Due to health issues we determined it was time for Mom to live in a safer, more socially interactive environment. At Cogir she enjoys a new, safe & secure, beautifully designed, well-lit environment. Each day she receives three restaurant styled, beautifully presented choice of meals served in Cogir's dining room with the other residents. After meals there are a variety of creative daily activities to engage her if she chooses. However sometimes Mom enjoys a fireside chat with her new friends, especially if they have a little dog with them! A small but joyful thing for us, is our family enjoys visiting with the grand kids and playing pool with Mom in the well stocked activity room. Yes, it's a modified version of the game, but hey. Still making sweet memories with her! The best part of being at Cogir is the kind & caring staff, from the Executive Director all the way to the folks who clean the rooms, every person has been so helpful & kind. Every staff member makes a difference at Cogir. The entire staff seems to really enjoy caring for others, especially the elderly. Bless them! Mom is happy at her new home. Our family is so grateful for Cogir of Fallbrook. It is the Best Place for our Mom. E.S.Wright

Our love one( my mother in law) has gone from great condition to worse condition in their memory care system. If you have a love one who's diabetic, this is not the place for you. Not at all. There is no special diabetic diet and your love one could literally die from a high sugar diet because they aren't equipped to monitor a diabetic love one and our love one A1C is hitting over 14.6. If we don't get her out of there she will surely die is what our doctor has told us. It's also hard getting any information out of anyone there. They always seem to pass the buck and the management gets offended and mouthy when you ask questions! I wouldn't recommend this place. I don't care how nice a place looks if it's run incorrectly. The numbers of clients remains low and my mother in law was one of the first clients there and the population has never increased. Buyers beware!

I placed my aunt in this home a little over 3 1/2 years ago with dementia. The prior top rated and very expensive facility she was in was just not giving her the care I felt she needed as she was starting to decline. From the moment she came into this home the people who own it and their workers made Peggy feel she was with family. My one request to them was not to have her stay in her bedroom all day. No matter when I came over, and they never had warning of the time, she was up, dressed, cleaned and in the family room. She loved music and they always had some form of music playing for her. They took the time to learn the music that put a smile on her face. Elizabeth, one of the owners, was always making sure her hair was nice and doing her nails. She was always talking to Peggy which put a big smile on her face. Winston, the other owner, would always have a donuts and coffee with Peggy and talk to her in the morning. The expressions on her face made you know she loved that attention from him. If it was nice outside, he would wheel her out to the porch to sit in the sun, which was one of Peggy's favorite things to do each day when she was in her own home before the dementia. Winston did much of the lifting and as soon as she got on her feet she would always want to dance with the music. Winston was great at keeping her upright and steady so she could handle a few swaying motions to feel like she was young again. The house never once smelled bad or never looked dirty. Window blinds were always open to let the sunshine in. Windows were open on nice days to let fresh air in. Meals always looked good. Her first year in the house on her birthday they allowed me to bring family and food in to celebrate with her. Everyone that works in this home is always happy to talk to you and make you feel like you are part of their family. Covid was difficult, I'm a healthcare worker and couldn't take chances coming into the home to often. There was always a chance I could have something that could be passed on to her or anyone else in the home. I relied on the owners to keep me informed on how she was doing and anything she may have needed. Their number one priority for them was always to keep all of their residents safe. The most special part of care in this home came the day Peggy was passing. The call was made to me with the news. I was really sick and talking with Winston we agreed as much as my plan had always been to be there with her while she was passing it just couldn't happen. I couldn't come into the home and possibly get everyone as sick as I was. I know they were with her throughout the night watching over her. Winston was great at calling and texting me regularly to keep me well informed of what was going on. They made sure she was in no pain. As soon as she took her last breath, he was on the phone with me at 3:40 AM letting me know she finally looked at complete peace. After 9 years she was no longer in battle with dementia. In my heart I know there was no better place or people to be with then the owners and workers of this home. I will always be grateful for the care and love they gave my aunt.

She had a bladder problem that meant she needed to go to the bathroom a lot and at her last place, her diaper would often be really wet, which made her skin red and irritated. But at Pebble Brook, that redness went away because the staff made sure to take her to the bathroom whenever she needed to go. They were really attentive, listened to her needs and even paid attention to what she liked to eat, watch on TV and listen to in music. Their commitment made a huge difference in her comfort and happiness so I highly recommend bringing your loved one here!

Upon move in, Sunrise literally rolled out a red carpet for my grandparents and cared for them as if they were celebrities throughout the remaining months of their lives. It was a true treat for them, but even more significant to us - the joy that radiated within my grandparents is something we hadn't seen in some time! My grandfather literally referred to the facility as "opulent and extravagant"; he felt like he was on eternal vacation. We chose Sunrise as they had memory care, which would allow my grandparents to stay together as my grandfathers dementia progressed. Unfortunately, my grandparents passed sooner than we anticipated, but in the 5 months we spent with Sunrise we established lasting connections. My family and I will be forever indebted to each of the talented and caring staff that loved my grandparents like family.

It's unfortunate there's so few reviews but this is definitely the best place I've seen and I've seen plenty. I cannot recommend more.
