He was a rescue dog we got years ago that we assumed had no possibility of changing as we had tried multiple times to break this behavior. He was just scared of other people, but because he's so adorable people thought it was okay to pet him. Charlie had a habit of snapping at people when they did this, even when we warned the people not to do it. Fast forward to Pawtham, when we moved to the area my husband and Charlie moved first while I stayed behind for several months to wrap up things at work. So he needed a daycare to take Charlie to so that he wasn't home by himself too much. He found Pawtham online and called the facility to explain Charlie's behavior problems. They offered to try and take care of him even with his unique personality. Over time Charlie actually warmed up to the staff at the facility which made us so happy and trusting to know that they took the time and care he needed. We have not taken Charlie back to Pawtham because of COVID. My husband has been working mostly from home, but Charlie is now forever changed. When we take him to meet new people now we still have to give them warnings that he might snap at them, but somehow his time at Pawtham has allowed him to realize that people are "good" again. Now instead of there being no chance of him warming up to humans, it takes him a day or sometimes just hours and he's okay with being touched by them, which brings our heart so much joy!!!! If you love your dog and want them to have someone you trust care for them, use Pawtham! You won't be disappointed!!!

I was concerned about boarding my cat because she's about 10 years old and I thought the shock of a new location would cause her extreme mental stress. Thankfully we found Jill. A few weeks before our event, we met in person. Jill came over to meet Lucky, and the two instantly bonded. Lucky jumped onto her lap and started chewing on her hair, then laid down to rumble on her lap. Jill explained how her services work and asked us what Lucky liked to do, where her toys were, where the litter boxes are, where her food and water are, and the cleaning supplies. Jill explained her pricing system (fair) and that she sends updates daily, along with photos, she cleans the litter box, and she would change Lucky's water (Lucky has an automatic dispenser). We signed the paperwork and Jill left. When the day came, Jill sent the most amazing picture of Lucky. As much as I love my cat, in ten years, I've never been able to get a clear, nonblurry photo of her and Jill was able to get it day one. Jill's easy to communicate with (text then email). She's easy to schedule. And she's easy to pay (we use Chase QuickPay). Try to schedule her as soon as you know when you're going because she does charge a little more per day if it's "last minute" (within a week), again, very fair. Overall, my wife and I overwhelmingly recommend her. Since hiring her service for our wedding, we've scheduled Jill for 3 other trips and we will continue to do so in the future!

We needed a tricky grooming done on Dexter, our 10-year-old bear-coat Shar-Pei. Ashley groomed him and she flat knocked it out of the park, folks. She trimmed his 4" fur down to about an inch long all over; it must have taken her all day. He had multiple mats -- they're all gone. And Dexter has been strutting around. He knows how good he looks and I can tell how good he feels. Ashley treated our dog like he was her baby; he absolutely adored her. We've never experienced such care and compassion for one of our pets. We will never go anywhere else.

I booked an appointment to take my first dog in, explained what I wanted and they said "no problem, we'll ask you again upon drop off ". When taking him to his appointment I reiterated what I wanted. My husband had to pick him up, it didn't occur to me to make sure he knew to double check the cut was right. When they got home, I realized they only took 1/2 inch off instead of taking him down to a 1/2 inch, so his hair was way too long. I called about a week later (confirmed it was too long to, was trying to just live with it). I mentioned it when making an appointment for another dog hoping that giving them more business but letting them know the mix up would encourage them to fix it. He's itty bitty so an extra inch+ makes a huge difference, and he's missing teeth so he's a messy eater. I also mentioned it when taking dog #2 in... nothing. No offer to fix it, no discount, out $150 before the tip on two yorkies. Pretty disappointed, had they offered to correct the link, we'd keep going, because both boys came back happy, I just won't pay 20% over what we had been at the vet and gamble having to do it so soon again.
