We came on a weekday morning with 3 toddlers who were very excited to see some airplanes, and that's exactly what they did! There was thousands of them! If you or someone in your family is a fan of airplanes/helicopters, this is the place for you. We had so much fun touring the different aircrafts, watching the planes and helicopters fly, and people watching! The parking situation at the designated lot was easy, and from there they have buses running to the actual show grounds. This space is HUGE -- wear comfortable shoes! There are trams running periodically up and down the main road, but once it becomes busy they are few and far between - we ended up walking all of it (with a wagon for the kiddos). We probably experienced 5% of the offerings at the airshow, but wow did we have fun. If you've got a toddler, I recommend grabbing some noise cancelling headphones so they can enjoy the fighter jets if you're lucky enough to catch a show! We enjoyed some popcorn, ice cream, pretzels, and frozen lemonade while wandering around. Delicious classic fair food that was reasonably priced. We can't wait to come back as our son gets older and continue to make memories here!

They also partner with the airport to offer Young Eagle flights for children. If you visit outside of AirVenture then you'll practically have the place to yourself. They show mostly classic cinema here, crossing all genres from Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin to Ghostbusters and Caddyshack. It is a great and inexpensive (3 bucks) way to spend a weekend evening, and it is really a treat to see older classic films back on the big screen. No matter how BA you think your home theatre set up might be, there is no substitute for the true movie experience for something like Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia or On the Waterfront. They are closed for a couple months during the winter, but during the warmer months they tend to have a theme of showings for a given set of weekends; Slasher films, old comedies, horror classics, etc. Also a good place to take a date. Even if you happen to hate classic cinema, you can at least pretend as though you have an appreciation for it so you can appear sophisticated. As a final side note, they show the Rocky Horror Picture show once each season also, and it brings out the fanatical types for the film like a small army of escaped mental patients. If your instagram feed is in need of some shock value, look no further.

They have also done Friday Freak Nights playing a lot of classic and old horror films for free! Recently they've been playing other films besides horror. This is a small, non-profit theater. It's a great addition to downtown Oshkosh. Most movies they show are free or just a few bucks. I catch myself donating $5 because it support the theater and I'm still paying less than going to a regular movie theater.
