I made it with air plants, pebbles, and a charming little turtle. Every time I look at it, it gives me a calming vibe. Depending on the project I can select Rayon or Polyester thread in a variety of weights. The color choices are endless and can blended gradually or distinct vivid contrast. The work always comes out looking great. The thread shows it's quality in the finished product. If the item is going to be laundered frequently the Polyester thread stands up to heavy use.. I have a tri-fold thread chart that helps me select just the right color. In addition to thread colors on the thread chart there are collections by title. The skin tone selection was a fantastic purchase and accommodates the multitude of colors/shades/tones for people throughout the world. The collection of neon colors Is nice to have on hand if the need arises for ultra bright. I even had an occasion when I used the black light white thread and received multiple compliments on the project. I like to build plastic model kits. I have been building those since I was young. I remember when those kits and the supplies to build them were sold at most large stores. They are getting harder and harder to find. This store has a decent selection of model kits and a great selection of modeling supplies: glue, paint, clamps, even airbrush kits.

When you're coming out of the parking lot and wanting to turn back onto Barrett Parkway; this can be a challenge. There is a center chicken lane that all of the other stores empties out of and sometimes you have to wait quite a while before you can maneuver your way outta there. (Personally I just make a right like I'm going to the Joanne's behind here and make a quick U turn at the light by Joe's Crab Shack....) If you're looking for crafty stuff. Every year I do those Operation Christmas Child where you fill a shoe box size container with stuff…read moreand it's sent to kids overseas. Most years I'll go to Walmart for this stuff or Target and buy a bunch of stuff from the travel size bins. This year however I've decided I'm going to change up and try this place out. Some of the items that I will pack into these boxes are pencils, notebooks, chap sticks, nail clippers, tampons, sunglasses, crayons, etc. I was able to pick many of these items up for just under a buck or two. Plus I saw some more items here such as slippers and fuzzy socks that I think will also go great in these boxes. I didn't need any help shopping on my trip here but I was approached by a sales associates offering to help me find stuff which I appreciated. Although gift cards are wonderful gifts (because you are essentially giving the gift of choice), they can be a bit boring. To add a bit of pizzazz, you can add one of these decorative holders. They are very cute and very creative, (see the photos). As I stated, Mary Lou is also a painter so you may want to hop on over to her website and take a look and see what more she has to offer.
