I was one tired traveler when I started my online search for a place to call home for the night. After my usual routine, I confidently settled on this property to entrust with my 'book before you sleep leap'! It was a fairly late check-in, around 10 pm, so the parking lot was quite full. It took one of those drive-around-the-building-twice trips before I found a suitable spot to park my wonder wheels.. At the front desk I was CHEERFULLY greeted by the tag team of Chris and Kayla! Kayla ended up handling my check-in. After a little 'speed-bump' that she handled like Mario Andretti, I was settling into a wonderfully sweet suite with a big bubbling tub! Thank YOU! My room was very clean, comfortable and spacious! And that big bubbling tub was begging me to bathe! I accepted the offer and soon I was soaking away the blues of the day.... The bed? Well, let me say I slept like a baby! (NO! No drool or downstair disasters! LOL). In the morning I awoke with a fresh rejuvenated smile on my face. I was recharged and raring to go! Of course, I took advantage of the free breakfast offerings in the lobby. It was clean, well stocked and not crowded. I got my fill and I was fine. For me, the INN was OUTstanding! We found several (more than just these pictures) roaches all over the hotel room on the first day of being checked in. After over 14 hours of driving & wanting to finally settle down, our key cards would not work no matter how many ways we tried. We had to go back to the front desk to inform the clerk of the issue & instead of getting a new room, we were met with "the slot is probably just dirty" & a man "cleaned" the key slot (which didn't even solve the issue entirely). The man at the front desk is not very friendly & barely said a word to us the entire time the reservation was being finalized. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I am currently writing this review constantly checking the floors for any more unwanted visitors. Most unpleasant stay of my life. we went to check in at 3:30pm and our rooms were not ready due to a delay in cleaning. so we checked in later than night. both of our 2 rooms had food crumbs on the floors, not to mention the many stains on carpet and shower curtain. we found long black hairs all over the bathroom floors. we notified management 2 times and they would not offer to resolve the issue. no room change, no offer to clean it up. the management just writes generic responses to the reviews on here, but does nothing to rectify issues. do not overlook the negative reviews like we did. this hotel is FAR from a 3 star. book elsewhere! read more

After seeking lodging options in the Tampa area, we decided on Country Inn and Suites for their pay two nights receive third night free offer. Sounded like a great deal considering we were looking for a three day accommodation. We checked in late Thursday evening and was pleasantly welcomed by the courteous help staff! If there is one aspect of this visit that receives high marks--its the customer service. Thank you for your hospitality! We had selected an executive room and was pleased with the size and setup of the room. Plenty of towels and extra bedding were readily available. The beds however were not comfortable. The mattress was hard and the pillows pretty much unable to fluff... The room itself is equipped with a small fridge, microwave and cable television. After a long trip we looked into room service for late dinner options-- unfortunately, they had already closed for the night. A complimentary breakfast is available for guests and we decided to check it out. Food was below average by any standard. The batter for waffle was watery and the bacon tasted unfamiliar. One of my biggest complaints though was the proximity of the hotel to the truck rest stop. If you are a light sleeper like I am, you will hear the trucks all night long... all night long! To start , just getting into the parking lot was a challenge. greeted at the entrance by friendly staff which promptly given a room. when I entered the room it was very warm and that's when I discovered you have no control over the a/c. You have no control of th A/C in the rooms and they keep it on a just barely comfortable setting. There is a thermostat so that you have the hope of being able to adjust it but it is just a prop. The hotel is clean and well kept. the rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is polite but there is just something about wanting to be comfortable when I'm staying away from home that this place does not have. The breakfast consists of primarily breads, which is great if you don't like things like eggs, bacon and fruit in the morning. With all this said there is also road construction blocking the hotel entrance wich made for a maze to get in. no detour signs to direct you and though this is not the fault of the hotel they should have mentioned it when I was making the reservation. I do not believe I will be staying here again. read more

Booked this hotel for one nights stay... It was close to Florida State Fairgrounds and Lazydays RV dealer, which we attended this weekend, for the Super annual RV show... Being the last one to shower, I noticed Blood splatter on the toilet and mold around the tub.. it appeared dry not a fresh droplet.. My family, by that time were already settle in and sleeping.. And both had already used the toilet... Sunday morning I asked them if any of them were bleeding, both stated not to be.. My stomach turned!! I am outraged that my family was exposed to this, unnecessarily.. Bodily fluids are a very serious and many incurable diseases are spread this way.. HepC can live for up to three weeks on a service in room temperature... I Informed the seriousness of these conditions to the front desk, think her name was Kim, zero empathy, wrote my complaint on a white paper, along with another consumers complaint.. I asked her to please have the manager contact me, that I would be in the area for the rest of the day... I have yet to be contacted... Needles to say, but I will NEVER be staying here again!! So be careful you do not come home a life altering souvenir... read more

I honestly wouldn't recommend staying here. The fridge was dirty, the bed sheets were never changed, the bathroom wasn't clean and the air conditioning vent had bugs in it. Polite staff but other than that save yourself and pay the extra few bucks else where. read more

It's been about a year and a half since I stayed at this hotel while vacationing in Florida. This was the best hotel I have stayed at (granted, it hasn't been many). I got the room on sale through hotels.com, and it was so worth the money we paid. Clean, and considerate of the environment (offering to let you skip a day getting your towels and sheets washed), this place is perfect. There is no smoking inside the hotel, but you are allowed outside, and even by the pool. There isn't much as far as view, being close the highway and right next door to a truck stop. It is quiet despite it's location, we never heard a peep all night. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is actually very good, with hot items that rotate each day. This was the perfect hotel, and if I return to Florida, this is where i'd like to stay! read more

We had booked 2 rooms ad they were both beyond disgusting! The carpets are stained, the bathroom was FILTHY like it hadnt been cleaned, the bath tub didnt work and the shower trickled. We didnt inspect the beds but I cant imagine they would have been any more clean. It as genuinely like one those bad experiences you see on the investigation shows. I loved my stay at this Country Inn! We stayed one night, but I wish it was more. PROS: Clean!; Complimentary coffee and cookies at all times; large room; friendly staff; free hot/cold breakfast; fridge; swan made of towels and little (fake) flowers were a cute and welcoming detail CONS: It's on a street with nothing but a gas station and a Bob Evans. We were put with out a room and out 700$ they took from bank with our consent... basically told not their fault it was the online booking and still will not refund money!!! At my company I travel quite a bit to the Tampa area over the past 10 years and I have stay at them all. This place is convenient of 75, away from the traffic and road noise, clean inside and out and a great value for a business traveler. I have stayed here the last three trips, they only get better, tried the red center and pool this time, no dissatisfaction on either. Next stay will be here of course. read more

Depending on the reason for your stay, this isn't the most convenient location. This place is however clean, quiet for the most part and friendly. They have free coffee 24hrs. They put cookies out in the afternoon and evening. And they have free breakfast. I will keep my opinion about breakfast to myself because, you know, it's free. You can make your own waffles! I stayed here on August 19 Friday, i checked out everything was okay the room was nice nothing wrong with the actual hotel just the staff and manager. The "manager" checked my room before i left the hotel. I realized the following day that i left my gold chain and gold necklaces on the counter of the bathroom i called the hotel multiple times and spoke to multiple people. The 1st day i called a female said that they didn't find anything and that she didn't have a key to lost and found and to call again f when the manager comes in. I called again this time a male answered the same male that checks me in that friday night. He told me that there are only two lady's thta clean the first floor and that there was no key for lost and found so the female that i talked to lied about a key being needed. The male basically told me that one of the girls are his wife and that no jewelry was find. And let me mind you it was a gold chain and two gold necklaces very very valuable jewelry and was recently given to me from my grandfather. So again i tried the second day and called and the "manager" answered she went through the lost in found and found a wedding ring from july that wasn't mine. Basically i had to go up there after work and try to talk to the manager but it was a make at the front desk when i asked him for the manager he said the manager just left but i know wit was him because of his indian accent on the phone. Gave him my information and explained to him the value of my jewelry and how much it means to me and this man looked me in my face and lied and said that none of the staff had it! Nice place....If you like paying $100 deposit for "incidentals". Like what? Taking the POS TV? I had no idea until I got a notification from my bank. There is a sign on the faaaaarrrr left side of the counter. But the ones I was reading were the banned pizza places proudly displayed where people actually look... ON THE FREAKING COUNTER!!!! Highest I have ever paid and I travel 35 weeks a year. Normally stay at Holiday Inn but they were all sold out. Nothing special here except the cockroaches!!! They are a beautiful sight to behold. Hell I almost caught a free ride into the bathroom this morning. And if that is not enough to convince you, the cleaning staff were gracious enough to let me keep it!!!! At least for tonight!!! Will not stay here again. When my partner and I were checking in, the desk clerk said, "Surely you do not want a room with a king size bed" and gave us a room with two separate queen size beds. The room left a lot to be desired, multiple stains on the rug and the chair and ottoman; the beds were very uncomfortable and the AC did not work very well. In addition, when booking the room, we were not informed that they had cancelled the free breakfast. It is very close to the interstate, but there are plenty of other hotels in the area where we have stayed that are much nicer, and quite frankly, less expensive. read more

This is a 3 floor hotel with one elevator, pool, no smoking but has a smoking section, fitness center, business center, pay laundry room, ice and drink machine on each floor. Checked in after time at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City. Room was on the 3rd floor facing the tractor trailer park. Room was in need of some small repairs that the house keeper should have noticed. Room was dusty and not the cleanest for the $175per night. Found a blood sugar test strip, used , on the floor of the bathroom. Rusty Bolt sticking out of the floor where the door stopper was. 2 king beds where on the firm side. The worst thing was the breakfast that was provided. The trash and dirty dishes were over flowing. The counters where covered with food and crumbs . The whole time we were there no one wiped the dirty tables or cleaned up the food self service area. I watched staff bring out food look at the counter then walk away. Yogurt or at least I think it was yogurt, pink stuff in a bowl not refrigerated just sitting on the counter. Pictures posted. If you stay here don't eat here. read more

Clean grounds, lobby and rooms. Some things could be updated. But everything worked fine. The housekeepers were great. The daily cookies were aromatic and invited us to the lobby for a snack!! I never used the breakfast option, but it smelled great and was always busy!!! The only things we feel could be improved are the wifi, and the rock hard pillows and mattresses. It makes a world of difference for travelers to sleep well. Whether here on business or pleasure, we need a comfy night sleep!!! The pool area could use some more shaded areas. The pool was warm and not very refreshing, but still helped out on a recent 103* day!! read more

NOT SERVICE DOG FRIENDLY! IAW federal law once you ID your animal as a service dog you are not required to answer any questions nor prove anything about your animal or your disability... You are to be treated as if the dog were not there...Service Dogs are not pets. The receptionist demanded my license...when informed she did not have the right to ask she said they always verify...she had me in room 302 but changed the room to a pet room...violation of the ADA Americans with Disabilities Act. She then told me that rather than bringing the dog in through the lobby I should use the hallway entrance. Not only am I reporting this here, I will report it to the corporate HQ, the FL Attorney Generals office, and the better business bureau. read more

This Review is from my first stay here 12/10/2012 to 12/13/2012. From the Staff to the accommodations i was very happy with my stay here. They really go the extra mile to make your visit a one to remember. Everyone is very friendly, the rooms are very clean and well kept. The free breakfast is better then most, Ill have to say it was something worth waking up early for :-) I tend to sleep in late. Overall I would expect to pay more for a place like this, but the price is very reasonable as the also have specials. I was here for 3 days to for employment search and interviews in the area and it was so stress free and relaxing. This was my first time here and I stayed in a Business King. It had Both Wired and Wireless Internet, a Flat-screen HDTV, Microwave and Fridge which kept my beverages ICE cold ;-) The business center is great too if you need to print, make copies etc.I did not get a chance to use the pool or fitness room but it looked clean and well maintained. It is a 100% non smoking hotel which I find is great !!! I Highly Recommend this hotel. read more

Friendly staff - helpful - housekeeping came everyday. I had the executive room for 3 days because there was 6 of us. And I had to stay longer and was given a discount. Breakfast was ok - a variety of offerings. The breakfast area is large enough, so I didn't feel crowded. I'd definitely stay again. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH or lack of communication? I used a website to reserve a room here. When I tried to check-in, I was told there had been a problem with my credit card and my reservation was CANCLED but they did have a room at the walk-in rate of $20 more. We were there for a concert and didn't have time to look around so we took it. The room we had was a regular room, I had booked the king size, so I PAID MORE AND GOT LESS THAN MY RESERVATION. No one from the website or the hotel ever contacted me after I received the confirmation. So I don't know if I got screwed by the hotel or the website. Of course I was told there was nothing they could do...otherwise the place was good, clean, a hot free breakfast. If it wasn't for the screw up and being OVERCHARGED I would go back or recommend this place. Now not so sure I would do either or use that website again. read more

I understand you can't really expect much from a Country Inn and Suites, but this is one of the worst. Our first room had a broken AC. The room was 80 according to the thermostat. Rather than quickly accommodating us with a new room, they sent up a repair man of sorts to take a look. We had to send someone down to the front desk because the phone did not work. After the repair man turned the thermostat on, then off, then back on, he decided that we were correct. "That AC should have turned on by now", was the genius comment from him. He then told us to wait in the (80 degree) room and the front desk would call us with our new room. After waiting about 15 min one of us headed down to the front desk (for the second time) to help assist them with the room change. We grabbed our bottled water from the fridge (which almost fell out of the "built in" when we opened the door) and headed down the hall about 5 rooms. This next room also was set to 80 degrees. After about 30-45 min the temperature finally dropped to about 77. When we called down to the front desk to ask for pillows and a blanket for the fold out couch (which was dusty and extremely uncomfortable) we were asked how the room felt. We mentioned that it finally dropped from 80 to 76 and we were told, "Oh that's great!" Obviously that is not great. Now at 11pm the room is about 71 (several hours after check in) and we are attempting to sleep with apparently paper thin walls. Crying children. Screaming parents. And it sounds like its bath time for the kids (we can hear the water running and all conversation from the bathroom next door). This is by far one of the WORST hotels I have stayed in. I'm thinking the $60 a night Redroof Inn would have been a much better deal than this..could have saved $30! Will not stay here again. A Hyatt Place (though a few miles away from the RV store where we were picking up our RV from) is a way better option for a quick overnight stay. It is a bit pricier (only like $20 more... They probably don't get the big 10% Discount from the RV place next door) but they have way better customer service and far better amenities. read more
