What a great find! We've owned our cottage since 2003 but only moved here full time in 2020 and I'd never been to Country Fare Restaurant. Went with my husband and another couple today. Vast menu choices, plenty of food, and all beautifully cooked. I had the Green Monster Omelette and it was delicious, as were the home fries and raisin toast. My husband had The Chappy with a side of pancakes and there was so much food that he left an uneaten piece of bacon on the plate! Felt incredibly welcome even though we were in at 1 pm had egg white omelette which is small in other restaurants and Irish Benedict. Was hot , delicious, and presentation was perfect. Totally reasonable price! Think we have found our favorite breakfast place down cape!!! read more

We loved this place and will be back. Great service and friendly staff. The food was served timely and hot-- plus it was delicious. We loved the larger sized coffee mugs! The restaurant has an open feel and it's bright lit. It's easy to over look this place as it's in one of those older plazas set off of Southbridge. We heard this place was under new management so we stopped in to check it out. We had been in yrs ago just once and I honestly can't remember the decor, but it's so cute in there! Very clean and smelled so good! (bacon & muffins came to mind). Our server Tricia deserves a special mentioning! She was right there to seat us and offer us coffee. She was super friendly and knew the menu with no hesitation. She came back to refill our coffees and check in a few times. We learned She had been with the previous owner and stayed on with the new management.( lucky them to have her)! I had the most delicious omelet - loaded with veggies, crispy bacon - n cheese & cooked perfectly with a side of GF toast. The rest of my group loved their meals too, One of them tried the "Mr. Kelly" 2 poached eggs with corned beef hash on an English muffins topped with Hollandaise sauce. He said it was delish & finished it all. The other got the Green Monster - avocado, spinach & swiss topped with Hollandise sauce, He raved about the flavor and great portion size. I noticed they have a fruit smoothie bar and acai bowls which I definitely will try next time. A small bonus besides the GF toast is they offer almond milk for the coffee, not something that other places have. Bossy but wonderful staff managed to seat 11 of us on a Saturday around noon. They weren't serving lunch food, only breakfast that day although we're not sure why. It took about an hour for our food to come out. My chocolate chip pancakes (yes, I am still a child at heart) were wonderfully chocolatey and extra delicious with the slab of butter on it. I asked for fresh fruit which wasn't in the menu and still got it! My daughter got a grilled cheese and it was still breakfast time. I asked for hot tea and got iced but I don't blame the waitress as it's hard to hear wearing masks! We weren't going to go as I read reviews but I'm so glad we did go! Wonderful service and best pancakes I've had in a long time. Owner Paula was amazing despite a challenging day.

Came in expecting cute local diner and met expectations. However, the wait was terrible, we were seated right away, but it took 45 minutes to receive our drinks (because the owner insisted on serving us herself) and another 30 to place our orders, even though it wasn't too busy. The people at the tables around us took just as long and everyone gave incredible service EXCEPT for the owner, who was clearly the cause of the delay. Outside of yelling at every employee there, who were doing a great job, she gave every customer an attitude. Clearly she needs to be out of the kitchen and let the very competent staff run the show. If you are in a rush, do not eat here. Other servers were great, food was great, owner was terrible. read more

This is a great breakfast place. It gives you the true diner feel. There was no wait and service was fabulous. All of the servers help each other out to give you the quickest service possible. Being a Benedict buff, I got the Hemingway, which was eggs Benedict with a crab cake and spinach. The hollandaise was perfect. They make amazing crabcakes that I'm sure taste delicious in anything on the menu. Then they just have all your basic breakfast foods which are fabulous as well. The Country Fare was our "go to" place for breakfast for the entire week we spent in Falmouth. The waitresses were friendly, quick to serve us, and had no problem with making substitutions or special orders not listed on the menu. It was sometimes difficult to keep from singing along with the music being piped in; we grew up in the Sixties, so much of it was "our" music. I can't speak to their lunch menu; we generally ended up eating lunch in places like Worcester, Salem, Yarmouth, and so on, but their breakfasts were a great start to our day every morning. read more
