This is with an appointment earlier in the day. I was never happy about this. Well, no more. We're thrilled with the process at Bubbles and Bows here in our new home of Mansfield. The receptionist was super nice and helpful. They completed Tinker's groom in about 2 hours and she got to lounge in a special area with other groomed dogs afterwards. When we picked her up, she seemed to be in great spirits and not stressed. Yes, we paid a premium here vs our old place in Weatherford but we feel the stress reduction for Tinker, not waiting in a cage all day to be groomed is worth it. We've already made our next appointment.

Midtown has nice kennels, treat the dogs well and have a nice outdoor area. I also like that they are right next door to a 24x7 veterinary clinic in case of an emergency. They also let the groomers from next door work with your dog during his/her stay. Love that! It is great to be able to pick your dog up on a Sunday. Others like to charge you for an extra night. But, more importantly, why put your dog through staying an additional night? They do not nickel and dime you to death like one of the others in town. The other charges to give your dog treats, walks, etc. No thank you to the additional charges. Just treat my dog well! This is, in my opinion, the best in Granbury.

I was just browsing at first but decided to grab Ollie some dog ice cream (they come in a 4-pack). The sales lady--who I believe is also the owner--offered to just sell me one instead of the whole pack, which was awesome and so thoughtful. I think it was literally just a dollar. The shop itself isn't huge like a PetSmart, but it's well laid out, easy to find what you're looking for, and has a really homey, family-run feel. The employees were genuinely kind and welcoming to me and my buddy. Granbury is a little out of the way for me, but honestly, I wouldn't mind the drive again--customer service like this goes a long way. Thanks for making us feel so welcome!

However, upon a second visit with my Yorkies I can truly say I will never return again. After I picked up my dogs, I noticed the workers were acting a bit "off" when I picked up my dogs, I never paid it any attention until a couple days later I noticed my Yorkies eye swollen and crusted on her cheek. I went to scrub the "crust" off and after cleaning it I discovered a huge hole in her cheek, that crust was a scab covering an obvious slice from either scissors or clippers. It was the size of a dime and starting to become infected. If the workers simply told me upon pickup that she was injured I would have been able to care for her properly, however now it's too late for that and my poor dog has a scar on her cheek with possibly no new hair growth surrounding that area.
