Not only did the owner of this shop stay open just a little bit longer to make my family the most amazing sandwiches, he also gave us ice packs and spreaders for the dips and crackers we got so we could enjoy them on the beach. I can't say enough about how much that meant to us. Some of the most amazing sandwiches I've had In a long time. The ham and cheese sandwich had a mustard that I will be thinking about for the rest of my life. If you're in the area - definitely check this place out.

Excellent selection of cheeses, charcuterie, artisan breads and gourmet meats

We returned this visit on a very hot day and with very busy downtown, so parking close was a must. Sadly, there was hardly any parking at all so "nearby" became only a wish. It was quite a hike to this shop. But it was worth it. We had already eaten lunch and our goal was a French pastry each for dessert and the option to sit inside in the cooled room to eat. We found 2 seats at the nearby eating counter and enjoyed the sweet snack. The line was exceptionally long so it did take a while to get our treat. You need to browse the case as you wait in line and be ready to order as you reach the front of the line, which luckily parallels the case, affording a decent view. The staff member, who has rotated back to the front of the staff line, will pull what you want from the case, bag or box it as appropriate to the pastry, run it to the cashier and then return back into the staff line. When you see the staff member do that, turn yourself around and head to the cashier line and pay. Then find a place to eat. If it is completely full inside, there are benches outside, across the street on the library lawn. We have done that in the past. Be sure you get your drinks from the cashier because getting back in line to order them later is counterproductive to having a nice time. This time I ordered a berry custard tart and my husband ordered the pear caramel custard tart. The crust was beautifully made, as always, all classic French flavors filling them. There are breads and pastries of all kinds from croissants to eclairs. Most people order a lot and take out in a box for entertaining or a group waiting for them somewhere else. Honestly, when it's this good and this beautiful, and this crowded, I never even looked at the prices. It was worth whatever it was.

Deducted 1 star because the majority of the seating is outdoors and should be wiped down. The café has a laid-back vibe with cute outdoor seating that's perfect on a nice day. It does get busy, and the parking lot is small, so plan accordingly. The menu has something for everyone, including specialty coffees, fresh egg sandwiches, muffins, flavored lemonades, smoothies, and a few healthy specialty bowls. You can also order ahead, which is a huge plus when there's a crowd. The staff is mostly teens and college students, and they were friendly and kept things moving despite the rush. Our food was prepared fresh, came out hot, and was absolutely delicious. Overall, it's a lively neighborhood café with quality food and a welcoming atmosphere. The only downside is the limited parking and the popularity, but it's easy to see why so many people keep coming back.

(Secret: It is in the roasting and quality of the bean itself, as a competitor once told me, and with this knowledge, it can taste just as good as a regular bean.) Many people are medically restricted to decaf, so it is not a choice for them but a necessity. This location in Falmouth has been my Cape Cod Starbucks for years. It is located in a former bank building, along the extension of Main St, to the east of downtown. The parking is easy, there is a drive-through too and the staff has generally been very good. I always go in as I like to meet staff and like to see the interior condition. It tells me a lot about the customers and staff. I was able to order my favorite drinks that I get when at home, while on vacation. I know that the products will be as close to what I normally get since the components are the same. The staff has been similarly trained and as a former retail manager, I always hope for consistency within a company, no matter the product. My career was not in food or dining but the experience is similar when facing the customer with a product. This store has done a very good job. Most of their customers are here on vacation, but I can clearly tell when a local regular comes in, from the welcome reception by name. This is a great sign of a well run shop. It's what I get when at home, too. They sell quite a lot of company merchandise and this time I decided to purchase one that I will never find at home at my local store. The souvenir mugs included a particularly pretty one featuring Cape Cod designs and since I am not sure I will be back, I decided to buy one here. It was worth the value to me as a reminder of a place I have visited for years, even before Starbucks was founded. As in every busy coffee shop, bathrooms are the least reliable part of the location. This one varies from time to time but it is always at least "acceptable." If I find myself back in Falmouth, yet another time, I will return to this shop for my morning Decaf Americano.

I feel like in the last couple of years, it has gotten worse. No matter the time of the day, and the even if there is only a couple of customers in there, it takes forever for our drink order to come out. Today, we got there in the morning, and a handful of customers were inside. Half waiting for their orders, and half waiting to place orders. We ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches and a couple of hot drinks. The sandwiches came out within 5 minutes, but then, we had to wait what felt like 30 min for them. The number of customers got bigger and bigger during that time, around 10-15 people waiting around for a long time. I think they need to do better job at staffing this location during busy hours.
