Service here is fantastic! And they have top quality Daniel Smith watercolor. They are the first Michael's (4 others recently) I've been to around north Atlanta-metro which has had DS white gouache. Unfortunately, I bought the last tube of it.... But hopefully they'll get more of it soon so I haven't deprived others. As always, they had a lot of clearance, I had a coupon for full price goods, and I had store rewards coupon so I walked out of there with $40 worth of paints but only spent $25. This is my favorite Michael's in the area. Great selections and friendly staff that will answer every little weird question that you may have. Whether you're putting glitter on some T shirts with your pet's name on it (I swear this is not me!) and or knitting an afghan...this place has got it all. I've been to this store dozens and dozens of times over the years and never had a bad experience here. On the weekends the parking lot is a zoo and sometimes people just zoom behind you while you're backing out like you don't exist but you get those drivers everywhere. When you're coming out of the parking lot and wanting to turn back onto Barrett Parkway; this can be a challenge. There is a center chicken lane that all of the other stores empties out of and sometimes you have to wait quite a while before you can maneuver your way outta there. (Personally I just make a right like I'm going to the Joanne's behind here and make a quick U turn at the light by Joe's Crab Shack....) If you're looking for crafty stuff. My husband came in to the Kennesaw store to have something framed for me as a gift. He had no idea what he was doing or how as I am normally the one to take care of these things. He met with Charles in the Frame department who spent a very patient hour with my husband. Worked with his budget, helped him find a coupon and really took the time to make this gift beautiful. It is honestly a rarity these days to find people that understand what customer service is or show kindness and patience. CONSISTENT RACIAL PROFILING. I visited this Michael's on 10/6/24 to return a sewing machine that I had purchased a few days earlier. Immediately when I entered the store I was greeted by Kacie who I let know I had a return to do. Before we even got to the register she asked if I had the card I paid with. I replied yes but I didn't have the paper receipt but the transaction will show on my rewards account. This is when she got aggressive and dismissive telling me she won't look up the transaction and that she needed to call her boss. She called someone on her cell phone multiple times with no answer then she called someone else that sounded confused on what she was even talking about and pretty much coerced them to agree with whatever reason she was making up to not return my item. I've lost receipts plenty of times and if I needed to return something they would simply ask for my rewards account info. This is not my first interaction with her and everything about her from her body language, tone & attitude changes immediately when interacting with African American people. I spend my hard earned dollars at Michael's and get treated like a criminal by Kacie. It's never a issue when spending your money but if you ever need to return something it's nothing but ridicule. I believe that the store's staff should undergo training on how to treat all customers with respect and fairness. No one should have to experience the suspicion and discomfort I felt while simply trying to return an item. read more

Rude experience. Walked around for a few minutes looking for a piece of fabric, and then thought to ask the short, older lady with a green Michaels shirt and headset on. I asked, "where would I find fabric?" And she said, "we don't sell it" and kept walking. Michael's sells many fabrics (see pic). She didn't care to help. read more

Went to support my local Michael's store in Kennesaw Ga on Saturday and the cashier walks over to the trainee that was helping me and told him to check my items more closely because people hide smaller items in there. I can hear you. What are you implying. this is Michael's not Neiman's!!! That was unprofessional, insensitive and disrespectful. Instead of checking Dawn ( the manager) on the spot for a temporary fix, I decided to call corporate and share on social for a more permanent effect. I really love this place! Even though I am one of the least crafty people you will find, I always get inspired when I walk through the isles! This location is always well organized. The staff is super friendly and ready to help. They also offer classes which is great for people like me :-) They have great sales on "after the season" stuff. Typically 50%-70% off. I can always find something cool in this section! They also have a great section for kids. Tons of arts & crafts as well as boxed sets. This is a great place to shop for a kid's birthday present! Also, make sure that you search for a coupon on your phone prior to arriving. They usually have a 40% off of a regular priced item that you can use!!! Used to goth Micheals with my wife and when compared to other stores it is the best I think. Love the ambience and lovely collection of all the items. Try to download the app where you can get coupons online. It will be savings for you for sure. When we enter it really feels like Xmas. Good for kids as well. Lot of stores nearby if you want to hang around. It's a great shopping place to be and will be a great shopping experience. Definitely will come back to this store if needed. It has all the things needed for fun bakery items (like that one time I decided to do fondant for a cake, or cover my chocolate balls in candy-coating), or for jewelry making (yup, that was for my necklace period), or for crafting wreaths and garland for the holidays (check!)
