A little hard to find so check their website for their google map. Complimentary Wi-Fi (from which I am writing this review), TVs in every room. Tastefully decorated. Flowers and plants everywhere. A 1910 house that has been lovingly restored and refurbished and shows a lot of attention to care and detail. Huge bathroom with granite counter and tile, modern fixtures, jacuzzi tub. In summer weather there is a pool and hot tub as well as a modest gym facility. The breakfast portion was also top notch. More food than you can eat and a great selection. Yogurt, cereal, muffins, fresh baked bread, eggs, bacon, coffee, tea, and fresh fruit all found a place on the table. A real wonderful stay and experience. Thanks.

His prize operation was the purchase of about 2000 acres of land north of the Gaol, near Lethbridge, AB, where they built the three storey colonial mansion, reminiscent of the deep South from where his roots came. This unique landmark home, a pre-fabricated house, was ordered from a lumberman's catalogue, each piece numbered and shipped ready for assembly. Mr. Daniel built up and ran a dairy farm on this property which he affectionately called, 'Norland'. Today the property includes 10 beautifully landscaped acres, and the majestic historic Mansion, called, 'The Norland'.

Overall the human interaction was very minimal and almost felt awkward. The property: the pool and hot tub had an obvious amount of dirt and debris along the corners and edges. Clearly had not been vacuumed in a long time. Took photos but could not post on here as they are not png format. Gym was small, but ok. Windows looking out to the pool, and outside looks onto gravel lot. Breakfast was ok. It is very much something to expect from a cheaper priced hotel, but considering we came from other Marriotts along our Southern Alberta trip, this one stood out in the wrong way. The eggs tasted like quite low grade, with just enough selection to have alternative food items. Expect the wifi to be on the slower side. We used the free one that came with bonvoy membership. There is a premium one that would be needed if you are doing any type of business calls. As a heads up, the tv remote did not work from laying in bed. Needed to be sitting on the edge of bed for it to register. We looked at lots of properties before choosing this one, and should have went with the Wingate instead around the same price with more amenities.

No one should get a call from their crying mother about a hotel room mix-up, ever. This place might be a "Marriott" by association, but I have had far better service at every Ramada or Super 8 I've ever stayed in.

There was a GREAT dinner and a PHENOMENAL mucosal experience! There was a variety of salads and vegetables to accompany two protein entrees and a nice dessert all prepared by a top notch chef and his staff. We were greater at the door by Trevor, the owner/operator, who was later one of four outstanding musicians and vocalists. He was extremely cordial and welcoming, helping our 93 year-old Mom to a seat. We were early, but he took us in anyway. We watched as the hall began filling with excited patrons, and soon Trevor's wife, Candy, another great performer, joined in greeting folks and getting things going. The dinner was served buffet style and we were encouraged to eat hearty. "House rules require men to have two plates full and women have the same option." After dinner, a very nice dessert was brought to the tables by Candy and their son, Ronan,, who was also a multi-talented musician and vocalist. Then the show began... The show featured songs by numerous well known musical stars and groups, professionally presented with the request for the audience to sing along if they knew the words ( or to hum if they didn't). The 90 minutes flew by with everyone having a rousing, great time with songs they could recognize and enjoy. Trevor introduced a new member to the team of performers, Paisley, who was a very talented, young performer, harmonizing or soloing with flair, or playing an instrument as needed. WHAT A FABULOUS TEAM! We hesitated to drive those back road for 45 minutes from town to find the site. We were not familiar with the area. The route was very comfortable and easy to follow, and after such a TRULY WONDERFUL EVENING, the return route flew by. We were still singing all the way back to town. I would encourage EVERYONE who wants a first class evening in the area to call, reserve a spot, and spend time with Trevor and his family. There is an RV park there, but we did not check that out. We did find that there was a price reduction for patrons over 65, but we did not need to ask about children in our case. WELL DONE, Great Canadian Barn Dance musical team - oh, and food service team, too.

I've never been to anything like this, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. We were in a large room with a stage at the front, and rows of tables (many of which were reserved, so I could tell this was a popular show). When it was time for dinner, we were called up by table to choose from a nice selection of roast beef, pastas, salads, vegetables and other yummy stuff. Once we were done with dinner, we all got a little white chocolate cheesecake dessert, which was delicious! When the food is out of the way, the music show begins. It's a family band of multi-talented people, sort of like a Mormon Partridge Family! They played a selection of Country and Folk songs all with a story behind them. The show lasted about 90 mins and then we all went home. What a great night hosted by a wonderful family. They have a music camp and support youth learning to play instruments, so that is definitely something I think is important. Great place - visit if you can!
