I went in on a Friday and ordered flowers to be picked up on Monday at noon. I was very specific. Said I would like a unique arrangement with yellow roses and purple flowers. The lady asked what kind of container, I said a nice box or anything unique but not a vase as my mother has a ton of those. I said I wanted it to be asymmetrical and have structure to it. She asked how much I wanted to spend. I told her I didn't know how much that kind of thing I'm asking for goes for. She just stared at me. So I threw an amount out to see what she'd say, I said "I don't know, $100?" She was all to happy and rang me up for $100. I went on Monday at 1pm. Upon walking in I saw a different older lady and two younger ones sitting at a back table doing nothing but chatting. One younger girl came up and I told her my name for an order. She went in the cooler and came out empty handed. Went somewhere else. Came back empty handed. Then she goes to talk to older lady and comes back and says the yellow roses just came in 5 minutes ago and my arrangement is not ready. Wait what!??? So I showed up an hour later then I said I would and you have nothing? And NO ONE CALLED TO TELL ME THIS!? So the older lady came up and she seemed all nervous and jittery and she told me to hang on they'll make it now. Oh great, I'm sure that's going to come out great now that you're rushing. So I politely said I'd wait even tho I was not happy. Then she comes back to tell me the yellow roses actually did not get delivered!! And now she said they'll get some somewhere and they'll even throw in a few extra roses and a couple of balloons and they'll deliver it within the next few hours. I was really concerned now that I was not going to get what I wanted so I said that. She got kind of rude and snapped back some of the things the other lady had wrote in the notes on Friday. Ok. So. They did deliver in about 2.5 hours. However, it was NOT an arrangement by any means. It was basically 1.5 dozen roses stuck in a clear glass vase (you know, the thing I didn't want), and a few extra filler things that looked thrown in randomly to make it look asymmetrical! Very poorly quickly done. NO EFFORT was put into this. It is definitely NOT unique! I showed the original lady on Friday about 10 pictures of ideas. Trying to "go local" during the coronavirus pandemic, I decided to find a local florist to deliver flowers to my ill friends. I came across Countryside online as it seemed to be the only one in town. While the website is a bit clunky, it does have quite a large collection of photos featuring arrangements for every occasion with prices ranging from $40 to a couple hundred. I was impressed with the selection. I was able to choose my arrangement and pay using PayPal online, which is very convenient. After I submitted my order I realized that I had completely screwed it up! I had entered the incorrect address and there was an error in my phone number! I found the contact email on their website and emailed them, letting them know what the correct address and phone number were. I also Asked them to give me a call to confirm the changes. I honestly didn't expect them to actually call back, and had planned on calling them the next day anyway just to make sure. Within a few minutes I received an email back from an employee who stated that they received the correct address and would deliver it no problem. I was impressed with how quickly I received a response! A couple days later, my friend sent me a text and a picture of the arrangement, which was so bright, cheery and extremely cute. My family and I have ordered flowers from Countryside for years, and they always have amazed us with their arrangements. I live out of state and call them for holidays and birthdays, with not much more than a list of a couple favorite flowers, and let them go to town. All the arrangements have been delightful and it's interesting to discover what's in them. Prices are reasonable and they have kindly accommodated my sometimes short memory for quick turn around. Horrible florist. Charged $40 for a corsage made of 3 daisies. Total rip off! When I questioned the price in light of the cheap flowers used, was told that is the cost of a wrist corsage. Salesperson taking the order over the phone was rude also. Will never go there again and would advise anyone else to check other florists for more appropriate prices with nicer flowers. read more

I purchased a corsage (complete with Velcro strap...what???) from another florist and it was nothing like the picture I had sent them two weeks before. I was so disappointed with their work, I didn't even want to ask them to make it right. I called Countryside and they told me to bring it in and they'd see what they could do. I showed them the picture and we walked around to see what they had in stock to fix it up. Within 15 minutes I had a beautiful corsage that completely met my expectations. I just love flowers, especially an artful arrangement of cut flowers. I took a huge armful to the airport each time my wife returned from a business trip, and it became our way of marking "homecoming." Now that we're back living in Ohio, we took a look at several area florists. Not one comes close to matching the level of service and quality of product provided by Countryside Florist in Richfield. Poor quality and bad attitude. I ordered through Teleflora for Mother's Day and the flowers were delivered by Countryside. The Teleflora picture showed tons of roses, assorted other flowers, in a rose covered pitcher with a box of chocolates. I paid the premium price and delivery charge. The bouquet my mother received: 3 regular roses and 3 baby roses, minimal other flowers, in a bright yellow pitcher, and no chocolates. I called to complain and the woman said it was Teleflora's issue and HUNG UP ON ME after I asked that another bouquet be delivered. This florist is in my hometown (now live in Boston) and that was the treatment I received. read more

We used Countryside Florist for our wedding back in August and I am so happy that we did! Sandy and her team did such an amazing job with everything! I absolutely loved wedding planning and picking everything out for the big day, but flowers is something I have little knowledge about as far as what to put together and what is in season. When I went to my first appointment, I met with Sandy and she helped by showing me options and telling me what all she could do. I was not much help but with her recommendations and thoughts I was able to email her my ideas! The flower bouquets for me and my girls looked amazing! They were always responsive and helpful. The flowers were delivered on time the morning of the wedding and Sandy even helped pin all the corsages on the men and fluffed my dress out the moment right before I walked down the aisle. I went in to Countryside toward the end of the day to get a birthday bouquet for my sister. I was asked how much I wanted to spend and if I had any colors in mind. Working with only the price, the florist spent a few minutes out of sight and then produced a glorious bouquet, which my sister loved.
