    Gnomes!
    Monica A.

What a gem of a find!!! Booked an impromptu trip to Dunedin and thankfully the Meranova had availability. It's located in a quaint beach town, surrounded by cool shops, places to eat and enjoy some live music. The room is spacious, sparkling clean, and provides nice amenities for guests. The space is lush with greenery and the privacy and quiet was just so serene. They did a superb job with the decor and feel of the whole grounds and room. Love the unexpected gnomes throughout, and such an attention to detail really shows with the ambience they want to provide. The kitchenette is very well stocked and was even greeted with a little bottle of Prosecco (one of my favs!) There was wifi, Netflix and streaming services, the room had 2 AC units and a fan to beat the Florida coast heat. Just a hop across the street is a winery, an Irish pub and a great Cafe right next door. It was a peaceful and enjoyable stay, highly recommended!!!

An amazing location where you can stay at your home away from home & still be part of the quaintness and awesomeness of Downtown. The Zen Room was perfect for us, after spending all day exploring at night we could hang on the porch and still be part of the downtown vibe. When we closed the doors again perfection quiet when we needed it action when we wanted best of both worlds. The brunch not served due to covid was understandable and with a kitchenette plus all the restaurants at our doorstep we never felt slighted. Such a functional well appointed B&B.

My hubby and I decided to get away for our anniversary. The reservation process was easy with helpful input from the staff. Our rooms are great the bed was very comfortable with nice high quality sheets. The breakfast was delicious and hot. We ate on our porch overlooking the down town. When we came back from eating out last night I was concerned because there is a bar with live music across the street from our rooms, but as soon as we closed the door there was no problem and we slept great. The location is wonderful, lots of eateries, shops and night life within walking distance. I am excited to spend another evening relaxing and enjoying ourselves.

Beyond wonderful. Breakfast is beautifully presented in a gorgeous setting by the chef / co-owner. It is a destination for us. Renovated older home. Very private yet lots of walking destinations. We love it.

We loved the little touches having the hosts in house provided. Now, there is only messaging, a Ring Doorbell that they don't answer and phone numbers left by the front door that they don't answer - eventually they did after we sent a text. We had arrived 2 hrs early (sorry) and were told that our code wouldn't work until 4:00. That's typical for a sterile type of Air BNB, but the last time we arrived early, the hostess said "no problem!" That's good customer service! There is none, now. The WiFi was a pain to log into....2-3 tries with the correct password. Trying to watch TV with their WiFi password was a pain. The house itself is still just as gorgeous as the previous owners left it. There are just several rooms that people check in and out of with no interaction. We met lots of people on our last visit. Not sure we will be back. We definitely prefer the warmth of having a host in this type of setting.

The location allows for walking on foot to anywhere you want to go so no need to pay for parking anywhere. If I'm ever in the area again, this will be my choice for lodging. We briefly spent time on the front porch, but there is a nice patio as well.

Ashley's Victorian Haven B&B was highly recommended, and for very good reason. This two-story house was built in the 1890's, and recently refurbished and stocked with a lot of period-piece antiques. Barbara and her husband, Larry, are the inn keepers and super-sweet people. They're long-time residents of Tarpon Springs, and can offer lots of helpful advice about what to see and do during your stay in the area. They bought this house, located in the old Historic District of Tarpon Springs, totally rebuilt and upgraded the place, and then named it after their daughter. There is room for three groups of people to stay within the B&B. The first floor of the house has a one-bedroom suite with two Queen-sized beds and a private bathroom with a walk-in, triple-headed shower, and a separate antique claw-foot tub. That's where we stayed. Also on the first floor is the kitchen, where coffee is served every morning starting at 7am. There is a very comfortable parlor with comfy seating on the antique sofas, and a large dining room with wonderful antiques on display. Step outside onto the front porch, and you have a porch swing, and plenty of quiet places to sit and read. Upstairs in the house is a second-floor suite, and out back is a covered patio with a smaller vacation cottage. We spent our late afternoons sitting on this back patio and visiting with Barbara and her husband. She used to own a well-known antiques store in town, and has decorated the Victorian Haven with some of her cherished pieces. Once Barbara starts brewing the coffee in the morning, all of the sleepy heads come staggering down to the kitchen to say Hi to one another and visit with Barbara. By 9am she has whipped up a fabulous breakfast including pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausages, and more, and we all sit down as a group around her dining room table. She checks in with each of the groups to inquire about our plans for the day, and then makes suggestions as to the best shopping, dining, and sightseeing options. The lady knows her stuff! The home is located around the corner from the Tarpon Spring City Hall and police station, and so the neighborhood is very safe and quiet. You'll be walking distance to the famous Sponge Docks area of Tarpon Springs, and it was nice to leave the car behind, and get a bit of exercise. At night, the restaurants and clubs were also an easy hike from the B&B. We had a fantastic weekend staying in a very clean and comfortable B&B, and really enjoyed our visits with Barbara. She gave us some great recommendations about the new places to explore along Dodecanese Boulevard, and also the antique stores in the historic downtown shopping area. If you're looking for a great, reasonably-priced place to stay in the Tarpon Springs area, then I highly recommend that you check out Ashley's Victorian Haven B&B. It's a fun place to get away from it all.

A large mermaid statue greets you, surrounded by whimsical decorations and beautiful artwork. Inside, the floors and ceilings are hand-painted by an incredibly talented artist, and the mermaid-and-manatee theme blends together perfectly. The host, Joanne, is attentive while still respecting your privacy. She showed me around, answered all my questions, and made sure I knew she was just a phone call away if I needed anything. I was there to celebrate my birthday, and she had a banner over the bed and a nice bottle of champagne waiting in my room--such a thoughtful touch. You definitely won't go hungry here. There were muffins, bagels, cookies, fruit, snacks, and more than I could count. For breakfast, there were eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, and plenty of options to cook at your leisure. Drinks ranged from water and juice to soda, beer, and wine. I stayed in the Scallop Room on the ground floor. Each room has its own key, private bathroom, TV, and everything you might need. The bed was comfortable and very clean. In the evening, the owner lit the fire pit and provided s'mores so we could sit by the river, watch the sunset, and relax. Outside, there are kayaks, paddle boards, water bikes, and more. It was my first time kayaking on the river, and I had a wonderful time watching a manatee and her baby (from a respectful distance), along with fish jumping and birds diving. One of those special days I'll remember for years. The only challenge for me was getting out of the kayak at low tide .A grab bar or some support near the steps would make it easier for guests Treat yourself to a visit to Crystal River and the Crystal Blue Lagoon B&B--you'll love it.

My husband and I debated where to stay and took a risk with Crystal Blue Lagoon B&B, since we couldn't find a lot of reviews online. We booked the manatee room because we were charmed by the eccentric decor (it seemed better than a potentially run down room in a generic chain hotel) and we could not have been happier with our choice! While in Crystal River, we spent a lot of money on private boat tours (Manatees in Paradise is the best if you're wondering), but you don't even need to book a tour if you stay here. They have a manatee sanctuary spring pretty much on the property (populated by 30+ manatees during our stay). Plus, they have tons of water toys you can use and everything you need to swim with the manatees on site. Many of the boat tours would anchor there so people could swim with the manatees, but we had a perfect view of them by just standing on the lawn and looking into the spring, something the people on the boat tours couldn't do. Truly, it was the best manatee experience we had in Crystal River! Our room in the B&B was comfortable, clean, and completely charming, if not luxurious. It feels a bit like visiting your most artistic friend or family member. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which came in handy as the weather was cold during our stay. The kitchen was overflowing with a huge assortment of snacks, drinks (including wine and beer), and food you can prepare if you're so inclined. I've already recommended Crystal Blue Lagoon B&B to friends, and we will absolutely stay here next time we visit!
