There is a sofa and a reclining chair in the room as well as a desk and rolling desk chair, meaning there are plenty of options for relaxing in this spacious room. We loved the wet bar that is included in the room as well and the large windows. They offer a free breakfast that includes several options including made to order eggs. When in the area we always go out of our way to stay here.

There is an elevator to get upstairs. The bathroom worked fine for me. I have mobility issues and walk with a cane. There are bars in the bathtub, but none around the toilet. There is a bath seat. The shower is amazing actually and the hot water plentiful. One thing to be aware of is that the elevator is small and a bit old. It has gates and all. It only holds two people, so a large wheelchair or heavy mobility scooter might not fit. The room itself is really comfortable and I was happy that the beds are not super high. Breakfast is provided in the Harvest Cafe. There are 4 or 5 choices. If you stay over on a Saturday night you get a shopping coupon to use in the Village since for Sunday since the Village is closed on Sunday. The customer service at The Inn (and the Village too) is amazing. Everyone we met went above and beyond to be helpful. Since the Village is closed in the evening and on Sunday, you can be sure that it will be quiet. I'll be back there for sure!

They also have free coffee available around the clock at the desk, and the coffee pods in the room were stronger than your average hotel room coffee. Shower had good pressure and temperature, and it was quiet enough for a decent night of sleep. Only weirdness is someone's home is right next to it, and so we could see into his "yard" from our balcony, but there's privacy barriers so that no one can see you and vice versa if you're sitting. We stayed in January 26 and was advised that the hotel was only 10 months old. It's still definitely has a new feel. They do offer hot coffee 24 hours which is nice. The breakfast was OK, the staff working at the breakfast, felt like they were staring at you. The front desk gentleman was mopping the floor when we went to leave. Barbara and Eli ( hosts ) were welcoming, gracious, helpful. Their daughter Becky is the person we spoke with to make our reservation. If I had to leave a message, she always got back to me within the hour or less. A lovely family. Our room was lovely, the property is beautifully designed, flowers everywhere, and very well kept, you can see the pride they take in it. Have to say the area, Amish & Mennonite, is absolutely stunning. We hope to take another, longer road trip next year.... this B&B will be on the list of places to stay. Highly recommended!

We went to the cafe, the farmers market, and the restaurant. Didn't even see one Amish person. We were very pleased to head out to Amos Millers Organic Farm instead. I would not recommend Bird in Hand but I give Amos Miller 1000 Stars. He is Amish, sells Amish food and has the good old Amish hospitality.
