Ordered 4 cord of wood earlier this year and was supposed to get it at the first part of June. My son had to call a couple of times and was given an attitude when he called. They finally came with one load a cord and dumped it. I had to split a great deal of it as it wouldn't fit in my stove. There were all kinds of small pieces mixed in and when I went to show them the pictures of what we got I was told since we were unhappy with the first load they weren't going to deliver the rest of it and gave me a refund for the three cord we were expecting to get.I did have them for my oil for two years but I will find some place to get my oil since they run that type of business. If you order wood from them DON'T EXPECT MUCH. I think they gave me a raw deal just because I questioned what I got. Now I am left to look for wood elsewhere when we expected to get all of it from them. NOT A VERY FRIENDLY COMPANY TO EXPECT MUCH FROM. Think twice before ordering wood from them read more

These guys are awesome! We were in a pinch and ran out of heating oil over the holiday weekend. They were the only local company that had an on call even available. I was able to reach their on call and get emergency oil delivered, the fuel was reasonably priced and the service fee was worth not having to wait an extra week or week and a half without heat like other companies quoted. The gentleman that owns the company came late on Saturday night and refilled our oil, and helped us bleed the system to restart it. He was friendly, efficient, and made sure we were good to go before taking off. Overall, great experience and our family is thankful for their emergency service! read more

Sadly my opinion of this company has gone down severely. The latest (and last straw) interaction was horrible customer service. I called on a Tuesday to get oil ASAP, I was thrilled when I was told they could "squeeze me in tomorrow". Tomorrow came and went with no oil. As I drove around at 9pm at night to get diesel to keep boiler going I was unable to get in touch with anyone (on call number, emergency number and office number yielded nothing). I called first thing in the morning and was met with a chuckle and "you're kidding" when I mentioned the lack of delivery. I was told there was no record of my call or the order but they would be out that day. I called back to ensure the correct amount would be delivered and was told I was actually put on the schedule for the following Monday. I explained again I was told, as I mentioned i was in dire need, that I was told it would be Wednesday (the previous day). As I explained this I overheard a gentleman in the background annoyingly say "he's on the schedule for f@&@ing Monday". I mentioned well I understand I am quote "on the schedule for f'ing Monday as that gentleman rudely explained, but was told Wednesday". I once again mentioned the rude comment I heard in hopes of some form of customer service to apologize for his language and rudeness but nothing. I simply asked for the oil to be delivered that morning and I would no longer be using this company. Again no apology given for ANYTHING just a ok we will be there bye. read more

After a disappointing experience with my former (and long time) oil company, I was lucky enough to find Country Fuel's phone # on the Maine Oil website. Not only were the prices better, but, just as importantly, the customer service by both office staff and drivers couldn't have been better - friendly, thoughtful, and very helpful when I really needed it. read more
