So far I bought a wooden coffee table that was $55 and an upholstered bench with iron sides that was $75. Tell me, where can you get good quality furniture pieces for those prices in NYC? Plus, since I carried both pieces out of the store (when I say carry, I mean my stepfather picked it up and put it in his car), ETG gave me a 10% discount. The coffee table did have a few scratches on the sides and a round water stain (coasters, people!) in the middle. I brought it home, sanded/stained the top and painted the bottom part white...it looks freaking amazing now! The bench is my next project, just have to find the right fabric then I'm going to spray paint it black. ETG is actually 2 buildings so make sure you visit both. Check out their website too. The views on the other hand are wonderful. The EO logo frames the view of NYC so beautifully. Nice to take a seat and enjoy a sunny day. Found a cute shirt and a nice dress for travel in the sale section at Banana Republic. Got some bathing suits at a store that was going out of business. After shopping, pay your respects at the Staten Island September 11th Memorial. Postcards honors and remembers the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombings. Look through the wings of the giant sculpture. It frames Ground Zero. Never forget.

The store itself isn't very big but it has all the essential items. There are some self check out machines so the line took less than 5 minutes. There's a big parking lot exclusive for Target customers so parking is never a problem at this location. Across the street there are other shops, a gym and a few other stores.

This is a big TJ Maxx store with plenty of parking. They have a big men's section with the usual…read moreshirts, swimwear, pants and other discount items you should expect. As in every TJ Maxx, you'll find some good products but also lot of low quality stuff, t-shirts with their collars stretched out, etc. One thing that annoys me when I visit this location (which doesn't happen at the nearby Bayonne, NJ location) is that when I want to try something on they have me hang the stuff, count, and once I'm done they repeat the same process again. I understand this process if I'm holding multiple items, but sometimes I have just 2 and they can clearly see I'm holding 2 items, but they work like robots. Also, they charge for that low quality paper bag if you need one (the Bayonne location doesn't). So, just to summarize, if you want questionable quality clothes for a good price this is a store I recommend. But if you want long lasting clothes that will survive multiple washing cycles, that will fit well, be very thorough if you're getting them here and try them carefully before purchasing or spend a little more at a higher quality store.
