The house had already vinyl floors in the living but not the stairs so we should find similar color/texture. We went to the store and they had a lot of choices and we chose the one we believe we had to put. The time frame was approximately a month and the installer arrived exactly the date we agreed. He finished the job, he did good job. However, a small accident happened with the glue his partner used, he left some marks on the floor where it was impossible to remove using products like GooGone. I had to call him and he replaced those with the marks. So, I have to say that now I am ok with the result.
