Drove a ways on a Thursday morning with a group hoping to get breakfast sandwiches and burritos. The place is locked up.

I spotted this lovely exterior of this house from the Falmouth Market, right across the street. They have an ice cream shop to the left, I have been to the ice cream shop a couple of times, but I believe the cafe is still kind of new, as I never noticed it before when I visited the ice cream shop in the past. The ice cream shop and cafe share the small dining room. They have nice, comfortable booth seating, with lots of memorabilia everywhere. It is very cozy and homey. The cafe is to the left of the dining room, and the menu is neatly written on the large blackboard. They serve breakfast and lunch, and the menu with description is all there. They have a water tank there if you want water instead of coffee, or in addition to whatever you are drinking. I always appreciate a place where they offer free water that is easily accessible. We ordered Sweet Potato Hash and French Toast for breakfast. The portion of the sweet potato hash was pretty big, with lots of fresh arugula. The sausage patties were good size too, although it was nothing really special, but nice and comforting. French toast was much smaller in portion, and didn't look like Portuguese sweet bread as described... Overall, it was tasty but not amazing. We did like the cute little cozy cafe. The food is not amazing or incredible, but comforting and affordable. I liked the atmosphere more than anything else. They don't have a big breakfast menu, but have the basics and I can see the ingredients are fresh. Their lunch menu looked interesting, I may go back to try some of their lunch offerings next time. read more

Acai berry bowl tasted good but I ordered it because - wait for it - they didn't sell me a berry smoothie because they need the berries for the acai berry bowl. Really??? So I'm just forced to order the more expensive item, the berries will be used either way whether I order a smoothie or a bowl, but they had no ears for that. My partner wanted the breakfast burrito and was denied too because we were 15min after breakfast times. He only got a coffee so we could have food elsewhere after. Very limited menu. Place is very cosy and cute but run by children. Regretted we didn't go to corner cafe as usual which has a large menu and works efficient. read more

We were in the area and looking for a great coffee and snack break. We stopped here at this cute Cafe and enjoyed iced lattes and a sticky bun (which was ginormous!). We enjoyed the atmosphere! We didn't try their breakfast items but the place was super busy and it seemed everyone around us was thoroughly enjoying their meals! One odd thing was they were out of plastic lids for their cups which was ok for us but did seem to disappoint some customers. We'd be back again, plenty of seating inside and outside. read more

Great beach day , super find next to church. Nostalgic Model T ford pumping out Pizzas like there giving them away. A well seasoned crew running as good as the Ford. Plenty of parking despite the crowds, to top it off fresh Ice cream available from Maine to kill 2 birds with one stone no driving needed. This place is awesome! Exactly what a good Cape place should be. Relaxed, local, beach-like environment with food that kills other small joints. Despite what their profile says they do take credit cards (it's 2015 isn't it?) and I love that they actually have parking unlike some other spots down here. Side tip: get anything with the Bacon. This place was one of or favorites to visit in Falmouth. Everything was excellent. The place is super adorable!!! There's outdoor seating, but i just warn you, there's no AC on the inside, even though it doesn't feel too hot because it's surrounded by trees. The people were so very friendly. From the iced coffee, to the Raspberry Lime Ricky to the delicious tacos. Everything was great! The only thing that was a bummer was that breakfast was over by 11AM. Small but creative menu. Went there for breakfast twice this week. I had the sweet potato hash with eggs one day and the "classic" (i.e., two eggs, toast, home fried, sausage) the other. Both were excellent. Service was fast though there was "half table" service (order at the counter and they bring it to you). No complaints. Very good overall. Probably wouldn't say outstanding but definitely "Cape Cod-ish" and I'd definitely return! read more

Thank you God for bringing this little place to West Falmouth. If I didn't know it, I would think I was dreaming, because it seems like this place was made just for me. It's nestled into the downtown area right across from West Falmouth Market and attached to Eulinda's Ice Cream (also great). I drove by it for the first half of the summer, a little skeptical after seeing what other businesses have shown up around here lately. I can't believe I wasted those months of not going here. Especially since I now know it's open seasonally. Fair warning - It's also not open on Sundays. It's breakfast only and open 6am - noon, so get there early. You might also want to get there early so you don't miss out on one of their daily homemade cinnamon sticky buns (showcased here: http://falmouth.patch.com/articles/hidden-gem-the-village-cafe#video-7053145). The guacamole riser sandwich and burrito are my favorites, but you can't go wrong with anything they have. Healthy organic smoothies and organic coffee are also available to those who can't allow a sticky bun everyday. This place is amazing. It's the best breakfast I've ever had in Falmouth, and our favorite part of our annual visits to Cape Cod. We first checked this place out when they were brand new, and maybe they had a little growing to do. Let me now say that this summer, we ate EVERY breakfast here and still wanted more. Every single thing we ate was fantastic: - the breakfast sandwiches make the perfect "lighter" breakfast; the grilled English muffins are buttery, chewy, not overly-grilled, and simply the perfect backdrop for eggs, cheese, and your choice of meat. - the sweet potato hash is delish and really unique; the bitterness of the arugula compliments the sweetness of the potatoes perfectly. SO yummy. - I don't even like French toast but I found myself nibbling at everybody else's all the time. - Get the half-order of huevos rancheros. Just get it. You HAVE TO. - ALL their pastries are made right there and they are the most "home made" pastries I've had in any cafe, really. We had the banana bars with some sort of salted caramel glaze and they were out of this world. The cinnamon rolls sell out right away - they're everything you've ever wanted. It might take awhile to get your food, because it's made to order and it's so divine. But you won't care; it'll be well worth the wait and the scene you'll be waiting in is Cape Cod perfection: An adorable little breezy cafe in a historic building, not too far from the beach (if you're not lucky enough to stay walking distance to this place, drive here and do a beach walk!), plenty of outdoor seating. Incredibly charming spot -- lots of historical photos of old cape cod, a creative menu, and delicious fresh baked goods (including sticky bun - must try). Service and wait time was really, really long (over 45 minutes for a party of 3 to get our food...plus 10 minutes to order...although not overly crowded at 8am...still don't understand). Food was good but not exceptional and over under seasoned...except the sticky bun which was out of this world. If it had been half (or less) of the wait time, would have maybe been higher score. We love the Village Cafe! We aren't as fancy as Lisa M. I guess. I love the Guacamole Riser and my husband always gets the Jasen. The organic coffee is really good, one cup of the Aurora blend and I'm ready to take on the world. I can't think of any other place in Falmouth where you can get home baked sticky buns or blueberry buckle. The atmosphere is so cozy, especially since the little wood stove has been on. The staff is cheerful and welcoming. It's a great place to stop when riding the bike path too. read more

This cafe is housed in an antique house. Charming atmosphere, lots of character. No A/C. No take-out menus. No credit cards - cash only. I was the ony customer on a weekday late morning. I ordered a BLT on sourdough to go. I ended up with a BLT on wheat on a plate - had to wait for it to be wrapped. The sandwich was delicious but very small and did not come with any sides - not even a pickle. It was WAAY overpriced at $7.00 - $7.50 with tax. Grew up in Falmouth, but hadn't been here until a year or two ago (for some inexplicable reason). First things first: the sticky buns are THE most amazing I've ever had anywhere. They make a finite amount each morning, so get there early to snag one before they disappear. The coffee is outstanding as well and the breakfast options look incredible (and I can't wait to try them on future visits). The atmosphere is also great with dining options inside and out. A great touch is The Poland Spring (I believe) water dispenser too. The only (and I mean ONLY) reason I didn't go 5-star on this review is that when I was in a small line to order on Saturday (about 5 or 6 people back), a young staff member came out from the kitchen area and states: "Just so you know, it'll be a 25-30 minute wait for food." She did this with all of the pleasantness you might expect from a DMV agent. Obviously, customers get that excellent food options take time when everything is prepared from scratch. And it's pretty much a given that weekend guests in the Summer on the Cape are in laid back/vacation mode already. So it was a surprise (and frankly, off putting) to hear this update delivered in the manner it was. That said, it didn't affect our experience too much and I'm looking forward to my next visit (and updating this review). read more

We enjoyed a quick bite we had at the Village Cafe as we were riding the Shining Sea Bikeway. They let us order right as they were about to close, and we appreciated it. Lunch options included a number of sandwich choices (also steak tacos and a ceasar wrap that could be made into a salad). Wish there was soup or an option for someone who eats no bread and no dairy. Breakfast has the sweet potato hash - wish it stayed in the menu throughout the day. Ended up ordering an Acai Bowl for $10 - lots of fresh fruit and berry smoothie - for one of us; and the steak tacos for the other. There is hot sauce in steak tacos - beware and maybe ask for it on the side (we like hot sauce, but this one took us by surprise). Outside and inside seating - maybe 6 tables for 2 or 4 inside, and about 6 large park-style tables with umbrellas outside; we stayed outside, and it was lovely. There is an ice cream counter, which open until 6 pm most days. Breakfast is served until 11:30; lunch is 11:30 - 2. Parking lot behind the building (accommodates about 12 cars). There is access right from Shining Sea Bikeway - right beside the West Falmouth parking lot (but not on roller blades, since that bit of back way is not paved). read more
