The Meranova Guesr Inn has the best reviews I've seen for any place and after our stay I understand why. Based on the pictures and reviews I knew we would enjoy our stay. My husband and I went for a quick honeymoon getaway, just 2 nights of our Florida trip because our room was booked over the weekend. There was plenty of parking in front of the hotel which was perfect because we didn't need our car in Dunedin. Check-in was seamless and the communication with the front desk was excellent. We stayed in the Zen Suite which has a patio facing the street. There is a lovely wine bar with live music across the street. Both nights we sat outside and enjoyed the music but do visit Stirling Wine (I reviewed them as well, great crowd). The Zen Suite is so comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. Anything you need is already in the room including dishes, flatware, refrigerator, iron, blow dryer and robes. It was easy to relax. The king bed was very comfortable. We found everything in the room easy to operate - TV, AC, door locks. We also enjoyed the pool area. The pool wasn't heated so it was too cold for me but my husband enjoyed it. I relaxed on a lounge chair with an umbrella. We also took advantage of the breakfast promo with the red next door which was very convenient. Overall 10/10 doesn't cut it. We cannot wait to visit again and will stay at least 3 nights! read more

This is without doubt a hidden gem! My wife and I come here on staycations. First, the grounds are almost zen like, with little pockets here and there to sit and enjoy the surroundings with your closest friends and family. The pool is a great place to sunbathe, cool off and meet people, although it's not uncommon to have the pool to yourselves. The rooms each have their unique charm and are quite comfortable. Plenty of shower pressure and hot water in the bathrooms. The entire place is clean and outstanding from a decore perspective. The owners are very prompt in their communications. On top of all this you are essentially in the middle of downtown Dunedin with plenty of bars, restaurants and stores within walking distance. Even though we just had a three day stay, I'm already looking to book another stay here!! read more

Oh my gosh, they aren't kidding! This is truly a hidden gem in Dunedin! I searched on Expedia a couple days before my trip to Clearwater and this came up in my search. I was intrigued and after reading about it and seeing the pics (and the prices, omg!), I took the chance and booked a room! HINT: Book directly on their website for better pricing, Expedia was at least $20 more than their direct booking rate! I booked in the Regency room because I wanted to avoid any potential noise from a room overlooking the pool. Little did I know that the property is so chill and quiet that any place was safe! Perhaps it was because I booked the weekend before thanksgiving or maybe this is the vibe all the time...but it seemed that there was no bad location. The room was amazing!!! So unique and totally equipped for whatever your plans are! The kitchenette was stocked with coffee and a TON of pods for the adorable Keurig, chilled creamer cups, all sweetener, a variety of tea, honey straws, a tea pot and even a filtered pitcher for water!! The bathroom was equipped with delightful toiletries, makeup remover wipes, makeup removal cloth, and plush towels! The little kitchenette table is so cute! The tiny Prosecco bottle and chocolates was an amazing touch! The bedroom is so welcoming! I absolutely loved the decor! The bedding was cute AND comfortable! There was a comfy sitting chair for reading or watching tv or whatever! There were two comfy robes, an iron, ironing board and hairdryer if needed! The TV was massive although I didn't use it but I think it's equipped with all the streaming services. The fan is so unique too! Out front of the room was two Adirondack chairs, overlooking the cute little pool! Seriously, best kept secret in the area! I am super excited to come back and try out different rooms! Oh and their customer service is so top notch! They texted me before my arrival with details of how to get there, where to park and what to expect. Then they texted me directions to my room and special instructions on how to find the place since there was a craft fair in town! Super sweet! It was like staying at a friends house! read more

What a gem of a find!!! Booked an impromptu trip to Dunedin and thankfully the Meranova had availability. It's located in a quaint beach town, surrounded by cool shops, places to eat and enjoy some live music. The room is spacious, sparkling clean, and provides nice amenities for guests. The space is lush with greenery and the privacy and quiet was just so serene. They did a superb job with the decor and feel of the whole grounds and room. Love the unexpected gnomes throughout, and such an attention to detail really shows with the ambience they want to provide. The kitchenette is very well stocked and was even greeted with a little bottle of Prosecco (one of my favs!) There was wifi, Netflix and streaming services, the room had 2 AC units and a fan to beat the Florida coast heat. Just a hop across the street is a winery, an Irish pub and a great Cafe right next door. It was a peaceful and enjoyable stay, highly recommended!!! read more

An amazing location where you can stay at your home away from home & still be part of the quaintness and awesomeness of Downtown. The Zen Room was perfect for us, after spending all day exploring at night we could hang on the porch and still be part of the downtown vibe. When we closed the doors again perfection quiet when we needed it action when we wanted best of both worlds. The brunch not served due to covid was understandable and with a kitchenette plus all the restaurants at our doorstep we never felt slighted. Such a functional well appointed B&B. read more

I 100% recommend Meranova even for those that are local and want a staycation in the heart of Dunedin. We live in Palm Harbor but needed somewhere to stay with our 2 kids while movers came and packed us up to live cross country. Anyone with kids knows that hotel living with 2 kids is anything but ideal. Our son had his own room and our daughter had the living room to herself. It was perfect! Heather and JJ WERE BEYOND accommodating and I never once felt like we were staying in a "hotel". We will miss our "Dunedin house " as our son calls it . Things we loved : -in the heart of Dunedin. It was so fun being able to walk to all of our favorite spots -heated pool (even though it's summer in Florida ) our family enjoyed pool afternoons -full size fridge, wine glasses and coffee ! -attention to detail. When I say they thought if everything I literally mean everything. There was sunscreen by the pool and when I had to get something out of my car in the rain there were umbrellas right outside the door. -brandy and chocolate on check in -GOOD shampoo, conditioner (not that all In one stuff ) and make up wipes. -filtered water (this is a huge plus coming from someone that had to go to Walmart yo buy a gallon of water everyday for 3 days last time we stayed in a hotel). So to sum it up The apartment is adorable and I wish I could just move in here forever! My hubby and I decided to get away for our anniversary. The reservation process was easy with helpful input from the staff. Our rooms are great the bed was very comfortable with nice high quality sheets. The breakfast was delicious and hot. We ate on our porch overlooking the down town. When we came back from eating out last night I was concerned because there is a bar with live music across the street from our rooms, but as soon as we closed the door there was no problem and we slept great. The location is wonderful, lots of eateries, shops and night life within walking distance. I am excited to spend another evening relaxing and enjoying ourselves. read more

I love staying at the Meranova B&B. All of the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're at the utmost of comfort and have everything you need. The rooms are very clean and stocked with full kitchen appliances and utensils. The bathroom includes soap, shampoo, conditioner and even makeup wipes and a robe. There is a daily breakfast that is so delicious and the chef goes above and beyond. All the food includes from herbs from their garden and even edible flowers. Everything is super fresh and delicious with a lot of variety. Outside, they have lots of wonderful seating areas and a very nice and clean pool. Meranova also provides pool towels and sunscreen. The location is prime, it's right in down town. Don't let that scare you away, it still stays very quiet. My only recommendation is when walking through outside, the stone steps can be difficult carry luggage to your room and can be challenging for those who are older or who struggling with stability when walking. I did not stay there myself, but took pictures for a couple for their small (3 children were the only guests) wedding ceremony in the courtyard. The grounds are perfectly well kept, the owners are amazing hosts. There is so much attention to detail that even the sand in the porch ash tray is swirled perfectly! The bride told me all about how perfect her first night was, the perfect pool, the quietness, and the spectacular breakfast spread complete with home made bread that was the best she's ever had. I can't wait to find an occasion to get my husband to take me back as a guest! It's right at the main downtown street of Dunedin so we'll have lots of choices for dinner when we go. read more

I stayed for two nights and left wishing it could have been much longer. With Covid, they currently aren't serving breakfast but with so many great food options in Dunedin, it wasn't missed. The place was spotless, the grounds were beautiful, the bed was so comfortable and the location can't be beat! There was a little port and chocolate waiting upon arrival. Although you didn't see the staff much, again because of covid, they were very quick to answer texts when questions were asked. Hanassa was gracious and helpful. The Meranova is a small Oasis in the historic section of downtown Dunedin. Frank and David create the perfect escape from your troubles. The rooms are private, impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, have full private baths, and contain efficiency kitchens. I love to cook and I am pretty good and can tell you Frank's breakfasts are as good as any five star restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and cooked perfectly. David creates beautiful gardens. Enjoy your breakfast on your porch or in the gazebo or orchid garden. Frank and David are perfect hosts. In addition, there are great nearby restaurants and a great local brewery (Dunedin Brewery). I loved running along the water and my husband biked the Pinellas Trail. The Meranova welcomes gay couples as it welcomes all couples. I think as long as you are nice and quiet, this is for you. If you want a rowdy, loud, party atmosphere, then the Meranova is NOT for you! My husband and I just enjoyed a great week escape from Boston winter. Thanks Meranova! read more

The Meranova has to be the Florida west coast's "best kept secret"! I am thrilled my husband happened upon this bed and breakfast so we were able to experience being pampered in a small historic town with a "beachy" flavor. The very instant I walked into our suite I said, "I want to live here". The quaintness makes the inn so inviting from the moment you walk through the white picket fence not to be overwhelmed by the artistic workmanship you will see as you venture around the beautiful and decorated grounds. We enjoyed the beach during the day and then wandered to the restaurants or enjoyed the nightlife by simply walking to the local clubs. The town is quiet, yet singing with activity when the sun goes down! Everything was so perfect! Our new friends, Frank and David could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast, oh the breakfast...words cannot describe. My husband and I had the most memorable morning experiences on the front porch waiting for the town to "wake-up" while we had our delicious and abundant breakfast feasts. The Meranova will be our new get-a-way. We highly recommend this quaint, beachy, old-town, romantic (oh-la-la) bed and breakfast especially because the innkeepers are the greatest! read more
