They'd drive an extra 5 miles just to go to Aldi over another grocery store that's closer to home. They've got a designated spot in the wallet for THE Aldi's quarter. I used to be a non believer, but now I'm here to share the good news. I can not, in good conscience, say it's financially healthy to shop elsewhere. I am a penny pincher to the max, especially when it comes to cyclical purchases. I've been buying the same list groceries every 2 weeks for nearly 4 years. My bill was, on average, $350 dollars. Since I started shopping at Aldi, it's been under $200 consistently and I can't imagine going back. Fresh fruits and vegetables, fluffy bread, and even shelf food that compares (or tastes better!) than the big brands charging twice the price. In addition to the food, they have baby supplies, light furniture, a huge frozen food and meat section, deli selections, and more. I highly recommend Aldi. Try it just once and you'll become a believer.

The thing that ranks them highest in town for me is the bright, open feel to the store. The lights are on, the space is clean, and everything has a price tag. Not only are things easy to find, but you don't have to ask what things cost. This makes it a more comfortable shopping experience for customers who are new to an Asian market.
