as if they think you might be their mother. We usually try to find a nice, clean, and inexpensive place to stay. I use multiple apps to navigate and find the best place and I surely did! When we arrived we found all the kitsch you can imagine. The hotel is stocked with antiques or at least pretty good replicas. They do their very best to make you feel like you are on a boat. The hotel has a bar and restaurant. They have a pool and a game room. The game room sucks. The kids at the front desk lack experience but still do an OK job. The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was firm and there were plenty of pillows. The bathroom was clean and had soaps and such. There is a moat around the hotel and it has koi fish and large gold fish. Pretty rad! There is a walkway to the convenience store so it's super close by. Also there is mini golf across the street. Lots to do! We will def stay here again. read more

This themed hotel with nautical decor is nicely done and present throughout the ship, I mean hotel. It is somewhat dated, but the furnishing appears to be top quality and actually elegant in our single sundeck room. The room is spacious enough to never feel cramped and compelled to go for a walk for exercise. The balcony includes chairs and a table, perfect for drinks, reading, or just private time. For senior couples it is a vert inviting place with nice restaurants, walking paths on property, and an attentive staff. One drawback, the 4 pm check-in (like most hotels) is so late, given the 11am checkout time. read more

The nice things you need to know, when you stay at the Fulton Steamboat Inn. We booked here for the New Year's Eve weekend after previous noncooperation from another nearby place that we have stayed at in the past. Nancy the manager was very accommodating when making the arrangements with my friend. Kadeem greeted us at the front desk and was obliging and helpful too. Ever been on a cruise or boat trip? Either way, this is what it feels like when you come in. It is centrally located near outlet stores and not far from American Music Theater. The place is clean and comfortable. Something to know, Ask for a Captain Club member card. It gives you 15% to 20% off gift items, and restaurant cost as well as discounts for future stays. The gift shop had a really nice selection mix of items. Christmas items in the gift shop were 50% off, of course no double dipping discounts with the card at that time. The robes they had for sale were plush spa style. One thing I suggested for adults' sales, were polo shirts, having the emblem of the Fulton Steamboat on the pockets, much like what one sees "crew" wearing on a cruise ship. A must, weather permitting, is the self-given walking tour outside by the (back) stern, of their little "moat". (See pix) A family spot with a playground, multiple photo spots, a pond with ducks and a few other birds, a look-see all the way around the property with fish, flora and fountain. Card keys give entrance to room and pool. Didn't see bellhops. To find the carts to bring the luggage, one must head toward the Port side near the souvenir shop, go down the hall on the right and step into a room before the restaurant. Tis the season, there even was a postal mailbox there for letters to Santa. The restaurant was a small size dining room with pleasant helpful staff as Iliana and Dianna. Particularly when I needed some milk for the coffee or a knife and butter for the muffin I had brought. Our room was clean with comfy beds and plenty of pillows. The showers and bathroom worked well and the setup we had was with two sinks. Found housekeeping staff Christine and Shirley were sweet as well when needed extra towels and husband was sleeping in the room. No room-service available, but there is a fridge and microwave hidden behind the cabinet doors and a small coffee maker with cups and the usual packaged additives. Sink water to fill the carafe or purchase a bottle for 50 cents at the gift shop or 1.50 in the machine. There is also fresh coffee or alternately; flavored water served in the front of the "sign in station" (front desk) starboard side, sometimes, even freshly made chocolate chip cookies, if you can get them before they are gone. Clocks need help. There were no military nautical clocks that might be on a boat and the few clocks that I had seen were not working, particularly the one in the pool area. Clock problem prevailing, the alarm in the room went off at 6am- 06:00. Problem is, we had not set the alarm and were not pleased to have it wake us up early when we could have slept. Apparently, it is an item that housekeeping staff does not check when people leave. Point in fact, check it before you go to sleep. The pool in the (front) bow of the boat/Inn- is a neat little pool up to 5 ft. and a hot tube. The murals on the wall, also nicely depicted with one of local places to visit in PA and the other of a "Tom Sawyer" style imagery. They even have a self-regulated chlorine dispenser machine in the back which keeps the water clean and level, and a sign noting adult swim from 10pm-12 midnight. Then, there is Joe who I met putting fresh towels in the racks at 8am when the pool opened. A friendly knowledgeable man who has been working there for some years. He even gave me the name of a local Italian restaurant called Carrabba's Italian Grill to check out. His most interesting fun fact - Some of the kids come in and ask; "When does the boat leave?" This hotel is beautiful. It has a Victorian style in the rooms. It reminds me of The Titanic (how the rooms were as beautiful as it was in the movie) I love the pictures in the hallways & the music playing at the right level in the hallway gives it a great touch. At night-the sights on the campus are breath taking from the gazebo to the lighted water fall. You have to stay! I can't wait to taste breakfast. Hubby & I will definitely be back soon! read more

Disaster checking in - my daughter made a reservation and prepaid through a reservation site. Even with confirmation number they could not find our reservation. Finally we agreed to just pay for a room and my daughter could dispute with credit card company. Lady at the desk said "this happens all the time" and that she got scammed. My daughter cancelled her credit card and we spent the night. The room and facility was lovely. A few days later we received a messaged that said Bri had found our reservation and they would refund us. No apology for the hassle or sympathy just "next time tell her to book directly through us" read more

I definitely recommend this hotel! It's beautiful (out and inside), antique furnished, good service, clean and there were almost everything we need in the room: hairdryer, frigobar, microwave, soup, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, coffee maker, iron with iron table! Great localization. Outside there is a beautiful lake and good view of the fields. Fortunately, we stayed in other side of the pool which is good because of the smell of chlorine in the hall. So if you won't use the pool like me, I suggest ask them to reserve the room in the other side of the pool. read more
