Anyone who knows me, KNOWS I am a loyal customer and refuse to change my small business favorites. I was heart broken because we love our old groomer! So after several other failed attempts and my babies getting abused and hurt by other groomers I was desperate! I contacted her via Facebook messenger on a friend's recommendation to make an appointment. She was super sweet, very accommodating, nice and professional. The fact that my big stinkers Bucky didn't growl or bark like banshees was amazing! She was also super sweet with my baby. I was hopeful but still nervous because I am ALL about my dogs whenever I try new groomers or boarders. If my babies get hurt or mistreated I go Mama Bear mode on anyone and everyone. Just ask my husband lol. I even advised her that my baby Bucky has sensitive skin and needed hypoallergenic dog shampoo. I also showed her pictures of what my Bucky looked like after the last grooming appointment from my last groomer. She asked very great questions and I was very impressed with all her probing questions. I did ask how long the appointment would take because I either wanted to wait or go into own since I lived an hour away. She encouraged me to either wait or go enjoy the peach festival but it would be about a hour. I waited and she even recommended a brush for my big chocolate lab. I am not going to lie I was expecting a lot. I have high standards and want my monies worth. I even bought the recommended brush she uses in her dogs and OMG it is a life changer! I went ahead and book another appointment 6 weeks later. She is amazing and will recommend to any an all!

Our 4 dogs were boarded there for about 10 days and our oldest suffered an emergency so they brought him to the vet for us and stayed with him until they could reach us... mind you we was on a cruise so it was delayed messages and missed calls, but they kept trying. Once we touched base they still kept up with us on progress of him. The compassion from staff was great, we arrived home 2 days later and ended up having to put our baby down . The owner was super sweet once we arrived for other dogs. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great care for your babies. Thank you again Prancing Puppy we very much appreciated it.

When I dropped him off, I specifically declined the late-night treat because I know my dog does not like peanut butter. However, when I picked him up the next day around 2:00 PM, I was surprised to find charges on my bill for both a "late" pickup and the late-night treat that I had declined. The most concerning issue, however, was my dog's condition when he came home. He was covered in fleas. Prior to his stay, he did not have a flea problem, and he had even been to the vet the day before boarding with no issues noted. Finding him infested immediately after boarding was extremely upsetting. Not only was this uncomfortable for my dog, but it also created a problem in my home that now requires treatment and additional expense. In addition, my dog is normally very high energy, but when he came home he slept the entire first day, which was highly unusual for him and added to my concern about his overall condition after his stay. Between the unexpected charges and the flea issue, this was a very disappointing experience. I would encourage pet owners to carefully review their invoices and thoroughly inspect their pets after pickup.

The young woman who checked us in was very kind and energetic so I think that may have hyped my dog up for some fun. My dog is in no way shape or form introverted, but he doesn't always like people immediately either, so I took his excitement as a good sign. I got one picture after he was fully introduced and he looked like the happy boy I know and love. The pickup process was easy but of course was a little backed up with so many people coming at the same time. I would try them out again.

I told them I had a receipt from the vet's office which showed they received their parvo vaccines yesterday. They said they still needed vet records showing the expiration date to "protect the groomers." I assured them that parvo vaccinations administered yesterday have not expired. (I did not see any point in letting them know that the parvovirus carried by dogs is not transmissable to humans.) They still needed the records. I guess its time to change groomers.

I took my dog in for a quarantine. The cage they put them in had just a grate bottom. When they…read moreclean the cage they just spray it out. While the dog stays in the crate. I understand the animals have to stay in quarantine but that seems very inhumane to spray the animal while cleaning the crate. No way they can do it without getting the animal wet while cleaning the car that way. Once I realized this I picked up my dog the very next day and took him else where. Then I was charged for 2 days and an exit exam. All of which is their "policy". I feel like it's a way to scam customers. Please do not take your animal there if you care about them!!! They were also very condescending when speaking to me about their policy. I took my dog to a place that has a small area outside their cage that the animal can go out to while the cage is being cleaned. Still enclosed and quarantined.

Metro Animals was one of the only places that were okay with taking in dogs that weren't exactly people friendly. I appreciate that they let us do a free trial day to see if he would be a good fit, which thankfully he was. The staff were incredibly kind and patient with Duke. He has even warmed up to a few of the staff members. Most of the employees seem to have an understanding of dog behaviors and how to work with them. I would definitely recommend them 10/10
