Normally when you see pottery at the festivals it tends to be just bowls and cups, but this vendor had beautiful serving dishes, soap dispensers, jugs, urns and large mugs that looked like stacked mugs. The items were very colorful and unique. All of their items are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe so there is no need to worry about care and function. Malsnee Pottery is located in Woodstock and I will definitely be visiting their store when I am in the area.

They sell a plethora of all naturally grown products (no preservatives) just to name a few: fresh pecans, nuts, an assortment of jams/spreads/butters, ciders, fresh honey and much more! They even have their pecans cooking in their crock pots nice and hot with two different flavors. They offer samples to settle your buyer uncertainties :-). They also sell souvenirs, which was a plus for us being that i was pretty bummed we didn't get the chance to purchase one before we left the city. The owner was extremely kind, and sweet! He answered any questions I had and began to engage in conversation with my boyfriend about the history of the town. I couldn't say enough good things about this shop, but when I asked him if he knew what yelp was he didn't have the slightest clue, so you know we had to put the shop on the map!!! Check them out, you won't regret it!! The chocolate covered pecans are amaaaaazing. And the cider is 10/10. They're located right next to the Sunoco gas station, right off the 411 highway exit. I was informed that they would LET me cancel but I would forfite the full cost of the class. I explained that they had cancelled on me, It was ok but I would like the same courtesy. This location also does a much better job of keeping items in stock. I'm far more likely to find what I'm looking for without having to make substitutions or come back later, which makes shopping here far more convenient. The deli is another standout. It's consistently clean, well maintained, and efficiently run, which makes a big difference when ordering prepared foods or sliced items. Overall, this Publix feels better managed and more reliable, which is why it's my go-to location even if it's not the closest one.

I've heard that this family-owned business has since changed hands; my fingers were crossed that the legacy lived on. Enter Gallery at Crossroads with its cake counter marked "McEntyre's". Yes! It's the same bakeshop from my old neighborhood. Well ... kind of, sort of. As the proprietor told me, you can special order anything from the main store and have it shipped to their location in Dallas, though they do keep an inventory of cakes, cookies and other treats. The cheese straws were great! The lemon bars, as I remembered. The peanut butter bars, not so much. ("I think they're sort of stale," my daughter said -- which could be a problem with an off-site outlet.) In addition to baked goods, the store sells jewelry, gift items and antiques. It's a small shop and I was delighted to find a typesetter's draw -- I've been looking for one! -- to showcase my collection of miniatures. The woman who runs the shop is friendly and helpful. I think her location is somewhat off the beaten path ... but if you're there, stop in for lunch at the neighboring Mexican restaurant. (It's very good!) Decorative pillows and countless tea towels. Coffee cups glass ware, dish ware, nic naks and assorted dodads (lol). And the best part... everything is about 60 percent off. But be careful.
