Maybe because I saw several negative reviews I had low expectations, but I came here with a RI Food Fights coupon, and I was really surprised at how great my ice cream was! Not only that, the cost/value is the best I've seen. Maybe I should do more investigative work as to where their ice cream comes from, but I really enjoyed it. Location is not ideal, but the parking was easy. The night we visited was chilly enough that my friend and I ate the ice cream inside my car, but on a sunny warm day, that outdoor seating is great. They had a small but reasonable amount of flavors...not so many that it was overwhelming, but enough that I couldn't decide on just one. The person scooping our ice cream was really sweet, and I wasn't sure if she could offer samples (since it's through a window and not at a counter), but she did. I tried the rum raisin and the black raspberry. I'm super picky about my black raspberry, and this is the first one I've really enjoyed outside of the Lincoln Creamery. She was able to split a small into two scoops, so I got one scoop of rum raisin and black raspberry, and I loved it. My friend got the campfire s'mores flavor. It was SO sweet. I could see a younger palate going nuts for it, but I was happy with my pick! I would definitely come back. read more

We visited the shop early September as part of the RI Food Fights ice cream passport. We arrived after dark around 7:15pm. Parking is in front with lined spots or in a big dirt lot. There is a large area of benches and tables for sitting. The flavors are listed on a board and are easy to read. The only signage of ice cream is within the shop hidden on a back wall. Country Side Creamery uses Bliss ice cream, which I'll be honest, is not my favorite. The service was okay. The girl scooper did not look pleased to be working on a Friday night. I think most of the negative reviews here are unwarranted and potentially untrustworthy. Country Side Creamery reminds me a bit of the ever popular Sundaes on Oaklawn Ave. It's essentially a booth with nearby outdoor seating. Very simple, but it serves its purpose. There is a nice variety of ice cream flavors, both hard and soft-serve, and the portions are VERY generous. I honestly have trouble finishing a small, which is two scoops, but they are hefty scoops! I've been here at less busy times, so I'm not sure how long the line can get, but when I've been there I've dinged the bell, and the employee came out to the window immediately to help. Service has been cordial and pleasant. I really have no complaints. If you are a resident or visitor to this part of Cranston, Country Side Creamery is going to be your ideal spot for a quick ice cream fix on a hot day. read more

We have given this ice cream shop several opportunities but each time we come the service is more and more challenging and we are unable to get what it is that we ask for. This time my friend ordered a sundae with caramel and got a hot fudge sundae with a little caramel on top. I ordered their sugar free coffee ice cream and was told that they no longer had that. I had ordered it with nuts and the server had to clarify that twice. It was only 2 ingredients. One of the servers is lovely in her make up and hair and skin tight outfit but to the point of being obscene. The other one was wearing shorts tonight and when she turned around and to scoop the ice cream her butt was hanging out of her shorts. I don't come here for that. We come here for ice cream. It's not a family place and this is my last visit. read more

This place is the best place for ice cream in the western Cranston/Scituate area. The staff is genuinely friendly and pleasant to interact with. The ice cream is fresh and the portions sizes are great! Unlike some local ice cream spots, the seating area is set back from the parking area because... Well, who wants to sit right next to the parking lot?!?! Their seating is ample, with tables with umbrellas or comfy swinging chairs. A shady tree too, for extra hot days. Ignore the bad reviews, I have truly never had a bad experience here and I have been probably at least 100 times, not kidding! What can I say, I love my ice cream! read more

Love getting ice cream here. That and they are awesome with my dog and I swear he only eats the dog sundae from here and no where else.

I have gone here several times for ice cream. They do have good maple walnut ice cream. However, they clam chowder and clam cakes were just awful. Not only were the calm cakes greasy, but they did not even have many clams. We only saw 3 clams in our entire order of cakes. We order 12 calm cakes and only got 9. They did not inform us of this when they gave us our order. I had to go back and tell the girl at the window. A short time later, she came to us and told us that they ran out of material. We were not even refunded the difference. Sad to say but well not be going back. They only serve food on weekend ends starting at 4 pm, but the cook was late so could not get food until 5:30 pm. Not a good way to run a business. I would highly suggest they attend a few college course and come up with good business and plan and ethics policy; along with operating procedures. read more

A nice range of flavors and friendly customer service. It isn't worth going out of your way to try, because they serve Gifford's ice cream (except for the coffee milk flavor from Warwick Ice Cream), which you can easily find elsewhere. You advertise indoor seating, yet you will only open the inside when you "the owner" are present. I was at a restaurant and didn't use the bathroom before I left because we were coming to your place for ice cream and I figured I would use yours there while my family of 6 were enjoying their ice cream. Don't be cheap. Hire more help so you're not false advertising the indoors. And, put the freaking napkins outside so people don't have to wait IN LINE for napkins when they're half way through their ice cream, because the ONE girl who's working is taking and filling orders. ~Not happy customers. read more

My sister, niece, and I stopped in on Columbus Day afternoon for a couple of cones and bottles of water. While we waited in a short line, we tried to choose between an overwhelming selection of 3 flavors...the board was completely covered in duct tape to signify which flavors weren't in stock. 3 customers and 15 MINUTES LATER, we were up. When we finally got to the window, we saw the reason for the delay: the server's friends were in the work area, literally holding up production. We placed our orders and were informed that they only had two flavors(chocolate chip and cookie dough), one cone (ONE CONE?!) and no bottles of water. The portions were meager for the price point, and the quality of the ice cream was definitely lacking: full of air and very few pieces of either "flavor" were present. I do understand that we're rapidly approaching the end-of-season for most ice cream stands, and while I can *almost* overlook the terrible service, I can't ignore the lack of supplies, specifically, bottles of water, which don't really expire and are almost purely profit. What a disappointing waste of time, $12.00, and my dream of a sugar cone with my second-rate ice cream choice. read more
